• Sollux’ room being filled with dollhouse-like miniatures of his own hive recalls the Honeybee Professor’s interest in fractals and recursion… (obviously it’s a ‘beehouse’ instead of a 'beehive’ because on Alternia hive means house, but I wonder if it’s also supposed to deliberately evoke 'dollhouse’, which was another recursive element in Problem Sleuth)
• 'the trolls live inside their computers’ naturally makes the mind wander toward 'the trolls live inside the kids’ computers’, which naturally makes me wonder if the trolls’ living quarters are intended to evoke the computer setups of the humans in any way, though just at a glance i don’t think this is a line of interpretation that particularly leads anywhere
