Pffft, misconceptions before getting into Homestuck are one of my favorite things. When I got into it, I got into it because it just updated with Dirk: Unite JUST as I was watching a friend livestream some art. The issue is, the quality of the stream was so awful I got a frame every couple of seconds, and without a single context I had no clue what was going on.

How did Damara even initiate the Scratch when the Cardinal Movement was that high?
The Scratch Construct starts closer to the ground, it’s high up in the air because it’s ascending towards Skaia.
That being said, Damara has Telekinesis, she could just. Float there.
I have done SEVERAL checks of the sizes, and what I’ve come to find out is that a) They’re definitely smaller than an actual planet, and b) Hussie gives no fucks about the actual size of the Lands.
Seriously though, Hussie’s not the best when it comes to distances and sizes, and Derse has actually been shown to be both the same size of one of the Lands, AND also a bit smaller, so it’s just. Smaller than the Earth, probably smaller than the Moon, and very much inconsistent depending on what you take as a reference.
We Just Don’t Know. Really too, I posted something Hussie said about the Moons not too long ago, that made it almost seem like it was arbitrary. You can use the Canon Aspect Quiz to find out your Lunar Sway, though, so there’s that.

Yep, you need to prototype every Sprite at least once pre-entry or you end up with a Void Session. The Battlefield never progresses to its final stage, and no matter what you do, you simply cannot create a Genesis Frog with it.
Hussie is very weird with sizes, with various styles and a disregard for heights in general, every Kid and Troll seems to be designed to be the exact same height in his style- But much like the skin tone of the Humans, Height and a lot of the time, Body Type, is left up to the reader’s imagination. In sprite form, I believe Condy is about the same size as the Adult Humans, but her height has also fluctuated from being slightly taller than Aranea, to her horns being as tall as Roxy herself is. Soooo, pretty much up to you?
That being said, there is ONE solid show of height differences I can recall from the Ancestors Stories, and…
Given Psiioniic is taller than the Disciple, and Dolorosa is taller than all of them, it’d seem that heights just sort of depend on the Troll like they do with Humans. You could argue Higher Castes being taller, but ultimately, it’s a Headcanon.
Also the height difference could be a result of age, maybe Disciple is the Youngest of the Four, and Trolls just sort of. Keep getting taller with age.
Gamzee needs to get to Earth-C somehow to raise Caliborn and Calliope, otherwise the Timeline cannot be the Alpha. Vriska, in that moment, was pretty much the Fandom- Since up until the Black Hole, the theories about Gamzee getting to Earth-C were just. Hopping on the meteor, crashing into the Earth, and skipping ahead with Aradia’s Time Tables. A Black Hole straight there is a much better gateway though.
We have no clue, the Black King Fight with the Trolls seems to imply that at 12 Prototypings, Lilly Pads started appearing on the Battlefield as well, or perhaps that was because they had already released the Grist Hoards before defeating the Black King? No idea, for all we know the Battlefield might go through various geometrical shapes until it becomes a Planet in the penultimate Prototyping, and then gets the Mobius Net on the last one.
Net which isn’t even necessary to win the game because Jade just shrank the planet itself and left it behind?
The Battlefield is just plain old weird, honestly.
They’re a Game-like Inventory that just exists in Paradox Space. Also I like that you used the technically correct but oh-so-obscure term Sylladices for the plural.
Given I cannot think of a more complex shape than a planet with a Mobius Net tangled around the outside, I would say more than 4 players just add middle steps between ‘Chess Board’ and ‘Planet with Mobius Net’, but honestly we don’t know. It may as well become something weird beyond a set number of Players.
You can bring the Battlefield from one Session to another, but I’m pretty sure Skaia itself is kind of intangible.

Influence, for example Calliope pacifies Vriska and Meenah during their fight and wakes John up through her Fanart, the reflection of her will manifests in the physical reality of Paradox Space. Similarly, Caliborn also passively Commands Time, by simply allowing the Alpha Timeline to benefit him.
John’s bite into the apple seems kind of way too symbolic to be unintentional, many have compared it to Eve biting into the Apple, Humanity’s original Sin- Although in a more Gnostic Context, as Homestuck tends to do things, this is seen as a Good Thing, Sophia giving Humanity an escape from the Cruel, Material world, which sounds about right with the Kids being transported into the Medium, away from their dying world, bathed by the Light of Skaia.
The rest are all kind of thematic. Rose’s bottle is evocative of her struggle with her Mother, and Alcohol is seen as a Void-Coded thing. The smashing of the bottle also reminded me the thing you do with a ship that’s about to board for the first time, if I recall, right?
Dave’s is an Egg, he needs to Wait, it needs Time for him to enter. It’s another item that symbolizes a beginning of a life, and specifically, it also has Gnostic Ties, the bird breaks through the shell to begin its life, sometimes to Create a World, one must be Destroyed, and Dave actually has this same Egg symbolism come up again with the Cue Ball.
Jade’s is Bec, a Symbol of Space, and in a way you could say it’s also foreshadowing about their struggle trying to defeat Bec Noir, or perhaps the fact that Jade’s going to fuse with Bec and basically consume him. It’s interesting to note both Rose and Jade were put to test with a leap of faith- Literally in Rose’s case, and figuratively with Jade shooting a completely blind shot.
He most definitely surely forgot to change or just went like ‘screw it’, the authorial intent is there even though his own headcanons still slip through from time to time.
I should also point out Hussie did NOT change the Trickster Jane ‘Caucasian’ because of backlash about the race thing, and rather he did it because there was a section of the Fandom genuinely being shitty and racist using the Caucasian thing maliciously.
Sometimes, things are merely convenient Game Mechanics to showcase something to the Fandom. Also canonically there’s like, a lot more Symbols than just the 288 Extended Zodiac ones.
Heart is Self, Feelings, Emotions, the Soul. Hope is Dreams, Beliefs. Because of this, there’s some overlap, like with some Aspects, but their sort of focus is notably distinct.

It’s a bit dubious if that’d be more Mind or Heart- Given Heart is your True Self and Mind correlates how you present yourself and your Choices, you could say the bad stuff you do intimately relates to your self, or you could say it’s all about the Choices you took. A bit of food for thought there. No idea though.

Struggles with his Lack of a Soul as Flowey, just like Aradia is already Dead- Has run out of Time, and how Jane has her Agency Stolen by the Thief of Life herself, is literally Made out of every Soul in the Underground towards the Ending, absorbs Chara’s Soul before heading out beyond the Barrier, certainly Improving his Soul… There’s a bunch to it.
I’ve argued the Lord/Muse of Time to do something like this- For just like, multiple people in general. But for all of THEIR versions? That could be an interesting take on it, yes. Terezi, as a Seer, was also kind of close to doing this, I should point out.
Both Heirs and Witches seem to deal with some kind of power play between them and their Aspect- I should note though, it’s not necessarily correct to say they’re going to ‘Gain’ their Aspect, rather, they have to learn to Bear it. If they’re not careful, their very Aspect will consume them. Mituna was Consumed by Doom, Equius was Consumed by Void, and I kinda think John nearly became consumed by his Retcon-y powers, but managed to get a hold on them properly.
Similarly, Damara is Consumed by Time through her Familiar- She becomes a servant of English, and so does the Handmaid. Feferi is Consumed by the Horrorterrors- Which, while Void-y in nature, given the pact she made with them to blow Bubbles where she could change the nature of Paradox Space to allow ghosts to Live there and provide advice, you could say she was Consumed by the Life in the Bubbles. Jadesprite is, in a way, consumed by Space- Her isolation from her Friends, the change of Setting, but Jade does manage to overcome this. She does mention being sort of almost scared about her powers at times and not being used to being nigh-omnipotent, she just doesn’t know what to do with her control over Space, but in the end she gets her answer and simply tries to have fun and be herself with her dogs.
So yes, Heirs will gain their Aspect at one point, say they will ‘inherit’ it if you want. But that moment is not the end of the Heir’s journey, that’s nothing more than the beginning, and they will have to be careful not to allow their Aspect to overcome them.
Heirs seem to be able to get Familiars as well- John sending Liv Tyler in a floating ship with WV and CD, then you have Casey… Then Equius with Arthour. You could sort of put them as sorta Familiars maybe. Witches definitely do though, and unlike Heirs, Witches are related to a big source of contact with their Aspect.
It’s possible it’s a genetic Trait. They’re the Lightbound Caste after all. Like how Golds have two pairs of Trolls.
I mean, rather, Vision Eightfold is a Serket thing. It’d seem Ceruleans just have Weird Eye Shit in general. So far at least.
