If we start taking everything from Homestuck literally (something I doubt Hussie intended us to do), we might as well assume that, based on the fact that Equius' trolltag is CentaursTesticle, hoofbeasts (and possibly other Trollian animals) reproduce the same way humans do, in which case it doesn't make sense for Trolls to be so confused by human biology and reproduction.

In response to all the Sollux/troll culture talk, I have a theory that doesn't have a whole lot of basis but might explain. Perhaps these things are part of troll sayings and we just see them translated into their english equivalents(since it's already being translated from Alternian to English, why not the sayings too?)

I put two really good facts about Jack in here several days ago with the sources, but they were never put up :(

Oh I’m pretty sure we still have one of those.

I deleted one because I’m not so sure that Jacks entire reason to go on a rampage was because of the silly dress but we still have the other one.

On Dave's pronunciation of "moirail" as "mwah rail", I figure he's reading it like a French word (think "trois"), and not from the Greek "moira" which it originates from (though, I'll admit, I do not know how "moira" is meant to be pronounced).

I’m still pretty sure he has absolutly no idea on how you’re actually supposed to pronounce it, though I understand that reasoning.

That's a great argument for the moirail pronunciation, but of all things i don't think dave would go out of his way to correct the pronunciation of a foreign word and be completely serious about it, it may be ironic. Everyone i talk to pronounces it moyrail.

Here are my thoughts, why would Dave know the proper way to pronounce an alien word? Why would said alien word’s pronunciation be based on a human language? WHY WOULD DAVE EVEN KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT FRENCH?
