MAY I PLEASE HAVE AN AU in which Karkat is a dance teacher and John a student

Though it wasn’t long ago that Karkat was a student himself and after something happens to him, he loses motivation to pursue the bigtime and instead gets offered a position to teach at a rather esteemed dance school. So enter John who isn’t all that driven but rather has a huge amount of excess talent and just coasts along.

Karkat can see the potential, and starts to really push John in particular so that he can become something great. And John resents it, sees it as being picked on, they end up having a real touch-and-go rivalry of sorts wherein John actually starts to apply himself.

Karkat might start keeping him late after class to drill him harder and then things shift from ~~super black~~ to a little bit red and then the rest is history
