If we start taking everything from Homestuck literally (something I doubt Hussie intended us to do), we might as well assume that, based on the fact that Equius' trolltag is CentaursTesticle, hoofbeasts (and possibly other Trollian animals) reproduce the same way humans do, in which case it doesn't make sense for Trolls to be so confused by human biology and reproduction.

Stop being so dramatic. My point is, Homestuck is very surreal, and sometimes it just doesn't make sense. You can't read too far into something that's meant to be silly and fun.

I was under the impression that the Hemospectrum is based on longevity. And maybe strength, too. I think I remember Feferi strong-jumping through her gates like Equius at some point, but I don't have a source for that.

I don’t recall such a thing.

I should really re-read Homestuck at some point.
