Nah, I just haven’t been super into Homestuck, been focused on other interests and whatnot, plus like, it takes work to answer some of these questions and I just haven’t had the motivation. 

I was one a the fans to drop hs during the gigapuse and I dunno how tf to pick it back up—how long do y'all speculate it'd take to reread (if not I'll just jump in wherever caliborn started fucking the entire website rip)

Golly I dunno, I haven’t attempted a reread in a few years, since long before it finished. It also depends on how fast you read and how long each day you intend to read it for. It could take anywhere between 2-ish weeks to like a couple months.

That’s not true. There are Undead creature on Alternia but there’s no evidence that they are Zombie Trolls

It’s like, kinda semi-canon.  Calliope seems to mention it or something similar when she says: “ player abilities may also manifest in ways in defiance with their aspects if they are heavily resistant to their trUe calling. or, if corrUpted in some way by an oUtside inflUence.” You can see this inversion of abilities happen in Jade at the begging of the story, Rose when she’s Grimdark, (Vriska) when she becomes (Vriska) as well as probably a few others 

Why were the trolls so mad at Eridan for killing the angels when they were killing their denizens?

Well, killing angels was a big waste of time as Eridan had to blast them for a long time before they died and they didn’t even produce any Grist so there was no benefit to it.

Does anyone ever say "lol" in Homestuck? my top contesters are Roxy and Sollux but I can't remember

Nepeta, Vriska, Jade, Roxy and Davepeta all have said it multiple times (Jade and Roxy especially like wow) while Karkat,Terezi have said it once, John said “lolled” once. Sollux surprisingly only says it twice

The dead people place is called the Dream Bubbles! I don’t recall there being any canon Karezi but I’m sure it happened in at least one offshoot timeline.

And Yes, I’m very Excited for Hiveswap, I paid a lot of money for it and I can’t wait

Jade, Kanaya and Calliope dreamt on Prospit for several years prior to when they played the game. Others woke up shortly before or during Sburb/Sgrub

Doc Scratch tied her lifespan to the Universe because he knew Slick would eventually kill her and Lord English can’t enter a universe until it’s destroyed

That’s not true.  The Signless was able to remember parts of his life as Kankri on Beforus due to being a Seer of Blood.

All trolls are said to have ancestors, but not in the same sense as humans. A troll’s ancestor isn’t just the ones that provided the genetic material for them, if it was they’d have hundreds of ancestors each. A troll’s ancestor is the person who provided the majority of their genetics, usually by the time a troll’s descendant hatches they’ll have been dead for many many sweeps

if johns group came first and cloned janes group from their guardians, meaning that janes group are their 'parents', does this mean that karkats group are kankris groups 'parents?'

Possibly? With Karkat’s group being the ones to actually do the ectobiology it’s not entirely known. It’s implied that Karkat’s group are the “parents” but it’s never stated outright so we can’t know for sure 100%.

There are plenty of good theories out there but we don’t really have anything concrete to go on, just that it happened from him exerting himself to protect his friends.

Roxy and Sollux are the main ones. Karkat and John also have some coding ability but not nearly as good as the other two.

They spent three years together on a tiny meteor. Post-retcon Rose and Kanaya were busy being gay, Vriska and Terezi were busy being gay, and Gamzee was fuck off doin his own thing, so Dave, Karkat and the Mayor were left to become super best buddies forever (and then some??)

yeah, Dirk and Roxy went into the Lotus Time Capsule in the Frog Temple which sent them into the past/future in order to wake Jake

Yes, several times,  B2 Rose was Roxy’s guardian, much like B1 Roxy was Rose’s guardian, but genetically, biologically Roxy is Rose’s mother

i feel like approaching with the mentality of 'straight until proven otherwise' in regards to characters like john & jane & roxy is kind of eeeeeh but i guess its whatever you want to believe. wouldn't agree with calling their straightness 'canon' though, as its never confirmed.

There’s canon evidence behind John and Jane being straight tho and yes they could grow and figure out that they weren’t but based on the evidence presented, canonically they’re likely straight
