Why does Vriska put down Jake so much? She says hope powers are stupid and weak and the strength they have is false, but shouldn't she know by now that hope is one of the strongest powers?
It’s because he’s a Page. Pages start out weak and take a long time to reach their potential. Vriska tries to push them through it, she makes problems for them thinking that they’ll get stronger for overcoming them but really she just makes them sad.
