When to Archive

I made this poll a while ago but I’ve gotten more followers since then so I figured I’d check in. Currently I’m only archiving up until about 2017, with most of it being from 2011 - 2013.

When to Archive

I made this poll a while ago but I’ve gotten more followers since then so I figured I’d check in. Currently I’m only archiving up until about 2017, with most of it being from 2011 - 2013.

What should be the archive stopping point?

When Homestuck did, 2016

What you’re currently doing, 2017

Before Beyond Canon starts, 2018

A rolling time gap, 5 years (currently 2018, next year 2019, etc)

A rolling time gap, more than 5 years (say in tags/replies)

This is starting to look pretty decided, so I might not wait the whole week to change what I’m doing. If anyone has any issues or any suggestions on how best to implement let me know (I’m considering having newer posts scheduled rather than just queued, but that might be too much effort to keep up consistently)

I updated the pinned with some links and more tags (I’m not sure which are easier to navigate if you’re trying to find specific posts)

I’m also replacing some tags to maybe make them more searchable? Like instead of a mix of “dave x bro” and “bro x dave” I’m going to have them all go in alphabetical order (so all “bro x dave”) (thank you xkit tag replacer). It’s not a perfect solution since I won’t remember every single ship pairing on here, but it will get the major ones, at least

So I may have lost some posts since I reached my post limit on main which meant anything queued still acted like it posted but instead went into the void, including on side blogs

Fortunately I do my best to like every post I queue for this blog, unfortunately I regularly shuffle and reorganize the queue so you’re not getting too many of the same ships back to back, so figuring out what missed being posted won’t be fun

I submitted a bug report to support and a very tiny naive part of me hopes there’s a way for me to get those queued posts back (since obviously this is not the only blog this happened to) but I seriously doubt that will be possible

Anyway

Just keeping you guys updated/venting/letting you know if you reach your post limit you need to pause your queues on all your blogs until it resets just in case

Okay unfortunately the queue ran out. I have a few drafts, but i think most of those are more recent stuff

I’ve also been trying to look places that aren’t super focused on stridercest, but that is the vast majority of what I’m coming across unless I hit a dersecest vein lol

Point being, I’ll try to work on filling up the queue over the holiday weekend, but it might be kinda sparse and/or more primarily stridercest than usual until I find another good way to dig
