The kind I’m talking about is a Loop Paradox, where two points cause each other like John making the kids, but in order for John to have been able to make the kids he had to make himself also as well.
The kind you’re talking about is an Unstable Temporal Paradox where something changes something which would stop the first thing from coming back and changing it. This is what happened with Davesprite and why all characters from doomed timelines are doomed themselves.
