No in gamzee and Karkat's first conversation they talk about being moirails. Karkat doing the pacification thing was part of them being moirails already
Okay I just read their first conversation, and Karkat spends the whole thing insulting Gamzee and telling him how much he hates him. That doesn’t sound very moirail-y to me
