This may be a stupid question. But what causes the vast glub again and in the newer updates, (Spoiler I Guess?) How did Sollux die from it/how did they save him from it??
Sollux died because he had not yet entered the Medium before it was released and also because he was a yellow blood and only fuchsia bloods can survive it. His Derse dream self woke up and took his place after Feferi kissed his dead body. I explained the Vast Glub already here.
Does anyone who asks questions actually pay attention reading homestuck?
Homestuck is a long and confusing story so it’s easy to get confused. I became a Mod because I like helping clarify information and talking about Homestuck so I don’t mind answering these questions.
(hypothetical theory) on going godtier and dream selves, could one dreamself possibly locate their own dead body and place it on the Quest Bed/Cocoon and go godtier then (basing this off how Bec Noir placed Jade on hers and made Jadesprite go godtier)?
If they were quick enough, maybe. It’s kind of a limited window, that corpse has got to be fresh.
I've got 2 questions actually. 1. How do you still know all these things 2. I can't really understand what has happened with doc scratch? How he transformed into lord english and what he did with damara (sorry if this is too much to ask, thank you so much for all the explenation, It really helped me a lot)
1. We read Hs often and check the wiki a lot.
2. Lord English’s soul resided in Doc Scratch so once Scratch was dead, he emerged from the body. Doc Scratch intercepted the Handmaid’s meteor and raised her himself. He trained her in the clockwork majyyks and when he died she would be enslaved by Lord English and placed under a curse.

Jake did attack her on this page because he thought she was the Condesce from the past.
hold on hold on... you said the Condesce blew up the Derse moon so the kids could go god-tier. So the Condesce is actively helping them?
The Condesce wants the players to win their session and create a new universe presumably so she can rule it. This doesn’t mean she’s a benevolent person, she just has a common interest.
The Condensce is the black queen of the session though, right? Doesn't that mean the players have to defeat her to get the planet for her to rule over? Or do they just need to kill the king?
The Black and White kings have been killed already. The Black Queen’s defeat isn’t required to win a session. Right now the Alphas need to place the beta kid’s battle field at the center of Skaia, request the Genesis Frog from Echidna, and place that frog at the center of the battlefield and the new universe will grow.
could you explain rose's relation to Doc Scratch because apparently he became her uncle or something? also why did lil hal need a human form and what's his relation to Doc? thanks ^_^
Doc Scratch told Rose to call him uncle because he contains Lil Hal’s soul and Lil Hal is technically related to Dirk. This makes him similar to his brother. Lil Hal wanted to be prototyped and have a body and Dirk said he would prototype him.
So I'm a bit confused about what happened after Jade realized she was asleep before [S] ==> MSPA Reader: Have Mental Breakdown (or something like that), so what's happening right now is the timeline where John died, as well as Bird Dave, and Jade didn't go Grimbark, Terezi and Vriska are both alive and well, and John didn't put his arm in the Juju, so the Terezi Scarf Adventure happened in a different time line, and that's why John and Roxy are now with the rest of the gang? (sorry if too much)
Jade still went Grimbark she’s just asleep right now because Vriska put her to sleep. Pre retcon John and Roxy escaped from the Game Over timeline and zapped over to this new timeline after John retconned out Vriska’s death.
SO rose just got her own version of davesprite, Given Terezi's body is also on Johns Planet, could there possibly be two terezis (Terezai plural?) at some point.
If somone prototypes her then yes there could be two Terezis.
Edit: Terezi’s body is on Lopan not Lowas and John only brought Lowas with him so no Terezi cannot be prototyped.
in some places ive read that hal os the prince of heart is that canon?
Lil Hal is a splinter self of Dirk and Dirk is the Prince of Heart so by extension Lil Hal also holds some of the title’s traits.
But since he’s not the real Dirk he’s not actually a Prince of Heart.
This question may've been lost by tumblr, so I'm asking again. It seems the only possible timeline which could house the A6A6A5 story with Caliborn's future is this post!retcon one we're in. In that story, Caliborn described when John beat him up during Game Over, but that was a different timeline. Does this mean that a) John will beat up this Caliborn as well before the final battle, b) It's all one timeline for Caliborn, because timelines are a property of a single genesis frog? c) plot hole.
It’s all the same timeline for Caliborn. He was not effected by the retconing
So about this post I've seen, it's gotten me confused. Is Vriska right in saying nothing can touch a sprite that hasn't been prototyped twice? Because John high-fived harlequinnsprite p early on. And if you can only safely touch your own then how are Jadesprite and Davesprite things?
Prototyping mechanics have not been explored that much in canon, but there is a theory that for a living person to be prototyped they have to be willing like Dave, the Jade that got prototyped was dead so she didn’t need to be willing.
Another theory is that for a person to be prototyped they have to actively jump into the sprite.
Maybe Vriska actually believes that if you touch a sprite at all you get prototyped, maybe she’s just being a dick, either way she’s wrong.
Oh wait, but question number 3! John zapped the kids to Caliborn using his powers, which means that Caliborn's original alpha timeline didn't account for that. That means, to create stable loops, that the original Cal!timeline involved Caliborn and Arquius and Gamzee getting sucked into Lil Cal and getting sent back without the use of John's zappy powers, right? That needs to happen to be stable, but the horrorterror's original alpha intentions can't include John's retcons by definition.
But they had to account for the retcon in order for
the creation of Lil’ Cal and Lord English to be in a stable timeloop. The retcon was always apart of the alpha timeline because without the retcon the session would have failed.
Hey sorry if this is asked already but can a person go God Tier if their dreamself is dead? I'm just wondering since Jade went God Tier but her dreamself was sorta alive because she was a sprite... Anyway I'm asking if a person can go God Tier if their dreamself is DEAD and not a sprite. By the way, I like your blog!
Thank you, and yes a person can ascend without a dreamself if they use their Sacrificial Slab located at the heart of the player’s dream planet’s moon.
Something that's always confused me is why did Terezi's eyes turn red when she was blinded if her blood is teal?
There’s a theory saying that in troll society bright red=damaged. Terezi’s eyes were damaged and turned Red. Karkat has something wrong with his pigment gland and his blood turns red. Wearing bright Red gives the illusion that the troll was gravely injured and is walking around like it’s nothing, possibly why Vriska and Terezi wear red shoes, to intimidate their opponents.
Do you think there are any terribly important things about Kankri and his character or do you think he'll remain pretty unrelated to anything for the rest of the story? Are there any key elements about him that are pretty important?
I don’t think any of the Beforan trolls, aside from Meenah and Aranea will have any impact on the story considering Hussie originally wasn’t going to introduce them.
Would it be possible to ascend twice if you were asleep on your quest bed, put your dreamself on their quest bed, and had both die at the same time?
I don’t think it’s possible to ascend twice. I also don’t think that their are multiple ascending stones. Since Skaia already knows everything about the session I think that Quest Beds are give to those that will need them and Sacrificial Slabs are given to those that will use them, and no one gets both. But that’s just my headcanon, there’s nothing mentioned about it in canon
I'd like to clarify the question about vriska and the sprites... All of the beta kids' sprites were prototyped twice right? Like johns sprite was prototyped with nana's ashes and the Harley Quinn doll. Dave's sprite was prototyped with the crow and a doomed Dave. Rose's sprite was jasper(?) and that weird cephalopod plushy. And jade's was becquerel and dream jade. So vriska would be right about jake and tavrossprite then, right? (Sorry if I did this in the wrong area. First time doing this :/ )
When John high fived his sprite it didn’t have Nanna’s ashes in it yet so it was only single tier prototyped.
We’ve also seen Kanaya’s sprite touch her and it was only single prototyped as well.
Since grandpa stuffed jade's dreamself's body through some time travel portal stuff, doesn't that mean he could have stuffed his own body through the same means?
The teleporter doesn’t work that way. He was teleproted into the future because the Medium did not exist at his time when he used the teleporter. And when he went home it teleported him right back to the time period he left. Grandpa Harley had no way to teleport into Earth’s future or even ahead of his own timeline.
Has anything been confirmed about the pre-retcon sprites? Like, pre-retcon Erisol, pre-retcon Davesprite etc. Are they all on LOWAS or was it just Jaspersprite that came over?
