I guess a more current / relevant example of this Type of Guy would be the crowd who continue to insist that the Ultimate Self stuff doesn’t make any sense, or is yet to be explained, is unanswered in some way… when the Ultimate Self I think is probably one of the most fully realised, easy to understand parts of the whole Homestuck mythos. But it’s something that so inherently relies on philosophical thinking, rather than scientific thinking, so the people who approach Homestuck like a scientific experiment that can only be solved with objective facts and empirical evidence see it as this huge, insurmountable rock formation in their path
