As the scratch doctor, Doc Scratch has two main jobs; literally fixing the scratched second disc of Homestuck, and “fixing” the Scratch that separates Beforus from Alternia by smoothing over the planet’s history with his troll fanfiction.

What the hell? Looks like he’s had the disc repaired for a while already, but didn’t tell us. Motherfucker just loves the sound of his own voice.

But Scratch is actually telling his troll fanfiction while the disc is inside him being repaired; collapsing these two instances of “scratch doctoring” into the very same action.
