What did Caliborn mean when he said Dave's sword was the only thing that was a poison to his invincibility because of a "WHITE ROUNDCIRCLE OF TOTAL KNOWLEDGE"?

He was referring to the Cueball which was used in making Dave’s sword. The cueball is Caliborn’s only known weakness, although I don’t think it was ever explained as to why
