I’m pretty sure with the control ‘Commanding’ one’s aspect gives, you may already be able to do anything being a Lord or Muse. That being said, double headcanon: The Mix God Tier dies from a seizure because holy shit their robes are incoherently flashing constantly and it hurts.
do you think Breath has ties to Free-Will?
Right now, Mind (Choice) and Life (Agency) seem more tied, but with Breath’s Freedom and Personal Goals take, you could argue for a Free Will kind of meaning.
if Breath is represented by literal Wind then Blood should be represented by Earth?
That’s a fair association, specially because Breath is a more Free and Detached Aspect, compared to Blood which is more Grounded in actual attachment to other people and tangible bonds. However, you’re also thinking in Elemental Terms. Breath is Wind because Breathing moves the air, likewise Blood’s literal facet would be more actual Blood rather than Earth. In a way it fits too doesn’t it? Breath is physical, lung-filling breathing, while Blood takes on the more cell breathing sense, with oxygen being carried by Blood.
What aspect would you say is most closely related to ice and snow? I think breath fits most but I don’t know how. If I reach a bit it could also be space. If I reach further it could even be void. What do you think?
Breath because of the climate connotations works, as well as Space merely because it encompasses everything physical. If you want to get fancy though, you can even argue Light could be Snow and Ice because Water -> Light Refraction, and Rose’s Classic Element is Water. If you have a reason to link them together, you can likely link any Element to any Aspect. Doom maybe because Cold -> Heat Death of the Universe?

I have a theory that witches tend to create a "gamechanger" that echoes their aspect and that ends up leading the session to victory or gives a advantage. (Damara screwed with time to "doom" her session and require a scratch in all timelines ,leading to the beta trolls) Feferi made the dream bubbles and Jade's actions in the Cascade flash) So what do you think a Witch of Hope would do for their session?
Well, a Game ‘Changer’ is pretty much what Witches are, they Manipulate their Aspect after all. A Witch of Hope, though… Maybe they’d bring a Session back from the brink of being Doomed? Restoring lost Hope and fixing pretty much everything that’d gone wrong? It could be a huge amount of things really.

Thankfully for you we have a canonical answer to this! Since [S] Cascade actually has a countdown, we can assume that every second of Flash Animation is effectively one real second in the Homestuck World.
It takes John 8 minutes and 56 seconds to fully Scratch the Beat Mesa, so let’s say 9 minutes to Scratch the Construct. The next time we see the Scratch Construct is in the quick succession of images before the Countdown runs out, which is almost exactly one minute later. 9 minutes to make the Scratch, 10 minute for the Beat Mesa to ascend high enough that Skaia begins to receive the vast amounts of energy it creates, and finally, about 13 minutes and 14 seconds from the Beginning of the Scratch until it finally-

How do you think do players get classpected? Are they inherent to soul or are they something that Skaia asigns?
They’re inherent to people’s selves, to the point where even non-SBURB Players have shown to not only fit into specific Classpect Categories, but actually display basic powers of a God Tier without even being fated to Ascend in the future.
the all classes all aspects player either embodies entire paradox space or has their soul abomination collapse upon itself in the most ridiculous manner which becomes the begining and the end of a new "Homestuck". While their existence is the paradox itself of such power, that their existence, death, failure and success all become vital for reality's continued existence.
What if they just kind of hate themselves so much they Explode much like Tavrisprite, or just like Erisolsprite wants to do?
Lord of Void. That that weird one who is completely covered in clothes and sells waffles in the middle of literal nowhere is one of the most powerfull entities in padadox space that happened to kickstart the plot of your ridiculously convulted session chain. And you realise that you aren't even sure they sell waffles. Or that they have anything under the clothes. In fact, the only reason why you ever run into them is because you share their aspect. But waffles are real good.
I love the idea of a super powerful entity just kind of being a chill Waffles Salesman of dubious physicality.
Are players capable of learning what the Scratch does beforehand if they lack any outside forces to learn so, or is the intended purpose of the scratch to wipe out absolutely everything including the players and the beta kids just got lucky?
I’m pretty sure by the mere fact you need Echidna’s Quills or something equally as hard to even pierce the Scratch Construct, that you would get informed if not by NPCs of the Land and Lore of the Battlefield, just by like. Prospit Clouds or the Denizens themselves. Also remember that in SBURB there’s hardly any source of ‘Outside Information’, the Horrorterrors are pretty much the Dersite Equivalent of Dream Clouds, and given they were fated to meet together and end up in a weird Chimeric Session, even the Trolls interacting with the Kids is kind of not that ‘outside’ of the game.
What if a Heart player can affect someone's classpect. Like Witch changing say, Sylph of Rage to Maid of Mind. Or Thief consuming so much souls so that they are no longer a thief of heart but rather an amalgation of classpects.
… Huh. Altering someone’s Base Nature so much that they actually fit another Classpect better, I have no idea how Skaia would plan for this, if they would straight up give them the Classpect they’re going to change into eventually or if there could effectively be a Switch like that. I should point out though, Soul Amalgams like certain Sprites actually DO display a combination of Classpect Traits, think how Davepeta’s Shirt changes after fusing, it’s a mix of Time and Nepeta’s Dreamer Shirt (As she hadn’t ascended), thus indeed implying even Classpects merge when Souls merge, and mix with each other. So arguably, someone like Davepeta would be a Rogue of Time, a Rogue of Heart, a Knight of Time AND a Knight of Heart all at once.
Seer of Space being that one nerd that, kinda obsessively, maps out /everything/ old video games, new video games, how to get from school to the coffee stand and then home, their friends joke about them knowing how to get to fictional places or mythological lands, probably has a detailed globe of their land, as well as the lands of their teammates, Skaia, Prospit, and Derse, put together as soon as humanly possible, they just love maps man

I feel Doom (Technology) and Space would be more fitting for Math than Time (Music), really, but who knows. That being said, while we have Programmers and Nuclear Physicists, we don’t quite have anyone in Homestuck be a total Math Geek right?

You can use Math to determine stuff for both Time and Space. Actually for most things. I hereby decree Math to be the new, 13th, unofficial Aspect. Where’s that Anon that asked me if I thought there were more than the 14 Classes and 12 Aspects? :p
Heir of Heart then would turn into personality traits. Imagine when some facest of your personality unexpectedly manifesting in situation, in which you typicaly expose another one. And that is actually them. Traveling through the sea of your soul. On the other hand, they can help you with manifesting parts of your character that you had troubles with before. Like in case your anxiety and self-loathing prevents you from aknowleging what cool and brave person you are.
That’s kind of scary though, “Travelling through the sea of your Soul”, it’s already weird and dubious becoming a thought or poofing into wind, but the way you worded that makes that extremely strange.

a really friendly Heir of Blood finding out heirs can become their aspect, and they're thinking "Cool, I wonder what bonds incarnate looks like?" Because by this point, they don't think the aspect has anything to do with it's literal namesake, so they try it, and become a sentient puddle of blood, if they're into horror movies I can see them crawling onto bathroom mirrors and writing ominous stuff out, or pretending to be a demonic shopping list, and suddenly they can go just about everywhere

what do you think of the idea that a session with a knight is inherently low on the knight's aspect? Like how Dave's session was short on time, and Karkat's teammates, while friends weren't a completely tight-nit group and he had to scream at them as a friendleader to keep them from killing each other, ironically preventing a timeline where they all godtier
It seems to sort of follow a pattern but it’s hard to tell if it’s just coincidence or not.

Yeah, God Tiering IS becoming a God by itself, but there’s also specific power sets or transformations that are more deity-like than others. It also depends what the Hope is aimed towards, one can Believe in something Holy and Higher and Godly, but much like how Rage can be overthrowing a tyranny, Hope can also be blindly following a cult. So it depends.

I briefly touched upon the Mage of Light over here, but I should remind that the Know and the Change verbs are rather close together, and Mages, of both kinds of Seers, are rather good when it comes to using their powers to produce a Change based on what they’ve seen. Where Seers seem more aimed towards being Guides with their powers, Mages are more prone to taking matters into their own hands, and while ‘Know’ doesn’t sound too much like any sort of flashy power, Aspect Majyyks exist and Mages would definitely have cool Aspect Spells they can use.
Besides, how is Knowing your Fate, what’s Relevant to your Journey, and the most Lucky Outcomes a boring power?
how strong do you think a Lord of Rage is? also i'm a Muse of Light but people seem to think Lords are way way way stronger than Muses
Muses are on par with Lords, their only difference is the Active and Passive thing, but power-wise they’re both Master Classes for a reason. A Lord of Rage, though, sounds like an incredibly Chaotic and destructive being.
I should point that, while the whole Time Shenanigans and Already Here schtick is definitely Lord of Time stuff, with half of Gamzee, AR and Equius making up LE’s Soul, he could be considered not just a Lord of Time, but also potentially a Lord of Rage, a Lord of Heart, and a Lord of Void, which in a way fits him. Self-centred, able to Command others through his Soul possessing them with Cal as an intermediary, and with a good deal of his story focused on chasing a Soul in the effective Afterlife, a Lord of Heart. Deciding what timelines are Irrelevant and cease to exist as Time falls into place to benefit him, with the Core of his Being in the Furthest Ring, and able to destroy the Horrorterrors, a Lord of Void. Chaotic, Destructive, Powerful, guided by nearly blind Rage in an eternal Rampage, a Lord of Rage.
well there's also Latula's session, in which they had very few choices, either be stuck in their session forever and no one else plays SBURB again, or scratch and create a session in which the game will be won
Yeah, which is why I say they do follow a pattern, so you could definitely theorize that’s the case, but I also feel it downplays the friendships and bonds there actually are in the Beta Troll Session too.
Hi! I'd love to know more about a Seer of Breath! Power-wise and/or personality-wise!
Well first of all they would likely be able to gain Knowledge from their position as a protagonist, or likely learn about being a Hero. Knowing Freedom would likely work better as a Troll, sort of being in a really tyrannically oppressed society, knowing there’s something beyond that, having ideals and goals about detaching from this unjust society. Also Knowing Wind would indeed let them predict air currents and weather forecast stuff.
Now for the fun bits- Knowing the Plot would probably, inherently let them know they’re inside of some sort of narrative, or at least predict where the Plot is headed towards, no plot twists or surprises for them. And Knowing Motion? I could definitely see them being uncannily good at predicting the movements of their enemies, which would make them excel at Hand to Hand combat merely because they could block and avoid most blows, some kind of foresight.
On the topic of breath players, can I please find out more about Rogue of Breath? I know it's canon, but it was still not shown that much in the story! Thanks a lot in advance!

Can a life player turn ghosts alive again without the corpse like the ring of life or would that require more than one type aspect/class to do so
Arguably since it’s the Ring of LIFE they would be able to do something like that, but likely not all Classes. Not sure how it’d work in that regard, it’s already weird enough that Aranea gets a physical body just like that.
I figure a Sylph of Life would be the way to go when doing resurrection en masse, though we already know a Maid of Life can at least do one resurrection per person, Page of Life could work too since they're kinda like a generator of their aspect, I think, then there's also a Rogue of Life, just snatching life from another being and giving it to your buddy, I could go on but asks have a character limit
Yeah, with Life being related to, well, actual Life, you can sort of see how different Classes would work with different kinds of Resurrection. The Knight too, Serving Life to others and bringing them back and stuff! There’s a lot of possibilities. And also, Life Players aren’t the only ones able to Heal of course.
Okay. But. Silmarillion is a rather different work from Homestuck (in scope, what were they about and wordbuilding, and Tolkien was catholic) hovewer there were some interesting similarities. The main villain is a powerful being, that bound itself to medium in which the story proggressed (all matter in Arda and Alpha timeline in HS) to the point where only way to achieve victory against it is the destruction of medium. Destructive & tyranical entity that compromises free will of others.
Homestuck for all the shit some people give it, is an incredibly dense story with some extremely interesting topics. The fact Tolkien was catholic only adds similarities, though, Homestuck has a lot of symbology and thinks from various different religions and philosophical background, Gnosticism and Catholicism are referenced a bunch, as well as Egyptian and Greek Deities and Myths, so with that sort of Metaphysical Background, it only makes sense stories like that woulds hare similarities.
That being said I know 0 about Tolkien and his Work other than he was kind of a chill dude as far as I’ve heard, so yeah.
I realised only Gamzee and Kurloz have matching colours for both their blood colour and Rage colour schemes. It's as if Rage was destined to Capricorns or vice versa.
Hussie did mention that he tried to make the Aspects unrelated to the characters, except for Rage, which he made to look like a weird angry clown face because, it was just too fitting and fun not to do it like that.

How do the Giver classes work with the Heart Aspect? Outside of the whole romance sub-sect of the Heart Aspect, which is a bit easier to understand. (Make people fall in love with you, serving their hearts?) But how does one serve Identity or Soul?
Have you ever had someone expect you to act one way or another? Having set expectations about how you should be, and visibly imposing that way of being on you. Specially parents or tutors of some kind. That’s how you Serve Heart. As for the Soul Meaning, it may work as possession or creation of Soul Amalgams such as Sprites, Sprites Squared and Lord English.
Oh, since you have done how the Giver class works with Heart I recommend you make a little mini post on how they interact with other Aspects, if you do not mind
I prefer answering specific instances of Class and Aspect stuff rather than doing big overviews, and I will also come up with more stuff if asked to go more in depth about something, I feel it would kind of muddle individual questions, and at the same time, pave the way of me making a big post about every Classpect Combo and that’d be exhaaaausting all at once.
I just wanna say thank you for running this blog, because thanks to your hard work and dedication in unraveling the way classes interact with their aspects and stuff like that, I'm able to figure out how any class would interact with any aspect, and I've been able to answer a lot of my friends' questions about even the more existential aspects of Homestuck :3

We've seen low bloods and blue bloods with psionics. Can green bloods have it?
We’ve actually not seen Blue Bloods using Psionics! Psionics refers exclusively to the Yellowblood Psychic Powers, Aradia’s Telekinesis and Communion with the Dead, Tavros’ Animal Communion, and Vriska’s Mind Control are all different from Psionics and seemingly caste-related. Olives haven’t been shown to have powers, yet, but that’s not to say there aren’t Olives with unique abilities, and people were already speculating about Pyrokinesis because of this last Troll Call. (Not quite sure about that myself, but it’s a fun Theory)
So Trizza Tethis is a Blood player (I can't believe it took me this long to check). what would you say her class is based on the small amount of info we have so far?
It could really be anything right now, although I’m leaning more towards either a Make or Destroy Class at the moment.

Oooh, I like the idea of a Page of Time that’s just plain bad with Time Loops. They’re constantly Served Time Shenanigans and they just try to distance themselves from them because they can’t be arsed.

I mean, in a way it’s a good way to see things, but given Living Things are a requirement for any sort of Story and Action to take place, it’s also sort of redundant? Like, things could go differently, but it’s because of the Choices people make that it’s that way. Likewise, the base, fundamental value of something doesn’t matter if there’s no People to judge said value, which in turn does link Mind and Heart to the presence of People.
say Heart has to do with uniqueness: then a Witch of Heart could for say manipulate the traits of objects, like a sword swinging at them then all of a sudden it's dull and just leaves them with a bruise, which they could also technically deal with by manipulating the traits of the bruise such as the pain, swelling and mark
I do like the concept, though, as much as I don’t know if it’d actually work, given Properties of Objects tend to fall under the Space Realm.
If out of the humans playing sburb, two of them were brothers playing on seperate computers. would they be on the same land or end up on seperate land?
Technically, if they’re two different Players with two different Copies of the Game, and they’re in the same Server-Client Chain, then they should be in different Lands, however we have no precedent in canon to know exactly how this kind of Session would go.
Is it a doomed session or a null session if it just two players both with space and time aspects, frog temple and the forge? Does it become doomed if one of the players chooses to not end the session and destroys the genesis tadploe?
A Session with two Players, one Space and one Time, with the Frog Temple and the Forge, is neither Doomed nor Null by default, it sounds like a viable Session really. Null is if, regardless of what happens in the Session, it’s 100% Impossible to Win the Game. It would be Doomed if someone decided to fuck the Genesis Tadpole up, or do something bad, but otherwise, it’s a totally viable Session.
