Did the alpha kids have consorts on their planets, similar to the nakodiles and salamanders on the beta kids planets? I don't remember any consorts being shown for them... Is that because they're in a dead session?

Yes they had consort, but the consorts were all dead.  You can see skeletal remains in various pages such as in [S] ACT 6 ACT 3
