I remember reading on of Andrew’s Q&As that the plain black ancestor look was just a stylistic choice like when he drew the guardians with only noses or mouths. It’s not their literal appearance.

Kankri doesn’t talk about the highbloods he was raised by but since he’s a mutant we can generally assume that’s what happened. A lusus wouldn’t choose a mutant to take care of unless it was specifically bred for it like Karkat’s lusus was.
Calliope mentions here that the limebloods possessed powerful abilities that threatened the highbloods more than the other powers that the lowbloods had so they were hunted to extinction.

I saw the ask about how kankri was raised and felt the need to say a thing on it! Kankri was unable to obtain a lusii because of his mutant status, but stated somewhere in openbound, porrim and her lusus took him in.

ive seen some theories that davekat is a multi-quadrant relationship (or rather just a human one.) while im certain that davekat is canon is there any substantial evidence to back up them being in a multi-quadrant relationship or is that merely a theory?
