Karkat has a sprite? I know Rose does from the recent update, but I dont remember him having one? Also what requires someone to have a sprite, is it when they are prototyped?

Every player has/had a sprite.  Karkat’s was of his Crabdad.

What's the difference between Bro Strider and Dirk Strider?

Dirk Strider is post scratch and from the future. Bro Strider is pre scratch and is lacking facial features.

I feel like Dirk's return has been written rather ambiguously. Do you feel that he could come back and be a villain?

Vriska keeps grouping him with the bad guys, yes, but I don’t think he’ll be a bad guy.  I think she’s just not looking forward to meeting him because Dirk kinda has some control issues and likes to be the one to make the plans and he won’t like that she’s telling everyone what to do.

do you know if it's possible that some period of time passed in Cascade between the Tumor's detonation and Dave & Rose's meeting the troll's meteor? in recent upd8s dave said they survived travelling from (at least near) the center of the Green Sun bc of their conditional immortality, but now that i think about it, it should've taken at least SOME time to get through a star twice the mass of their universe, right? if not, do you have any other explanations?

You’re right, should have taken awhile to get out of the Green Sun, especially since they were at the center.

Maybe they got pushed more towards the edge when the Tumor exploded.  Maybe Dave used some time travel hijinks.  We may never know.

When you’re alive you can travel the dreambubbles while you sleep or if you are actually passing through the dreambubbles.  Karkat did both once, it was kinda funny.

If you’re dead, you’re ghost lives there.

The areas in the dreambubbles are made up of the memories of those inside it.

How do you think Sollux gets in his recuperacoon? It looks like it has places to put his feet and climb up but they split and go to different holes. I've never fully understood how he sleeps in it.

Each side has a different goop in it so he probably picks which to use based on his mood, to fit with his duality theme.

You pick a keyword and Ctrl+F that son of a bitch until you find a source or explanation or whatever the hell you’re looking for. You also have to factor in quirks so you might need to search it in the quirk.

It’s based on the version of the game they played.  Pre-scratch kids played the Sburb Beta and the post-scratch kids played the Sburb Alpha.

Grub is a little worm kinda guy used as technology or food in troll society , and wigglers are baby trolls.

Yes, Mod A’s answers aren’t always exactly spot-on and they might be a bit opinionated, but it’s just because they’re new, they haven’t gotten a chance to learn everything yet. I answered things the same way when I started, granted we didn’t get nearly as many asks back then. Part of growing as a Mod of this blog is occasionally answering something wrong and having someone correct you and then the next time you can answer it right. During my time as Mod I’ve had this happen more times than I can count, hell it still happens every now and again. Homestuck is a complex tale and it may take a few trial and errors before you can explain something properly. Just give Mod A some time, their answers may not be as detailed or accurate as mine but I’ve had two years to hone my craft, I have faith that they’ll pick it up pretty quick.

Oh boy okay, here we go.

Condesce: Trolls are off limits here since she can control them so I’m guessing John and Roxy as they could both easily dodge her attacks (John by turning into Breath and Roxy by turning intangible), maybe Dirk when he shows up.

Spades Slick: Karkat due to his past relationship with Slick and Jake cause he’s not in the right mental place to get into a serious rumble right now.

For the Dogs: Rose and Tavrosprite.  Tavrosprite may be able to commune with them using his psychic abilities and Rose using her advanced Seer powers would likely be able to predict teleporting.  Again though, like Vriska said, PM wants to beat up Bec Noir so Tavros and Rose might just be there to assist.  Maybe bring the Mayor too, idk.

Jack English: This guy needs tough fighters to brawl with him so  Dave, Terezi and Kanaya, maybe Dirk when he shows up, I’m not sure where to put him.

Jane will obviously be hopping  all over the place, and I feel like Arquius will stick with her to provide protection.  If not, I’d give him to Jack English because who’s tougher the Arquius?

I think Jaspersprite will stay with Jade because if Jade wakes he could instigate her into chasing him again and keeping her away from the Condesce.

This is all speculation, and I’ll probably end up being way off, but who knows

He’s a bad dude but not in the way that the other bad guys are.  He doesn’t have anything against the kids and he was Karkat’s exile so he might join them to the fight against the other Jacks.
