I watched [S] Prince of Heart: Rise up again because you said that Roxy hugged him in it, and I can't find that anywhere in the flash... I didn't even see Roxy in the flash tbh
Not that flash, she “hugs” him in Unite/Synchronize
okay so i read things really fast, and i understand the whole comic, while not understanding it. it's a good, not understanding. i read the whole comic in the span of four to five days and i've never really asked a question on this blog.
Well I gotta give you props for reading it in such a small timeframe.
what happened to the "chess people" roxy was trying to get in her house and save before the game started? did they go to her land too or did they all die?
They entered her land with everyone. You can see them with Jane and Roxy when they were setting up for Jane’s birthday party
Re: "if the Kings have sceptres then does that mean there is possibly a sceptre of hope and heart for the white and black king respectively in the alpha kids session?" You answered no but White Queen of Alpha Session has been shown with the White Kings' scepter on p=006500. Condesce probably has the Black's King's scepter.
Well I’ll be damned, I completely overlooked that. But regardless, no mention of scepters of heart/hope have been mentioned in canon. And at this point in the story if they haven’t been introduced they probably don’t exist.
I will never forget that the day before Jasprosesprite^2 happened I had answered a question asking if it was possible to prototype a sprite three times.
I personally want GCAT to prototype with nepetasprite
Same. It’d be a nice parallel to Jadesprite and then we might finally be able to figure out which of Jade’s powers are from her classpect snd which are from Bec
I cant remember why did john revive after grimdark rose and jack noir strife;shouldnt it be a just death?
No, he was blindsided, never got a chance to do anything more than take a battle stance. If he had charged at Jack and then got stabbed it would have been Just but since he got killed before he got to do anything is was neither a heroic or just death.
In Karkat's first conversation with John from Karkat's perspective, John says: "EB: maybe you got what you deserved, you stutid fuckass! " and then says that "stutid" is an in-joke Karkat doesn't get yet. Do we ever see the origin of that?
The only other time stutid is used that I could find was by Terezi talking to Dave. Dave and Terezi’s inside jokes are notorious for spreading, ever heard of jegus?
It’s kinda inconsistent. Like here Nepeta’s tongue is green.
Talksprites and other art from most of the walk-around flashs should not be considered canon since they were done by fan artists that were allowed to interpret the characters as they please.
i thought her trollsonas hair was white because it was like a special snowflake anime oc... i dont remember it ever being confirmed that it was a limeblood thing
It wasn’t stated why her hair was white, lime blood was a guess which is why it was followed by a question mark.
Good news everyone! I finally started another read-through of Homestuck, and I’m taking screen shots as I go, so get prepared for some crispy new, fresh-from-the-oven forgotten facts coming soon to a theatre near you
A friend of mine said that Jade believed herself to be the Knight of Time before the original titles were given. Is that true?
I can’t find any evidence that Jade thought this. Although following the theory of Classpect Inversion Jade did act more like her inverse, a Seer of Time earlier in the story.
is the grimdark = inversion theory true?? or just widely accepted fanon?
Grimdark can cause inversion like it did with Rose (making her act more like a Witch of Void) but since we’ve only seen one instance of grimdark we don’t know if it inverses the afflicted’s classpect every time.
Theory of Classpect Inversion? Oh, I'm curious! What is it about?
You can read the full theory here. But in short, when a player is overly resistant to their role or if they are corrupted by an outside source then their role will inverse meaning that their aspect and class unofficially shift to their opposites. Light to Void, Space to Time, Witch to Seer*.
*This can change depending on how you classify the classes into Active/Passive partnerships
I don’t think any classpect changes have ever been confirmed in canon; I’ve only ever seen conjecture, albeit popularized conjecture. But even Rose was never stated as undergoing any kind of role inversion, as far as I know.
I thought the trolls had elf ears in a few different cases. I'm not sure about when shit went down in act 5 but I know it was in the Vriska Instagram thing.
Those interpretations were done by fan artists and hold no canonical power over character appearances.
Are there also no canon representation of the trolls not having pointed ears? So therefore there is still a possibility and head canons with them being pointed aren't technically wrong?
Right, the whole point of the minimalist character design is to allow fans to give characters whatever physical traits they see fit. There’s is absolutely nothing wrong with headcannoning that trolls have elf ears, it just is not canon, that’s all.
me and my friend were studying bugs awhile ago, and according to what we researched trolls should not have external ears at all, because they're arthropods and not mammals.
From a biological stand point you’re right, but this in no way diminishes the possibility of trolls having external ears, pointed or otherwise.
Could Roxy create Sacrificial/Quest Beds for everyone else to Ascend before going to the big fight, so they'd have more powers and stuff? I don't remember if they'd have to go through the learning process of their powers and all...
I want to say no, just from a narrative standpoint. But there’s no canon evidence to say she can’t.
I just want you guys to know that if you ask about a characters appearance there is a 95% I will delete it and a 5% chance I will deny whatever you’re asking about. Because character appearances in this comic is all about individual interpretation and if I say yes to one thing then I’m also saying no to everything else, and I’m not about invalidating a person’s view of a character’s appearance even if it goes against what little canon info we have about said character’s physical features.
Because if someone wants to project their diversity, their ethnicity, their physical blemishes, if they want to make that character more relatable to themself, they have every right to do so and I’m not gonna be the one to tell them they can’t.
couldn't you argue that because it showed in up in the comic, it's canon. if it isn't supposed to be interpreted as such, wouldn't hussie tell the artists he gets assistance from to draw characters a certain way.
There’s some many conflicting styles though and they can’t all be canon, so none of them are
is there any sort of method to the act structure at all at this point? like is there a difference between the relevancy/significance of an act, a sub-act (like the second "act" in the act), a sub-sub-act, and an intermission?
Basically intermissions are a drastic shift from one part of the story to a very different part of the story. Sub-acts are essentially just a result of intermissions placed in the middle of an act rather than before or after one however this is only true of Act 6 sub-acts as Act 5 Act 1 acted more like an intermission. And an Act is just an overall section of the story usually each having their own beginning, middle and end.
