PUT THE BUNNY BACK IN THE BOX.

I SAID, PUT THE BUNNY BACK IN THE BOX.

WHY COULDN’T YOU PUT THE BUNNY BACK IN THE BOX?

right at the end of the credits there’s this bit where John’s reminiscing over his Dad and looking over various family memorabilia, and he hovers over this certificate of authenticity for the Con Air bunny for a second, which is weird, because Dave got him that bunny, not his Dad… but it’s right after looking at this certificate that Caliborn butts in.

the scene Caliborn is playing here is John Malkovich mocking the relationship between a father and child, which is part of why it gets a reaction, but the reappearance of the certificate of authenticity that accompanies the bunny’s first appearance seems like a reminder that There Is Only One Bunny the same way there is Only One Lord English and Only One Lil Cal, the Cal that shows up post-scratch being a fake the same way the bunnies post-scratch (like the one Caliborn is threatening to shoot) are fakes?
