Hey uhhhh long time listener first time caller, can I get some help with figuring out the kinda stuff a Seer of Heart could do?
Hey there! Well I’ve actually already talked about the Seer of Heart! In conjunction with the Mage, but:
Hey there! Well I’ve actually already talked about the Seer of Heart! In conjunction with the Mage, but:
It’s hard to say if the Ghosts in the Bubbles are the true ‘Souls’ or perhaps a ‘copy’ of sorts, but the Dream Bubbles are NOT the True Afterlife of Homestuck. If there’s something like an Afterlife, we have never seen it- After all, Feferi is the one that makes the Horrorterrors blow the Bubbles for them. It’s also dubious if Lord English’ Ghost Killing means they go to the True Afterlife, if there’s one, or if he’s annihilating the Soul completely and leaving Nothing behind, absolute and complete oblivion.
It should be noted that Ghosts do exist outside of the Bubbles- Aradia and the spirits of other Dead Trolls on Alternia seem to be bound to the earthly plane, so either there is no Afterlife and they just remain haunting the world, or those specific Trolls didn’t pass on to the Afterlife because they had unfinished business as is usual with Ghost Stories.
Then that would imply Memories are coded in the DNA itself. Since it’s what Ectobiology does, take the DNA into a goopy mess.
They’re sort of God-like. So it’s possible they just have generally All-Aspects powers.
Yeah, I don’t think so either but, it was still an interesting concept.
Nope, the Blood symbol itself is darker, and the God Tier robes use dark reds and browns.
In all likelihood.
The Horrorterrors are just a force of Paradox Space much like Skaia is. It’d bet he same as asking ‘Where did SBURB come from?’, it’s just part of Paradox Space, Elder Deities hovering the outskirts of the Universe.
As for the Dream Bubbles, there are multiple reasons but, well, think that Karkat’s group spent a few weeks and there were 1000 Aradiabots, and the Dancestors spent years in the Session. The Betas were in their Session for 1 single day, and the Alphas had to spend nearly half a year, but said half year was incredibly uneventful. Not many points where a Timeline can split when you spend so little time and there’s not much to do.
Maid and Sylph for sure, Page we’ve seen it in Canon as well. Technically with enough of a reacharound most Classpects should be able to ‘Create’ things, even if just by stretching the definition of their powers, or with specific Aspects.
I feel you’re coming to a lot of conclusions, as I’ve argued before, I’m not sure about the validity of ‘Knights’ Aspect is what the Session Lacks’, and I’m even less sure about the need of a Knight for a successful Session. The only canon mention I remember about requisites is a Time and Space Player, and after arguing with some friends, it seems that the Time Players are only necessary to fix misshaps and tie Time Loops together so you could argue in some cases you may not even need Time.
Honestly it may be more of a Seer/Mage thing if it’s focused on Knowing what divergences like those would be like, rather than making them Happen. Also I maaaay not really check it or check it in a long while, I’m slow when it comes to watching videos and stuff, specially if they’re more Podcast-y.
I think you mean Light, not Hope, Light is what’s usually associated with Omniscience. Full Omniscience, though, it’s hard to tell what Class, if any, would have it. I mean look at Doc Scratch, he’s the most Omniscient Being we know and he still has dark pockets in his foresight.
And while the Space outfit is Black with a White Symbol, Space Powers are generally bright Green- Like Calliope. The Red-Green Duality is pretty huge in Homestuck.
I mean, Caliborn needed to be Defeated in order to START his destructive rampage post-Masterpiece, so in the end it kind of worked out for him. We all just believed hard enough that Hope was the strongest, and this is the result! :p
That’s a way to see it, I can’t say it’s 100% accurate but it’s definitely a way to see it.
Sylph of Life would be the absolute Ultimate! They’d Heal Life and Improve Life and Make Life, we actually see this with Jane- Her powers are extremely healing-based, and she’s the only Character we see able to RESURRECT People, even if just once. She resurrected herself, she resurrected the plants of half of her planet in Trickster Mode with a single jump… Of course, Sylphs aren’t Maids, but the basis of Creating Life and Creating Through Life is there.
Which doesn’t mean they wouldn’t have any offensive powers, if they Improve Biology they may be able to help overcome human limits and just get super strong or something like that. Improving and Making Agency would make them a really big help in ensuring everyone can do what they want. And their focus on Passivity- Reactiveness, Group-Thinking, means that they would be way better suited for aiding and keeping everyone safe than the Maid.
Doc Scratch was Alchemized from Lil Cal. The Lil Cal Hovering in the Void is basically a ‘Door’ for his Soul to Manifest within Lil Cal in other Universes. He tells us quite literally, he persists as a Nightmare- It almost feels like a disease, spreading through the Universe, taking control of people, hijacking First Guardians, anything in order to perpetuate himself and cause chaos and mayhem.
Oh whoops. Misread. Hope and Space may be the closest Aspects to getting ‘Omnipotence’ as you can get, but even a Lord would still be Limited to that Aspect and not be able to do some things. Hmmmm.
Yep, Omnipotence is too OP.
You’re correct, the association is more with Lack than with Misfortune, but since it’s the opposite pair people tend to associate it with Bad Luck.
Jane’s Land’s atmosphere is not filled with Helium, rather there’s vents that produce it and Balloons that float up when filled with it. As such, the amount of Helium in the air is likely not too overwhelming, in fact since it’s lighter than air there may be no noticeable traces on the ground, and while long exposure may get her dizzy, as long as she doesn’t shove her face on one of the vent thingies she should be alright, albeit perhaps with a squeaky voice.
Jake only wears a Mask in Dirk’s Land, so it’s not both Jake and Dirk- Just Dirk, and in his case, the atmosphere of his planet IS filled with Krypton. But only at the lower levels- Since Krypton is heavier than air, we see him wear the mask at the bottom, but not at the top, it sinks down. Krypton is not toxic, but in high concentrations it can be suffocating because of the lack of oxygen, which is why they need masks.
What makes you think Hope Players are Omnipotent at all?
??? Hope Arguments? Is this a normal occurrence or…? I just want to see why other Anon thinks Hope Powers = Omnipotence.
Yes but this is not a forum or chat, and if things get heated I can just stop replying to asks. :V
That is true but- Consider. A Rogue of Void can also Create things. And the Maid and Sylph’s verb is Make. Omnipotence is more than just Creation, and as long as Characters are divided in 12 Aspects, there will always be something even a Lord can’t do because it relates to another Aspect.
I know. :p Tell that to the other bunch of anons on my Inbox though! But nah, there’s limits to what Belief can do, even Jake’s Hope Outburst could only last so much and keep Brain Ghost Dirk ‘real’ for so long. He only overwhelmed Jade because Aranea pretty much Buffed him. So it wasn’t just Hope, it was the work of two God Tiers working together to take Jade down.
Hope Discourse is officially closed bois, no need to rant in my Inbox.
Not the Strongest Life Player- The most efficient Healer, Life doesn’t need to equate Healing all the time, nor is it the most ‘powerful’ combo as much as it is the most Healing-oriented one I can think of. The Seer of Light does tend to work well for just getting as close to Omniscient Prophet as you can.
Yes, but in this blog we headcanon the Maid to Make rather than Serve! The Knight/Page is what I consider the Serve Classes.
It’s supposed to give Inconditional Mortality until the person inflicted by the Curse is sort of ‘allowed’ to die for Lord English. The fact Condy died can mean a variety of things!
1) He didn’t need her anymore, all he needed her for had been done, and thus she was simply useless and in fact, quite a liability given she was plotting against him.
2) The fact she was trying to take him down nullified the Curse as he’d not want her power to be used against him.
3) The Timeline we’re in at the End is not the Alpha Timeline.
For now, we can just speculate though.
Pt.4)Last part, please. I know that using fire is a Light thing but Mind can use any “Psychic Powers”, right? So pyrokinesis/fire-bending is something all Mind players can do and all just as effectively as a Light user, right? Thank you for you’re responses to my questions on Mind powers and the “differences” in potential powers between the Seer and Mage of Mind; I really appreciate it. They we’re really interesting to hear; good work.
I’m sorry bout Part 1 and 2 didn’t show up so this is all I’ve got to work with! From the context though I can get a few things- There can definitely be ways for the ‘original’ self and the ‘God Tier Ascended’ self to merge into one for sure, but at the same time it’s a bit unfair to call the Dead body the ‘original’, it is original in Body, but the Soul is indeed the same experiencing the same continuous Stream of Consciousness. And by the time you got to merge back into one being, both iterations would’ve surely diverged enough that mixing would be jarring. But it COULD be possible, yeah. Fire is not necessarily a Light thing, it could be a couple different Aspects. Psychic Powers sort of also happen without ties to the Classpects it seems- Like the Psychic some Trolls get, but I guess if you’re going with some Mind Fuckery, yeah Mind Players may be more prone to getting Psychic Abilities. I don’t see why not.
I don’t think it’d be possible to win without a Space Player, and it would be extremely difficult to win without a Time Player. I don’t think getting the Genesis Frog is even remotely feasible with God Tier powers, otherwise it’d make the entire game kind of a moot point. Time, though, after re-checking the Canon and seeing that Hephaestus does NOT in fact Light the Forge- Rather, the Space Player talking to Echidna does, I have found no mechanical way in which a Time Player is NECESSARY other than giving extra time and completing Time Loops. Without a Time Player, you’ve got One Chance at winning SBURB, and as we’ve seen from Canon, everything needs to be so specific and there’s so much that can go wrong, the lack of a Time Player is seen as something that makes the game Unwinnable.
It’s honestly possible that she noticed she was in the wrong iteration of the Universe and kinda hopped on to the Alpha Timeline as the Very Same Condesce. The issue is that we still do not know how she even got to Earth in the first place- I’m hoping Hiveswap will shed some light on this.
Nah, if we’re not in the Alpha Timeline anymore, it means that the Kids have escaped the grasp of LE’s influence on Paradox Space now that it’s being torn apart, and thanks to John’s Retcon Powers, so they can live their lives in peace without bothering about anything else.
Good news, you two can have a quick, nice 2-Player SBURB Session without having to wait for more people to connect and risk having someone die from the meteors if it came down to it and it wouldn’t be completely hopeless!
It’s not over, there’s the Epilogue left. :p I’m not saying there won’t be more updates- I’m saying the updates will probably NOT involve everyone being dead.
You know, that’s an extremely clever way to twist the Classpect Definition, I like it. Given we do know Non-Time Players can use Time Machines, I bet at least they’d be able to go back and forth. Whether they can properly grasp Time Loops and not end up with a thousand dead Sylphs, now that’s another issue entirely.
That’s a joke my good buddy.
Getting to another Session through the Furthest Ring is already a big endeavor, I can’t even imagine adding having to travel a distance through the Universe to get to the Planet in Question as well. I don’t think Condy of all people has that kind of patience, specially not after having spent 612 years returning to a Dead Planet only to get snatched by English.
Personalities? I’d say they’re kind of distinct enough from each other.
God, is it even feasible to drag either the Denizen to your Kernel or your Kernel to the Denizen? That’d make for kind of an interesting story, but wow, bet Echidnasprite wouldn’t be too happy.

You guys sure like that Ring!

No idea if you’d get prototyped or not, if you ascend as Half Carapacian, does being only Half count? It’d be an interesting concept to explore, but I’m not sure how happy SBURB would be about all of that.
I mean if you’re gonna go ahead and prototype your Alpha Self I’m pretty sure you can pull it off as any Aspect.
As I’ve said before, it was a dream!
Yep, I dreamt that I woke up on Prospit and I saw in my mind’s eye that I would die if I went outside. So, Seer of Doom, Prospit Dreamer.
:p That was the first and only time that happened though.
That’s the saddest thing I ever heard get said.
Hmm, Mind or Time sound choice for that.
