While the original post might've been some time ago, the Derse dreamers do have seven letters in their last names! S t r i d e r (7 letters) and L a l o n d e (7 letters). With this, it makes H a r l e y (6 letters) and E g b e r t (6 letters) almost strange!

Forgotten Fact: The ancestors on Alternia are the AU versions Beforan Trolls, not the Alpha Trolls. People seem to forget that way more often than they should. Often naming the Ancestors after the descendants.

Actually. Here, Slick refers to a young Handmaid as Damara, so it is highly likely that the ancestors have the same names as their prescratch selves.  But they are not, as you said, the same person.

For anyone trying to get a better grasp of a character I would recommend visiting their page on the wikia, which has a list of all the pesterlogs they’ve been in and read all the pesterlogs.  I’d also recommend, especially for the Beforan trolls to go play any flash games they’ve been apart of.

in response to Jane's entry: Maybe Gcat shoving grandpa into space changed things altogether? The session would become void and never have a real reckoning since Skaia was destroyed and the kings were dead. The meteor portals never happen because Gcat forces the session to change for the other kids to arrive. In addition to this: the meteor does not hit or fade away in the seconds before it hits Jane, it simply vanishes.

That is a pretty good theory.

I sent an ask about the "troll teeth grow back" fact when you posted it, but I don't think it sent, so I'll try again. Equius was only 6 sweeps/13 years old at that time. He said his teeth "usually" grow back. Assuming that trolls loose teeth like humans do, Equius could have been knocking out baby teeth that grew back as adult teeth. The ones that haven't grown back could've already been adult teeth, so they'll never grow back.

um, that last ask was kind of incorrect. the only meteors to go to B2 Earth were the eight that the babies were on, the frog temple, and the troll meteor. the thing coming towards her in "Jane: Enter" was the condesce's ship.

I'm not sure where it was mentioned exactly, but Ive heard Lord English was originally meant to be beaten by slick as far back as the MNC intermission and that Betty Crocker (back before she was merged with the Condesce as one character or even before the condesce was thought up) was meant to be the main and final antagonist. But that during said intermission, Hussie altered his plans. Does anyone know if this is true or not?

Hussie didn’t originally plan to have trolls either.

Who knows, that could be true.

Technically speaking, yes, The Beforan trolls are the offspring of the Alternian trolls’ pre-scratch counterparts.

I think that with the debate over whether or not Karkat is Kankri's father, you have to take into consideration that Karkat did the ectobiology thing, like John. Wouldn't that make him Kankri's son?

Not necessarily. We don’t know for sure who is who’s parental figure regarding the trolls. It really depends on who was cloned and who was ectobiologically made.  We assume that since the Beforans came first that is how it works out with the Beforan ancestors being the parents. 

We can’t be sure really.
