Your drawings always look like you've had so much fun making them and that's what inspires me so much tbh ;-; Can you give some advice on the mental approach to art? I've been raised to strive for perfection in everything but it screwed me over in the end because now I hate almost all of my hobbies and never finish anything. You seem like the complete opposite of this and I aspire to be like you <3

Be ready to a lot of ramblings, haha.

Well, I understand the desire to make everything perfect but it’s really unreachable goal. It’s better to change it from “perfect“ to “the best as you can“ mentality. That way it’s less stressful and allow you to keep going on one step at a time. Being a good artist means always keep learning and evolving. Also you have to accept that there will be artists better than you and it’s perfectly fine. All people have different minds, circumstances and experiences. Different ways of perceiving and digesting information. Some people learn things faster than others so they will lvl up their skill quicker. But having great drawing skills isn’t the only thing that you need to be a great artist. You also should have great ideas so you need to be curious about how things around you works. Having other hobbies helps you to expand your knowledge in different areas. Nobody knows you better than you do, so you have to be honest with yourself and challenge yourself with stuff that you know you can do. Be reasonable with your pacing. Try new stuff. When you feel like you can’t draw anymore, give yourself some time off and watch a movie, play a game, go out with friends without feeling guilt or shame. Think of it as a time to recharge or gain some new insights or information that might come in handy in the future. Don’t think of the end goal, enjoy the journey. At least that what I’m trying to do myself :3
