if troll lips are naturally black, why do the guys not get drawn with black lips? Im not trying to disagree with the cannon, i am illegitimately confused

It’s canon for all trolls, but it really depends on how the panel is drawn. Females are almost always drawn exclusively with black lips unless they are wearing lipstick of a different color. Males, however…

Actually, they usually have black lips too. It probably isn’t as noticeable (especially for sprites) since the girls are drawn with somewhat feminine lips while the boys have teeth like something out of a dentist’s nightmare. Ultimately, it depends on the style of the panel.

sollux's lips look a little grey there, but i guess that's just how the panel was drawn. i myself am a little iffy on the INK BLACK lips thing, even though its pretty much totally canon,, i guess its just because, in art and cosplay (maybe for drawing, it depends on the art style?), grey lips look better than black lips. but i mean, just a thought

I was reading my human anatomy book and it said "ampora" was Latin for "beaker" and I was like wow homestuck but why "beaker"?

Eridan’s symbol is Aquarius, which means The Waterbearer. A beaker holds (bears) water

Idk, that is the way she was drawn. All of the Megidos have red lips, just like the Serkets have blue lips.

I think the whole deal about the difference between male and female troll lips is pretty similar to the male/female difference you see in humans in cartoons and stuff. Humans have naturally pink lips, but girls are always drawn with more pronounced lip features than males are, you know?

Well, with regards to the lips thing, some of the female trolls have different colored lips but, it's just lipstick, like how the condesce has colored lips, she kissed a panel at the end of act 6 act 5 and it came off colored, because it's lipstick. And when Vriska kissed her monitor with Nic Cage on it, and it came off blue, it's lipstick. /Trolls with colored lips are wearing lipstick./

And I mentioned before how the Megidos have red lips and the Serkets have blue lips, but I forgot to mention that while The Condence and Meenah have fuchsia lips, Feferi does not
