Basically, the players have to go through seven gates to reach Skaia where they can face the Black King who is supposed to be the final boss and then make their new universe. Thus why there are seven gates between each planet and Skaia.

The fourth wall is typically what separates the story from the reader. Homestuck breaks this wall and has the story interact with the reader.

the first gate takes you down to your planet, right? and the second to your servers planet? how do you reach your third gate after going to your servers planet
I’m not positive, but I assume you take the server’s second gate and keep taking second gates until you get back to your planet and then find the third gate.

Yeah, the gates take you to other planets or to different spots on your planet. The first takes you lower to your planet. Second takes you to your server’s planet. I believe the sixth gate take you to the dwelling of your denizen. And the seventh takes you to Skaia. I’m not sure about the others.

No, Jade has seven. The blown up Prospit is just in the way so you can’t see the other two.

Well considering Caliborn is a skeleton monster, I think most people are chubby in comparison. Jane’s probably average chubbiness, but keep whatever headcannon you like.

When you say 'leading them to the new universe' and 'to reign as gods' Do you mean that it just spits them out in the middle of space with omnipotent abilities? Or do they arrive on the planet the species is to originate on?
I’m not sure since it hasn’t happened.
I know that the door goes to the universe, where specifically, I dunno.
The players wouldn’t be omnipotent but there would be more than likely be at least one godtier amongst them who are p. much immortal and have advanced abilities.
Also in Karkat’s first pesterlog with John, he ranted about he was John’s god and etc.

Uhm, actually, pertaining to the earlier ask about a normal session? It would be more like the dancestor's session. (which they only failed at because they were bad players.) Jack wouldn't be there, and if he was, he wouldn't actually be a part of the plot like he was in the post-scratch troll's session or in the Beta kid's session! :) Also, in Karkat's session, the created universe wouldn't have a Tumor.

They’re big giant squid monster thingies that live in outerspace. Lord English is there enemy. They can assist Derse players. But mostly, their role is to just be scary as shit.
Also Gl'bgolyb is a horrorterror albeit the smallest one.

@HT/Squiddles theory: Don't forget it was one of Andrew's not-very-serious Formspring answers. Squiddles as creators of the troll universe? Who knows, maybe. Squiddles as a subconscious reimagining of the HTs? Canon. Squiddles becoming the HTs (meta-game constructs and "creators" of SBURB, mind you) after winning one session among others? Far-fetched... Maybe they just got along with the HTs well, if their session ever took place.

Horrorterrors were indeed shown to become Squiddles in one of the Trickster parts, but that part is very metaphorical and it might just be a reference at how the squiddles are a candy-coated reconceptualizing of the horrorterrors, not technically the same thing as them.

Also adding that the Horrorterrors themselves are "just" against the creation of new universes. That aside, they are dark, but not evil. LE (and by extension The Felt) on the other hand, has a much more sinister, completly destructive agenda and probably just wants to "destroy everything he wants for as long as he wants".
i may be misremembering, and it does make sense that they would be, but i don't recall that being canon.

For cherub tongue anon: It probably has to do with the alignment. The benevolent side has a white tongue, and the malevolent side's is black. Like how their eyes and cheek swirls change.
