when the Queen talks about the “roaring knight,” the homophony with “roaring night” struck me as intentional for some reason… Seam’s post-chapter 2 warning that we don’t want to be caught out at nighttime seems to reinforce this hunch.

“the Knight” as synonymous with “the night” makes sense given their role as bringer of darkness, and the dark worlds being essentially dreams… Kris’ transformation into the Knight after dark when they should be sleeping also fits.
