lines caught my eye… it’s a great gag on its own: jake lives with lusii, jane reads a webcomic with devil beasts in it. but it struck me as an odd inclusion just for the gag’s sake; beyond Jane’s shirt, which shows her appreciation for Problem Sleuth more than anything, we’re never given much of an indication that she is “pleased to contemplate frightening fauna”. it was common in earlier acts for characters to be introduced with interests that didn’t really pan out (John’s programming, Dave’s hipster music), but Act 6 is more tightly written than that.

but it’s surely another Act 6 allusion to Watchmen, in which the fakeness of the horrorterror was the only clue that it was all part of Ozymandias’ plan?
