If the kids fail in the game over timeline and don't make universe C, how is caliborn talking to the kids in that universe? He isn't talking to them from the alpha timeline twice is he?

This isn’t explained but it most likely has to do with how John’s retcon abilities are different than normal time travel and how they affect the meta
