Bec prototyping himself was completely unnecessary in order to save jade from the way I see it, since he's "omnipotent" and all. I think there's actually a different reason behind it.
It’s probably because he wanted to be her guide
or, if he is/was also omniscient like Doc Scratch he could have known that she would need his power at some point.
