I’m on record saying Aranea probably never lies outright when she’s delivering her worldbuilding, even when her ignorances and biases re: things like gender shine through, and I stand by that… but it is a little conspicuous that Aranea-as-Mindfang was a student of Doc Scratch, the master of fanfic, and is also basically our only source on almost everything about Alternia up to a certain point
