lime-bloods:

so long as I’m selling the Beforans as direct reenactments of the ancestors, I guess it is odd that the Signless takes the supposedly “correct” position of advocating for Beforus where Kankri takes the “incorrect” position of trying to make it out to be a shithole. like what we’re being told is that the core personality of the “Ultimate Kankri” actually has nothing to do with justice at all; the thing driving Kankri forward is that no matter where he lives, no matter what privileges are thrust upon him, he’s never going to feel like he fits in. or even, perhaps, that the Seer of Blood’s power has nothing to do with seeing alternate truths, as we might have been led to believe, and everything to do with only being able to see suffering wherever you go?

I figure this is probably supposed to be in direct contrast to Karkat’s subsequent “ALTERNIA WAS FUCKING GREAT. / I DON’T EVEN CARE THAT MY BLOOD MADE ME A PARIAH”? possibly see also: Kankri having been executed and Karkat wanting nothing more to become an (thresh)executioner
