the intention of that post was not necessarily to imply Scratch literally bombed Alternia. rather, I think the fact that dropping bombs, planting seeds and irradiating the landscape are all such potent symbols surrounding Scratch means that whether he “literally” dropped nukes on Alternia or not is irrelevant, because the end result is the same.

(this is basically the default position of the Storyteller-Character; if Scratch tells a story in which Alternia is nuked, does that make him the one personally dropping the bombs, or not? it ultimately makes no difference. bombs were dropped and it was his design.)
