combined with ‘scuttlebuggy’ in the comic, I’m pretty confident that scuttlevehicles are carts pulled by scuttling insects, since ‘buggy’ and ‘coach’ are both words used primarily for horse-drawn vehicles, and as far as we know, trolls use wheels for things, so to use the word ‘scuttle’ for a self-propelled vehicle doesn’t really make sense.
