I consider any part of Homestuck not done by Hussie to be semi-canon.
Guest artists are going to have their own biases and preferences reflected by their art which I feel is a product of but also goes against Homestuck’s ideology that all the characters are essentially blank slates that the readers can interpret in any way they like.
Instances of Guest Artists using personal interpretations of characters (in these cases Karkat) can be seen in Collide and Game Over. In Collide when we see Karkat dual-wield sickles, but that’s the only time we ever see him dual-wield. Or in Game Over how Karkat is animated having short sleeves when we have always seen his outfit having long sleeves.
Like Steven Universe, Homestuck allows its art team a full range of creative control with how they draw characters, and there’s nothing wrong with that, it just lets certain content get into the comic that wasn’t laid out by the Huss-man himself.
So to answer your question on how much of the credits/snapchat content I view as canon; All of it, in varying degrees.
Mspa search feature is very handy and for stuff I can’t find with that I usually have a pretty good idea of where in the story it took place to use as a starting point

Equius! As for why, I think there was just something about a creepy kid that no one really liked that 16 year old me was really drawn to and he’s just stuck with me since.
Also when I say no one, I mean no one. Equius was like the least popular character back in 2012, there was next to no fan art or anything for him. The same thing could be said about Nepeta. It wasn’t until the short lived late-2012 memes of “with Equius” and “Nepeta’s dead” that the fandom as a whole started to appreciate these beautiful children.
Universe C is the universe created by the kids’ session. They also took B2 Earth to Universe C which eventually became home to the Cali twins. The Earth doesn’t go through a Black Hole until Caliborn starts his session and it just goes to his medium.

Post-retcon she was constantly put on a guilt trip by Vriska about Terezi killing her in that alt-timeline.
Latula can’t smell, and has some other non-specified disorder that she takes meds for.

All the guardians sans Dad have canon names, they all share names with their pre/post scratchselves. This is shown with Nanna saying her name is Jane, and the Handmaid being referred to as Damara by members of the Felt.
Maybe mildly towards the end of the story, but feel like it was more of a “really sad/bored” depression and not quite to the disorder/disability level, but maybe that’s just me.
But it’s not like a 50/50 split like it used to be. You can say Vriska was bad without getting blasted with discourse.

If you try to teleport something from the past that already has a future trail into the present you create a Ghost Imprint, which is basically a pile of goop containing the genetic makeup of whatever you tried to teleport.
John took Grandpa (Jake’s) and Nanna (Jane’s) ghost imprints and mixed them together and created himself and Jade. Which makes Jake and Jane their genetic parents. He did the same with Bro and Mom’s ghost imprints to make Dave and Rose.

Oh yeah, also there’s ghost of all the people that played the game and died and they find some bullshit thing that basically makes one of the kids a fucking consequence-free tardis. And the ghost are like gonna fight the big bad skeleton guy as like this huge army and stuff while the kids and aliens are gonna fight a bunch of other strong bad guys. And then they do! The kids win, but the ghost all die but they get the big bad anyway. After that everyone that still alive goes to the previously flooded Earth but in the future when it’s not flooded and lives happily ever after…

Grandpa Harley owned and Mom Lalonde worked at Skaianet which is the company that made the Sburb Beta so that probably accounts for them.
