since candy is drugs I wonder if it’s worth reexamining the whole glitch portion of the comic as a trip akin to the trickster sequence?
in a manner of speaking; but I think it’s more helpful to think of the very idea of a ‘narrative’ as a mass hallucination, in the sense that it dictates how the reader and/or characters perceive events without actually changing reality. by shoveling more meat or candy into the narrative, so to speak, one merely shifts the nature of the hallucination into a more saccharine or meaty direction
