dirk sleeps like a log, very rigid on his side, barely moving, he looks like he is always faking sleep and about to spring out of bed and whip out a weapon like a dude in an action movie
jake sprawls. arms and legs everywhere, moving around all the time, kicking off the covers, yanking them back on, when he wakes up in the morning it looks like an animal was struggling to get out of his bed
they usually sleep in different beds when one of them stays over, just because jake likes his privacy and wind-down time at night and dirk teaches himself to understand that it’s not about him. but sometimes they sleep together and somehow, magically, spooning makes these sleep problems align and they just lay together happily and sleep all night.
