:0! where did you get these inspirations from???? it reminds me a lot of thai folklore and the statues and images ive seen back at the temples
I was inspired by Hindu mythology, though some of these characters can be found in Buddhist and Thai mythology as well.
Top left and bottom right drawings were inspired by the golden kinnon(kinnaree) statues, mythical characters depicted as half-human,half-bird or half-human/half-horse creatures (though some of the statues look like they have lion paws and tails).
Top right are random mermaids. I wasn’t sure about drawing mermaids, because I could hardly find any mentions of them in Hindu mythology, but I came across some photos of temple statues and decided it was okay.
Bottom left supposed to be Garuda( legendary bird-like creature, sadly my drawing doesn’t do him justice OTL) fighting with a random naga man.
