December 2017

so all time player have the ability to time travel, so can all life players bring people back? or would the aspect consistency be something else?

Time Travel seems to be a basic enough ability, but bringing people back to life seems more complex than just the basic Life powers. As the Thief of Life, I wouldn’t quite see Meenah as someone who can just resurrect others, and same with the Prince of Life.

I imagine a Knight of Heart fighting like how Nen is used in Hunter x Hunter? or would that fall under Life?

I can’t quite tell, haven’t watched Hunter x Hunter yet and it’s a thing that’s been in my to-check list for the longest time, so no spoilers please!

Do you think the witch of heart could be especially dangerous? especially if they reach a very high part of their potential? I've seen heart players do some messed up things in the wrong hands

All God Tiers can be terrifyingly dangerous in the wrong hands, but Heart Players toy with the nature of Self itself. Changing someone’s Self, someone’s Soul, could lead to extreme conflicts within a group for sure.

Would an awakened heir of heart be able to do a mario oddessy thing where they can temporarily take over the form of someone else? Literally inheriting someones soul, individuality, everything that makes them who they are. I figured a theif of heart may also be able to do this as well, but i wanna know how you think about it

I’d imagine a Thief or Rogue of Heart to be able to pull off the Mario Odyssey thing much more easily than a Heir. If anything, a Heir’s ‘change’ would imply more Shapeshifting than Taking Over.

Could a breath player be able to start fires too, or at least keep them chugging because fire needs oxygen to thrive. If it is that they could only keep them chugging, consider: a doom and breath duo that just goes and fucks shit up

A Doom-Breath Duo could definitely do that. The Breath Player alone, starting Fires, I’m not quite sure, but DEFINITELY fanning them as well as extinguishing them, that’s like, part of John’s little inscription, remember?

They wait for he who would extinguish candles whilst fanning a fire

Breath IS Wind and Air after all, so all that has to do with wind blowing, Breath Players should be able to do.

If virska tried asking like a fairy like a Sylph or maid player even though she's a thief then what would a heir of light try to act like that's not his god teir role and also kinda related to heir of light what would a heir of light be like if they went grimdark/bark

There’s a big misconception here, Vriska doesn’t act like a Sylph because she’s a Thief and there’s a Thief-Sylph correlation that can be extrapolated into a Heir-Something correlation- She acts like a Sylph because she’s emulating Mindfang, shaping herself to her image, and as we know, Mindfang, Aranea, is a Sylph of Light.

And I still stand by the thought going Grimdark would make anyone the Void Aspect. A Heir of Void sounds like someone whose will would be kind of replaced by that of the Horrorterrors, Inheriting their fucked-upness and powerful dark Majyyks.

What would be the powers of a Page of Breath? (Tavros's classpect)

Through most of his story, Tavros Serves himself Detachment, he fantasizes and has some pretty hard to reach ideals, and wants to fly, while Vriska insistently tries to strengthen him to reach those goals, to make him a more integral part of the plot, a Hero, she’s Serving him Breath even to the point of seriously harming the poor thing.

But by the end, when he’s had enough of Vriska’s bullshit, he Detaches himself from her group completely flipping her off, before single-handedly doing the one thing no other Ghost in the Bubbles managed to accomplish- Bring together an insane amount of Trolls as an army to defeat Lord English. He doesn’t need to Mind Control others, as a Page taking charge, people are drawn to Serve him, to follow his goals and the plot. And so she gives the Army to Meenah, serving himself Detachment, not wanting to be the leader of so many people, Vriska gets served through Tavros’ intervention, owning her in a quite cathartic moment and doing silly dances, and finally butters Meenah up to become a Cavalreaper to the ‘Empress’, effectively serving his own desires from his Childhood.

It’s also very likely if he had Ascended properly, John’s Windy Thing would pale in comparison to what Tavros could bring to the table, rather than manipulating Wind, Wind itself would serve his needs, weaponized, wielded. Which is insane to think, really- John, a Passive, Manipulation class can create a storm the size of a planet, what the hell can a Page or a Prince of Breath do with their Wind?!

Dunno if you remember jack shit about the intermission, but do you think that a seer of time would be able to see and interact with something like past/future trails?

I wanted to post that one edit of the Griffin ‘I don’t know anything about this meme and at this point I’m too afraid to ask’, that had his eyes lighting up and it said ‘I remember ALL of Homestuck’, but I couldn’t find it so instead you get me explaining the joke.

Past/Future Trails though, definitely sounds Seer of Time-y enough. Not sure about /interacting/ with them, well- I mean they could technically warp back in time to interact with them at that point, but other than that I’m not sure.

Could a Sylph of Mind or Heart cure grimdarkness by healing away the horrorterror's influence on them?

I honestly think a Thief/Rogue or Bard/Prince of Void may work better for that, getting rid of the Voidiness rather than healing their original self. But it’s a possibility. Heart more than Mind, I’d feel.

what's the most dangerous god tier in the wrong hands in your opinion?

I’ve actually already answered this, it heavily depends on what the context is with the Aspects, and the easy answer would be a Lord of X, but when it comes to the Standard Classes, a Page or Prince seem the most likely.

Horrifying God Tier Thoughts: Prince of Blood doing the little human explosion things in Naruto during the Ketsuryagan part

I actually have only read the manga and haven’t seen that anime arc whoops.

Terrifying God Tier Thoughts: Rogue of Light redirecting light beams into a person's eyes, effectively blinding them (may also fall under a Prince of Light)

Ouch. I like thinking with Lasers when it comes to Light Players though. I mean redirecting light beams into people’s eyes as a power by itself doesn’t sound too Roguish, BUT the end result is effectively stealing someone’s sight away, which definitely works.

Terrifying God Tier Thoughts: Heir of Mind passively affecting everyone so all decisions they make are for the benefit of the Heir

Inheriting them choices bois. Hmm, I would see it more as a, like… Gentler thing though’ It’s Change after all, so maybe people just passively kind of. Accomodate the Heir because they need extra help.

How would an Heir of Life be protected by Life? and also if Heirs can be literally be protected by their aspect then are aspects conscious things?

Heirs aren’t necessarily Protected by their Aspects, but Aspects do seem to have a Will of their own at times. That being said if you want a Heir of Life’s body to Change like John’s does when he poofs away, I would imagine either their body being more plant-like, or having regenerative abilities perhaps?

Can Rogue's also steal for themselves or is it only for others? :/

You could maybe make a case for it, but I personally think it may not quite work- After all stealing from yourself to give to others is basically the same as Serving, isn’t it?

Hey, do you think a Thief/Rogue of Time could steal someone's time? As in, make them rapidly age into their senior years?

Hmmmm, maybe a Thief/Rogue of Life would work for that as well, but I don’t see why not, yeah!

How would an Heir of Time's body change? and maybe the other Heirs too while you're at it

Time is too abstract of a concept, I feel there could be a lot of ways things could go, maybe just happening to always be a Doomed Version and a new Alpha popping from somewhere else? And as I’ve said in the past, I’m not even sure every Heir has to have an analogue to the wind poofing John has. I already kind of talked in the past about Heirs changing themselves though didn’t I?

Alright, sorry if this is a silly question, but would the ability to force decisions on another (Like influencing someone to off themselves when they are too hesitant to turn god-tier to be of better use to the player) be Destruction, or Creation? (Would it be selfish or for the good of the team?)

Selfish or Selfless, it’s impossible to tell without context. They may want the other to off themselves because they personally going God Tier and achieving power is what everyone should strive for and is forcing them to do so, or they may want them to Power themselves up to survive what comes next and have powers so that they can be safer, the act isn’t what makes it Selfish or Selfless, it’s the Reason.

As for what the ability to force decisions like that would be? I actually think it would be neither, I would bet more for either Serving a Choice/Stealing their Choice, or even Changing their Choice.

You said a heir of heart can shape shift? Imagine one who will just turn into peoples s/o so they can get with everyone they want. Not really as terrifying as some of the other stuff here, like exploding your lungs, but i would for sure not like that.

I mean that’s pretty messed up too, you know? That sounds more Selfish though, perhaps a Witch would do that more than a Heir. But yeah, Shapeshift could definitely be a thing Heirs/Witches do with certain Aspects and under certain circumstances. Thinking it that way, isn’t John’s windy poofing technically just shapeshifting into air?

Seer of heart being able to see everyones true selves could lie to others about who people really are and have people easily believe them, because theyre the seer of heart. This could absolutely destroy a session. But for a more hands on approach they could see your true motivations and passions and use those against you, bringing up your deepest insecurities in battle to make you weaker.

Indeed, but we actually see something like this- Meulin is said to be able to tell what relationships would work together and gives good advice when it comes to shipping- But as we see with Horuss, where she tries to emulate the Meowrails and pretty much imposes herself on him and makes him look cute so she can tag along, she can be quite selfish and force people to do things just for the looks, while selling it as real Shipping advice.

Silly God Tier Thought: A Heir of Life just being done with everyone and everything and shape-shifting into a tree.

Now THIS is the kind of content I like.

more silly god tier thoughts! an heir or witch of light punctuating a scary story by making the lights in the house flicker, or bending the light to make a mirage of the scary thing from the story

Yes, yes good that’s the kind of use a bunch of Teenage Gods would give to their amazing powers.

Where did LE get his Cario Overcoat? I don't think it's ever shown anywhere, or did I miss something?

It’s never explicitly been stated, with the way it holds the same shine as his Immortality Power, its ties to Time and the way it works as LE’s device to travel through time, you could say it’s just his Time associated item, like Dave’s Time Tables and Aradia’s Music Boxes. The first instance we see it in Caliborn’s Timeline, it’s literally just the coat he draws his OC with, so it’s possible Stitch actually made it from scratch for him based on the design.

However, a popular theory is that Vriska’s Pirate Coat was a component in alchemizing it, since we see Kurloz take it for absolutely no discernible reason around here:

http://www.mspaintadventures.com/?s=6&p=007966

Could a post-scratch time player with enough mastery of their abilities be able to go back to before the scratch happened or send items back to prevent doomed timelines?

Nope, because the Scratch isn’t JUST Time. It’s Time and Space. Trying to go back before the Scratch through Time Travel would be just as futile as trying to go back to the Troll Universe by going back in time in the Human Universe. The Scratch erases the Pre-Scratch Iteration of the Universe and everything that’s within, to replace it with a new one. You would need dedicated machinery to reach a point prior to the Scratch that’s contemporary to yours- which there actually is in the Frog Temple. But God-Tier-wise? You would need both Time and Space to make it work.

Hey, remember how Jane had her giant red CrockerFork, with a tiny Skaia on the other end? And how we know its not just decoration, bc when the thing fell into Jade's rapidly forming pool of Lava on her planet, it started to suck that noise in and it wreaked shit all over actual, real Skaia? Was it ever explained how she got that to be an aspect of her weapon? I mean obviously, it was through Alechemy, but like, how? Nobody in her session should have had abilities or tech to make that possible.

I mean, we just see the lava dripping from the Clouds. Skaia’s visions can be extremely real, as we see near the beginning, Bec Emerging from the Lava pit, Jade was pretty much in a sort of simulation of, what’s it, 413 million years ago? So it could just be ‘fake lava’ dripping from the clouds and into other clouds.

That being said, though, if it was really like that, the way Jane’s Fork looks makes it pretty obvious that she alchemized her Fork with one of the Kings’ Sceptres. She had a white one with Skaia prior to getting Crockerified, right? And then further Alchemized that with Crocker Tech (Or maybe Crocker Tech took over it on its own?). Either way, if the Lava was really leaking into it, it both implies that the Staffs’ representation of Skaia is an actual gateway to Skaia, which could make for some cool Fan Sessions, and also that you can actually effortlessly combine items like the Staff or the Rings with other things on the Alchemiter.

Hell, we see two Jujus being Alchemized, so technically speaking you could mix something with the UrobUros codes, not to say that in Hiveswap we see a Juju being built piece by piece. Seems that as long as you have a code for it, the Alchemiter really doesn’t put any restrictions on what you can make and mix together. Supposedly, though, Jane had a much easier time getting her hands on the staff because the Battlefield in her Session had blown up and the King never became anything other than a giant chess piece, so the White Queen had his staff and it was easily accessible because, the White Queen is chill.

i was thinking a lot last night about Rogues because people mainly say they're support and that's it but I saw a comparison between Rogues and Thiefs and batteries and I realized something. A Thief is like a battery which stores its aspect for its own benefit while a Rogue is like a battery but redirects its aspect for other uses, Rogues don't always have to give to people they just have to redirect their aspect back into the world (1/2)

That’s of course high speculation but it made me feel better about my classpect (Rogue of Space) when I realized that I could essentially have a nuclear warhead dropped on me and “steal” all the energy and force from the explosion for later use and redirect that explosion at an enemy (that could be considered giving them my aspect). Correct me if I’m wrong it’s just that I could see the Rogue and Thief being the passive and active absorbing classes (2/2)

See, here’s a thing about Active and Passive Classes- Even for the most Active and most Passive Classes, the most inflexible of them, we see them both making direct use of their powers and also allowing them through them. The Active/Passive difference implies what they’re most comfortable doing or what they have an easier doing, as well as, generally, whether their powers are more for their personal gain, or for some other purpose other than themselves.

As such, both a Thief and a Rogue may be able to steal the energy of a Nucelar Blast to use it later or benefit themselves or redirect it, depending on the context, and with different amounts of effort. As a Rogue, you could definitely use the stolen energy of a Nuke to radioactively empower yourself and your team, just the same as you could redirect the blast to destroy an enemy you’re having troubles with. But similarly, a Thief could use the stolen energy of a Nuke to give themselves a major energy buff, or redirect it in the same way as an offensive attack. Redirecting it ‘allows’ the blast to pass through them, while buffing directly ‘distributes’ their Aspect, both Passive and Active, both things you could make a case for. You could even switch it around though- Saying redirecting it is making direct use of the blast for yourself, and buffing is passively allowing the energy to empower someone. How you use your powers and what you can do with them being Active or Passive is highly determined by the context and your general goals. Something Passive to some may be Active to others, and even to the same person, in different situations, they may flip between one and the other. It’s this kind of thing that makes Classpects so incredibly nebulous to analyze, but also what makes them so /versatile/ that you can fit pretty much any power you can fathom into them and still have room to spare. If you THINK a Classpect may be able to do something, chances are it CAN do it.

Sorry if you've already answered a question like this, but in terms of the rage aspect what kind of themes do you think would be likely to link to it in terms of player planets? There's of course clown imagery but is there anything else that springs up?

Anarchy and Confusion seem two main themes of the Rage Aspect, so anything you can imagine as Weird, Nonsensical, as well as Violence, Breaking down of the Social Order, Riots and such could be interesting themes for a Rage-themed Land! The ‘Sign of the X’ thing in the new Extended Zodiac also has some good ideas for Rage-related nouns, it seems they associate Rage with Storms quite a bit too.

Kind of a weird question, but did people seriously think Gamzee had reached God tier in the past? I came into Homestuck pretty late.

For the longest time it was hard to tell if Gamzee had reached God Tier or not. He showed no signs of having ascended, but he was notoriously difficult to kill and did some things that made no sense, and Karkat himself expresses confusion about his God Tierhood at some point I believe. Then we saw him with a God Tier Outfit in the Alpha Session and everyone was like “WHAT?!”. But then we saw Kurloz getting him the Codpiece, and Caliborn shoot off his wings, confirming that he did in fact not Ascend, he’s just a moron in a silly outfit.

So yeah, until those wings came off, there were both theories about Gamzee being God Tier, and Gamzee faking his God Tierhood.

Do you have any ideas, or at least educated guesses, about how the troll's were mixed ectobiologically speaking? If that makes sense.

We are never told specifically, however there’s minor proof that points to the possibility of Karkat’s Group (Beta Trolls) being hatched first as the Originals, with Kankri’s Group (Alpha Trolls) being the re-combination.

image

First of all, in this scene we have the Beta Trolls being made first- Implying that the Alphas were the subsequent re-combination, and as such, their spawn. Furthermore, however, there’s this panel.

http://www.mspaintadventures.com/?s=6&p=005370

You wish you never pushed those buttons and hatched your team out of all this goddamn slime. You are no ectobiologist. If only there was some other title more befitting of the true discipline you practice, and the death sentence given to whatever you do the disservice of creating. You can’t think of one though.

And what about the OTHER twelve wigglers you spawned? Who were they? Probably further proof this was all meaningless and random. Could it be that they were the true heroes meant to be sent back to play this game, while your team was the superfluous crop? Could a mistake have been made during the reckoning?

This seems to further confirm the order was, indeed, first the Betas (As Clones of Themselves), and then the Alphas (As made from a recombination of their genes). Curiously enough, Karkat IS sort of right in this instance- There was something that happened during the Reckoning, and that is that the energies of the Scratch ensured they were the Heroes rather than have the Alphas become Players at all, erasing their Timeline. They’re not the rejects. They’re the hope the Alphas gave everything up for.

Silly God Tier Thoughts: A Prince of Hope making action movies more intense by making their friends believe all hope is lost for the hero

Pfffft, that’s an amazingly silly way to abuse one’s Princey Powers.

What do you think of a Mage using its knowledge of their aspect to manipulate said aspect?

That’s pretty much how it works. Know and Change are very closely related verbs.

What do you think all the verbs are for the different classes (ex. Mage and Seer are learn)

That’s in the Class Descriptions I made for my Quiz! They also coincide with @revolutionaryduelist‘s interpretation.

Maid/Sylph - Make

Page/Knight - Serve

Mage/Seer - Know

Witch/Heir - Change

Thief/Rogue - Steal

Prince/Bard - Destroy

Lord/Muse - Command

In terms of player planets, would the themes of the planet generally be things the player struggles with to accept/work with or such? Or is it possible for the planet to be someplace the player can enjoy being in? On that note would it be possible for a rage players planet to be someplace they enjoy being in that is fundamentally flawed and thus needs to be broken down to allow them to grow and continue their session?

Some Lands seem specifically designed to mess with the Players and push them out of their Comfort Zone, but then you also have something like Nepeta’s Land, which doesn’t seem specifically challenging towards her. It all comes down to their Quests, however, Lands and Quests seem to be designed, not to specifically push Players through something they Struggle with, but as an attempt to hone their skills and positive traits. For example, Rose’s Land seemed designed to make her step out of her grim comfort zone and just kind of become invested in a colorful and bright world- Which fails tremendously as she’s, if anything, spited by this. Dave on the other hand is directly and rather aggressively attacked with triggers of his- Metallic noises, an endless sea of Red, the searing heat, it’s like an amplification of everything that tortured him back on Earth. And then you have Jade, who is PHYSICALLY cast out of her comfort zone, not because she doesn’t enjoy her Land but because she literally has no warm clothes and needs to alchemize stuff to get around- Once that hurdle is crossed, I don’t think Jade had any issues with her Land.

So as I said, it depends on what the Game expects out of each Player and what said Players think of themselves and their Quests- The Quests aren’t even an assured way to make them Grow, nor the only way they can grow as people either, as we see with Rose. So as for your Rage Player? Yeah it may be a flawed place they enjoy. They may also ignore their Quest and keep enjoying it, or find a way to grow beyond their toxic behavior without the need of a Quest.

Wasn't it mentioned in homestuck that "alpha" represents players that are clones of themselves and beta as their ecto-children, while the pre and post scratch troll session was glitched - normal arrange of beta -> scratch -> alpha being swapped to alpha -> scratch -> beta. (with beta to alpha scratch being unnecessary as ectolabs seemingly being "beta"-exclusive, while alpha to beta would essentialy force players to scratch) I might be wrrong tho

I don’t quite remember the ‘Alpha’ and ‘Beta’ equivalency having been applied to the words Alpha and Beta rather than just the example of the Alpha and Beta Humans. Hell was SGRUB even a Beta? It was the compilation of the code by Sollux, I don’t think they referred to it as a ‘Beta’ did they? Rather, Beta and Alpha have just become words to differentiate between Groups of Players from the Same but Scratched Universes. I may be wrong though, if they do call SGRUB ‘Beta’ for the Trolls or ‘Alpha’ for the Ancestors at any point, or if they mention the Cloning stuff, it’s not something I quite recall.

Scary gt thought: Looking at the mirror only to realise that the person you are looking at isn't you. You are a Thief of Heart and you were that someone else for a while without them even knowing.

How about having your Self been stolen and swapped with someone else by a Rogue of Heart, but being unable to voice what’s happened without sounding like a total maniac?

Scary god tier thoughts. A Muse of Hope trying to create an utopia where everyone is happy. By having everyone consumed by belief in ideology that muse has themselves. You know. For greater Good one must sacrifice capability to question things or other ragey (VERY BAD) stuff.

Yeeep. ‘Selfless’ doesn’t mean ‘Good’, nor does ‘Focused on others rather than yourself’. Gamzee is incredibly selfless, he does everything for the sake of Lord English, technically all he does is try to help him! So when people mention Muses being unable to be bad or something like that, it’s like. Sometimes the ‘Greater Good’ isn’t what’s better for anyone else.

Aspect Intrrogations: Maid of Void carefully obscuring their own revelance and revelance of the information you have so that you will get careless enough to spill it during a small talk. Or torturing through selective sensory deprivation.

Extra pun because being ‘Made of Void’ would definitely let them render themselves seemingly irrelevant or nonexistent for their plan to work.

How do I pick between a Rogue and a Maid?

Rogues and Maids are quite different, I don’t know, if the personality of either doesn’t resonate with you, you may just wanna go with your power preference or if you prefer Aradia over Roxy?

So, I got to thinking about what you mentioned earlier, what with how if you can produce a captcha code for something, theoretically you should be able to make it interact with the Alchemiter and make something new, right? So like, John eventually holds the Tumor and even all of Earth in his Wallet Modus / Vriska's 8BallWallet combo Modus. So technically, that should be able to produce a captcha code for them, right? So one could technically do alchemy with an entire planet, right? (1/3)

This could obviously lead to lots of weird and highly expensive alchemy shenanigans, right? Like, combining LoLaR and LoWaS? Maybe in the process making a sort of, Land of Wind and Rain, or Land of Light and Shade? Maybe you could also make like, a bunch of duplicate Land planets, maybe Prospit’s and Derse’s as well, with the purpose of acting as backup versions incase somebody’s entire place gets destroyed. Theoretically of course, if any of this would even be possible or affordable. (2/3)

At least not without some kinda, shrink then grow later bypass the system nonsense. Then maybe like, you could even make your own, fully custom planets/Lands? Which of course just makes me wanna be like Dave and make like, 50 Land’s of Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff, filled to the brim with shitty jpeg consorts, each with their own Geromysprite, and all kinds of stupid noise like that, and try to create a new session with that junk. God, what a beautiful god damn mess that would be. Thoughts? (3/3)

Well, the game’s reward is that you’re basically the GODS of the new Reality you create, it sounds like being able to create your own Worlds and combine them around would definitely be a thing it would allow! Prior to winning the game, though, I’m assuming this kind of thing to cost a shit ton of Grist. Also about shrinking and growing, remember you can also add upgrades onto your Alchemiter that instantly adjust the size and cost of things if you wanted, so that could definitely be a thing to mess around with Planet Alchemy at a lower cost.

I think oathes and pledges can be cathegorised as doom (mixed with blood in some cases). While oathes seem to be just blood + doom (with oath of allegiance being the most bloody sort of oath)

I can see the ties to Blood, but Doom? I see oathes and pledges intrinsically more as Hope than Doom, but that may just be me.

Prince/Bard of Breath as the hunter. Who captures things. It might be birds. Butterflies. Runaway or lost pets. People who tried to get away wrom debts by fleeing. Runaway criminals. Or, in a much more villainous case, former slaves who ran away.

Destroying Freedom, I see what you did there. Could work as a Thief or Rogue as well.

Didn't think about hope ties. Can you share a bit more about that? As for Doom, I think, it is mostly tied to the view on such things as connected to fate, as a restiction, an obligation and duty. Geas, in particular, are notable for bringing a great doom upon the one who violates it.

Ah, given Life’s ties to Agency, Doom as the restriction of Agency definitely ties into the theme! Fate could also tie them to Light, however. Hope though, I feel one pledges allegiance or makes an oath for something they believe in, there’s a sense of expectations one must accomplish a testament you believe yourself capable to undertake on these expectations.

Do you have any ideas, or at least educated guesses, about how the troll's were mixed ectobiologically speaking? If that makes sense.

Isn’t Karkat an Alpha? The first of the two universes is the Beta side, with the recombinant players.

The weird part is…the second universe doesn’t even get to “happen” unless the first one fails, which means in a successful Beta session, you’d also have to do the ectobiology. Having it happen in the Alpha session, like with Karkat, REQUIRES the Beta session to fail, otherwise none of them would exist in the first place. But John was a Beta kid who did ectobiology, and they still had to scratch their session.

The Dancestors’ Session is special because it’s Glitched, the fact they needed to do the Scratch to even is a Glitch designed as a calling card to get LE into the Universe, but not much else is explained about this.

As for the Alpha-Beta thing, it’s kind of ambiguous? Calliope refers to their incredibly convoluted Session Chain as ‘From Alpha to Beta, and Beta to Alpha’, Vriska mentions Aranea as her ‘Alpha Sister’, and there’s a few other mentions of Dancestors as the ‘Alphas’. However this may be a reference to them being the ones that went ‘first’ technically, and thus ‘Alpha’ as ‘Original’, rather than Alpha as Alpha and Beta. You could make a similar case to the Dancestors being Beta and Karkat’s Group the Alphas, so I kind of stick with the idea of Karkat’s Group being Betas and Meenah’s the Alphas, to avoid switching around or leaving it ambiguous and confusing.

And yet, John and co are Betas, while their ectoparents are alphas. So it's weird.

Well, they are because their games are literally SBURB Beta and SBURB Alpha, this doesn’t need to be true of every Universe because not every Universe has the Game distributed as a Game by a Company, nor released as a Beta/Alpha.

What would a maid of doom do?

Made of Doom, sounds like they’d be a complete Disaster! They could be quite good with high tech, perhaps quite handy with Doomsday Devices as well? Making things that bring Doom to People, Technology and Codes sort of like Sollux does? They may also be able to Curse or Doom people as if they were not Alpha and pretty much Fate them to die. Bringing pain and the end to those they want to take down…

can i ask what a maid of blood would do? i have a few ideas but i want a second opinion, i'm trying to figure out if im the maid of heir and im p sure im the maid?

Made of Blood I could see them getting along with everyone quite well. Improving, Strengthening Bonds, they’d be an essential person to keep everyone in check and keep the group together! They may also heal physical wounds, as well as do Blood Transfusion and perhaps even ‘improvements’ to one’s caste by changing the hue. Likely to manipulate Blood in itself as well, ‘Making Blood’ kind of reminds me of the Brimstone Laser from BoI.

Hey, im sorry if this has been asked before, but do you know if space players can be dersites/vice versa, or is that fanon?

Up until now, this was just Fanon and we had no confirmation if they could be Dersites or not (Although to be fair, I had never even considered that they couldn’t be Dersites, like, I didn’t see why they couldn’t be). The Extended Zodiac, however, proves that any Aspect Player can be a Dreamer of either Moon, and any Caste can dream in any Moon and be bound to any Aspect. No restrictions.

Which God Tier do you think is most likely to go grimdark?

A Thief of Void maybe? A Witch/Heir of Void too.

So with the humans, each of them is essentially the same as a player or as a guardian, save for differences relating to their changed circumstances (The reasons why Rose and Dave's works exist for example) but some of the Ancestors compared to the A1 Trolls seem too different, though that may be subjective on my part. Any idea why this is or is it me seeing differences that aren't really there? Beyond the parodying of fanfic tropes I mean.

You’re definitely not imagining things! See, even though they’re put through rather awful circumstances- John and Jade being raised by the Condesce, Dave and Rose opposing a Fascist Tyranny, you can definitely see their similarities more clearly than those of the Dancestors and the Ancestors.

However? You have to consider that Alternia is being maliciously influenced by Doc Scratch to pave the way for Lord English’ Arrival. The Guardians and the Kids differ because of their life experiences, but the Culture of Alternia and Beforus, compared to that of Pre-Scratch Earth and Post-Scratch Earth, are completely different. They’re basically polar opposites, in fact.

For this reason, you get rather extreme divergences between characters, and yet you can STILL see them.

Young Handmaid and Damara post-snapping are quite similar, and you could attribute her more meek attitude pre-snap to the coddling for being a Rustblood (Not to say, as ‘meek’ as she may have been, Rufioh always mentions her to have been quite the Jealous one).

All Rufioh wanted was to detach himself from the society that wanted to coddle him for being a lowblood and kind of live his life as he wanted it. On Beforus, he found the Lost Weeaboos and became Anime Peter Pan, but Alternia’s society was oppressive in a violent and aggressive way- Giving him drive to use this need to escape the clutches of society to lead a rebellion.

We don’t know much of Mituna pre-Accident, but we do know he was a very powerful Psychic and rather heroically burnt his mind out to protect his friends, and the Psiionic, likewise, was a powerful Psychic that joined the Rebellion.

The Sufferer Sees the more peaceful life in Beforus, and strives to try and bring ideals of good and peace to Alternia. Kankri, however, lives in this more ideal society, and becomes obsessed with trying to better it, by obsessively focusing on minor things that literally affect to no one while missing some actual issues. Both have similar goals, but the Sufferer is, you know, actually GOOD with pin pointing the problems of society and inspiring others.

The Disciple obsessed over the Sufferer and his Teachings, she was drawn to a strong set of ideals and hyperfocused on it. Meulin, similarly, was drawn to Kurloz and is influenced, not by the good ideals of someone, but by the bad ideals of the Juggalo Cult. Additionally, the way Disciple’s relationship transcended Quadrants ties in with Meulin’s own love of shipping and relationships.

Porrim is a badass feminist that dislikes the spot Society has prepared for her, and rebels against it and the underlying patriarchy of Beforus. Dolorosa, similarly, breaks away from societal conventions just to protect the Sufferer, and joining his ideals of rebelling to make the world a better place.

I could go on, but this is dragging a bit too long.

do you think trolls would have blood color variations depending on the troll? like, if you looked at the blood of two rust-bloods, would one be slightly more saturated and the other one slightly darker?

So far that doesn’t seem to be the case, but there’s nothing preventing that from being the case to be honest. Additionally, even with the same Blood Colors, some Trolls type in shades different to their Blood tone, so there’s that too.
