interesting point that came up in the wiki discord the other day; spades slick had a few hundred years wandering the desert of post apocalypse alternia to mellow out, which easily explains the gulf between his personality and that of “bec” noir, who started off as exactly the same person but has only been around for 3 years and a day.

i love how this is an unintentional echo of caliborn lol. bec noir is a toddler who is hellbent on destroying everything for destructions sake and was given cosmic power before he could grow out of that
and then you see slick and he’s a pillar of the community! to the extent of literally having created it!

but now I’m not so sure that similarity is strictly unintentional, given that caliborn himself is assigned the job of wandering the post-apocalyptic earth for a while and forced to be someone’s exile at the end of it all.

like the dead sessions is throwing everything it can at the prospective lord of time in the hopes of tempering the conqueror that comes out the other side
