The whole “session lacking their knight’s aspect” isn’t canon. The A1 session is proof of this since Mind is apparently supposed to mean logic but the A1 trolls did everything correctly, it was just a null session.

Calliope’s father was the one who destroyed the troll planet and yes, that panel is proof that Kanaya will be successful in rebuilding the troll race in the new universe. We don’t know that that was the only troll planet though. Whether or not cherubs only exist in that universe hasn’t been answered in-comic.

The only Quest Bed that could be used by the trolls is Jade’s Space bed being used by Kanaya but those require a dream body and hers is dead.

Meenah’s session scratched and the troll groups were switched. Meenah’s group became the ancestors post-scratch on Alternia and Karkat’s group became the players.
