what does the 'just' in the clock mean?
The death of a god is judged and should it be just or heroic they shall remain lifeless.
Just means it was fair, it would be morally wrong for them to come back to life. Basically, they deserved it or had it coming.
Example: Jane, she was doing bad things and died while doing them. If she were to come back she would continue to be evil and that’s not good, therefore her death was just.
how does the mod remember all this?
Well I’ve read through homestuck more than once and I have a pretty good memory but I also look up stuff if I don’t know it off the top of my head.
I have a question about the prototyping of Jadesprite, how did Jade get be able to get her dreamself's body to use it on Becsprite?
Grandpa Harley stuffed her dreamself and kept it in the attic. Similar to how she stuffed Grandpa after he died and how Alpha Dad stuffed Poppop.
Sorta forgot, but to get to other worlds/lands you need to enter the sburb portal(the green portal that all the kids built up to), right? If I'm wrong, can you explain it?
You’re right, but the portals are different colors for different players. John’s were green, Dave’s were red, Rose’s were purple, and so forth.
I wonder if anyone noticed that there are four kids in each session each with four letter names.
And there are 2 groups of 6 post-scratch trolls each with 2 names that contain 6 letters.
Wait, why are Dirk's robots Zillyhoo-coloured? I can't remember for the life of me when this happened.
It happened when they were Tricksters and making the Zilly weapons.
Wait, I just caught up with all of Homestuck from [S] Game Over, and what exactly is a trollsona Jane is talking about?
A trollsona is a troll version on ones self. A troll persona if you will.
I've heard of "grub scars", marks the trolls have after pupating, quite frequently, and seen them in more art sources than not that include pictures where the trolls' bare sides are visible, but cannot for the life of me find if this is canon or just a very popular headcanon. Help please??
Popular headcanon
So, I was in my english class today, and my teacher mentioned that an apple is usually a symbol of destruction, and it just so happens that right before the meteor that strikes(around) John's house, he has an apple.
That’s a neat fact. Thanks for sharing.
what would happen if someone threw their dreamself into their kernel sprite like jade did?
Then they would have a sprite of themselve like dave, jade, and aradia did
Wait, so what's the point of the other players then? Canon fodder for the black king?
They have their own quests and purposes. A time and space player are the bare minimum. A two-player session is incredibly rare and more difficult than the average session.
What would happen if the player threw their own body into their sprite(Not the dreamself, just themselves) as the first prototyping? Would they still be able to continue playing the game and doing everything with their Server Player, or would something else happen because the Client is a sprite?
They would still be able to play. For proof, please see Aradia in Act 5 Act 1.
If a player was to throw themselves into their kernel sprite, would they be able to reach god tier?
See Aradia
Yo! I understand why a space player is needed, but why a time player too?
Time players’ planets house the instrument to initiate a scratch, so they must be present in each session
What are all the canon things we know about troll anatomy? With all the headcanons floating around, it's hard to remember what's real an what's not.
Here’s the wiki page on Troll Biology
Oh my, I read every single fact -'
Good job, A+. If I had a trophy I’d give it to you.
I am so glad there is blogs like this that answer even the most idiotic of questions, and others that are generally confusing. Thank you for putting up with our strange fandom.
Thank you for your kind words anon, and you are quite welcome.
If a living god tier player prototyped themself (like, if they hadn't prototyped the sprite before the session or something) and were killed as a sprite in a way which was neither heroic nor just what would happen?
Well if they didn’t prototype their sprite before entry then they’re in a void session so anything they do is p. much a doomed timeline. But that’s beside the point, they’d probably just come back to life.
are the players of sburb already decided before the game even starts or is it just luck? also, are you assigned classpects based on personality, but get your personality from your classpect? l
The players are created in the game so they’re decided long before the game starts. Classpects on the other hand are up in the air, we don’t really know how those are assigned.
Do some of these people even read the comics? these questions are like forgetting harry potter used a wand chirst
Whoa there friend, no need to be frustrated. Homestuck is a HUGE comic. You can’t possibly expect the average person to remember everything, hell, I don’t even remember everything. I have to look a lot of stuff up half the time.
Bottom line, you should never get upset with someone for not having a good memory, it’s not their fault.
Is the kids session void now that Jane is dead, or can the still succeed? Are the time and space tiers need for the whole game?
I assume you’re talking about Jade, but yes they can still win. They really only need the Space players’s planet since it’s always Land of ??? and Frogs. She already made the frog anyway. It has just been sitting in a bubble on the bottom of a volcano for three years. I’m sure it’s fine.
a void session isn't the same thing as a doomed timeline. if the alpha timeline included not prototyping before entry, prototyping before entry would lead to a doomed timeline. it's only not a doomed session if you do what you do.
Well, I mean, you can’t win in a Void Session, so it’s pretty much a doomed timeline.
I’m not going to argue this though so believe what you like.
it would be cool if the Classpect decision was like the "Dive to the Heart" in Kingdom Hearts
I do not play Kingdom Hearts so the reference is wasted on me.
It's important to note how long it's been going on. Some people could have been reading since it started and idk about you but remembering certain details can be hard after it's been years since you initially took it in. It's easy to forget stuff with a comic this big that's been going on so long. It's not safe to assume every fan began reading recently and caught up ASAP. A lot of folks have been at it for years. I can't exactly remember every detail of something I read 4 years ago.
yea, this too
You need more forgotten facts about the hemospectrum.
Forgotten HS Fact: Hemo means blood and spectrum means spectrum, and the hemospectrum is a spectrum of blood!
That Andrew Hussler is sooo sneaky.
has equius and kanaya ever canonically interacted?
Kanaya cut Tavros’s legs off so Equius could put on the robo pair so they must have at some point.
Could you link me to the page where Caliborn changes his text color to Calliope's blood color? thanks in advance~
Here you go
why did Kanaya cut Tavros’s legs off?
So Equius could attach the robot ones
