First off, like. I don’t know why the tag thing isn’t working, but I’m sure tumblr’s privacy stuff has something to do with it, so sorry about the struggle there.
Second, it bears repeating: OH MY GOD. I love every single little detail about this piece, and I’m currently dropping a reminder to myself to link it when I update on Sunday. Holy fuck. I’m honored that my fic managed to inspire this masterpiece. Like, the lighting is so good, I love how it plays against John’s skin and Dirk’s hair and shirt, and even the reflection in John’s glasses is so well rendered, aaaaaaah! And Dirk’s little freckles! And their expressions!! The way John’s looking at Dirk, all adoring and open, and the way that the viewer gets to see Dirk’s eyes so we know he’s not Quite looking back? This honestly captures the mood of that scene so well from Dirk’s perspective, and you did an amazing job, thank you so much <33333
Oh my gosh thank you I look up to your writing so much,, like,, all these little gestures of affection Dirk thinks about later and can’t make sense of because of his upbringing?? The fondness in their banter and teasing??? And him opening up slowly in the newer chapters and watching mlp for the first time and being the dork he was always meant to be???? Your writing has slayed me and I look forward to every update >//////< And the lighting in this scene is just Dirk equating the emotional warmth he feels to actual physical warmth because he’s a poor fool xD

Basically, @arquiving and @spacehussy fuckign got to me again with their god tier writing skills on the hs RP server and I realised I’m big thirsty for Dirk in a dress and John being a flustered mess about it T_T
345k+ new cases of covid today in india!! in a single day!! twitter and instagram are our healthcare system rn!! we’re short on icu beds, oxygen cylinders, covid vaccines and drugs!! we have no slots in cremation grounds to respectfully do the last rites needed for our dead!! patients are dying outside hospitals because there are!! no!! beds!! patients are dying inside ambulances!! and the states that are claiming to have enough resources rn are on their way to have a shortage of the same!! healthcare workers are being stretched thin!! we’re all facing an acute mental health crisis rn!! meanwhile our central govt is doing too little too late!! after spending months doing election rallies and giving a green light to religious festivals (with millions of attendees) up until last week, they’ve finally decided to wake up and start paying attention to the covid crisis and it!! is!! not!! enough!!
