I’ve taken the class test multiple times and each time I was sure to answer as true to myself as possible and every time I got thief. My aspect is light except I don’t feel like title thief of light fits me as well as other ones. It works in some respects but not in others. When I read up on claspects I’m always drawn to the title witch of light, and thief of light isn’t ENTIRELY off, except it’s what I get every time I take the test. What do you think about this?

Meulin is a Shipper Blog, focused on the F33LS and making her Ships Canon, literally too being the Mage of Heart, the miracle-worker when it comes to relationships.
Porrim is a Feminist Icon, she loves her friends, is confident about herself, focuses on the actual noticeable issues in her society, identifying Caliborn as the sexist asshole he is with ease, and becomes pretty much the Mom Friend.
Latula, or more like, RADGLARE, is the Cool Gamer Girl stereotype, and much like the stereotype, it’s also a big facade. She definitely loves mad flips and gaming still, but the almost exaggerated personality she uses is to hide her true self and feel more liked by the others.

Probably something based around Barriers. Blocking or otherwise Nullifying the existence of an Aspect around them- The Shield, Active, and the Sink, Passive, maybe? With a pair of complementaries that’d Emit and Amplify their Aspect- The Lance, Active, and the Flare, Passive.

I actually know extremely little about TF2, I’ve only seen bits and pieces about it. I can tell you some- The Pyro seems like they would fit a Prince or Bard of Hope or Light, just causing absolute destruction by imagining that happy little world of theirs. The Spy would either be Void or Heart, maybe a Thief of Heart? Engi could be a Maid of Something, depending on what you see the Turrets as- Mind because of his smarts to build the stuff in the first place? Space? Doom? I feel that’s as detailed as I can go with this. Scout could be Breath-y.

Huh, I hadn’t. That being said, it’s sort of like how everyone thought Purples all had Z’s in their names, until Chahut popped up. So it seems to be arbitrary coincidence.
Name one common misconception that you would like to clear up?
A few, actually. Specifically, some misconceptions about Characters and Character Arcs, the widely spread dislike for the Ending based on assumptions and not quite having a clearer picture of the story itself, how the story ‘shafted’ some characters, Hussie being a ‘bad storyteller’ because they didn’t like the direction the story took, the fact the Retcon changed virtually very little in the very end and Vriska did absolutely nothing for anyone as per usual…
That’s part of why I haven’t written anything about it, but it would definitely be a Homestuck Reference. Maybe it’s Scratch’s Cue Ball, or it could be the Green Sun and radiation proceeding from it… Actually you know what, that could be a fun idea like. An Euclid Class radiation signature proceeding from beyond the boundary of the observable Universe, but detectable, unique, and seemingly manifesting through a canine-like entity warping through the Earth but mainly localized within an isolated, uncharted island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
Can you go into more detail on what the "shafted" thing means? The only thing I can think of is that certain characters died early on and so we didn't get to see as much of them as we could have...
For example, a lot of people think that Jade’s Character Arc was ruined because she was lonely and sad in the Prospit Ship, and then she fell asleep once she was in the Session and then… Played with the Dogs? Rather than thinking this as part of her Character Development- The isolation and hopelessness, feeling lost and unsure what to do, with Alt Callie’s Guidance to do what she wants and Davepeta’s Reassurance about what she should do next- They see her being sad for two or three panels, and immediately cry that her Character has been Ruined and Shafted by the Story.
And don’t get me wrong, Jade is my favorite character of, like, probably all time, but people get excessively belligerent when anything remotely bad happens to their faves, and I think Jade’s Arc was important to understand Homestuck and its Reality on a deeper level.
Some people consider other characters to have been ‘shafted’ like this by the story and like, yeah, some didn’t get as much screen time? But in general, no one really had any sort of complete Arc closed for them, and ended up kind of just lightly coming to terms with their nuance and kept struggling afterwards.

I talked about the Shafting in a prior post, but for other things… Vriska, I’ve explained this before but it may not have been in this blog. Basically, as she resurrects, she steals relevancy from everyone and makes it seem like she’s suddenly the most important character and the cornerstone of everything that happens by the end but… Her plan fails- Jake turns out to be valuable and capable of taking one of the most messy groups during the fight, Jade wakes up, Jane is knocked out-, she prevents Rose’s alcoholism because she wants a functional Seer, but doesn’t help Rose’s deeper issues with her Powers and her Self, she temporarily makes Terezi feel better, but is mostly taking advantage of her almost worship-y attitude to inflate her ego even more, and by the end, during the final Battle, she’s busy smacking the author around until the last moment, where she… Opens the Juju Chest. Something literally anyone else could’ve done. She inserted herself as something so relevant and important, but in reality, she didn’t do a god damn thing. In fact, she made GCATavrosprite and put it as some sort of Heroic Act on her part, even though she made him allergic to himself. What a dick.
Most of the plot threads leading to the ending were actually closed- It’s just it was before the Ending or some even Anticlimatically. Hussie once described Homestuck as a Creation Myth, back during the First Acts, and this kind of take on the story actually changes a LOT about how you have to take it and the Ending. It’s a story about Kids grappling with their spot in Reality, with what they should Do. Rose’s alcoholism, and in the Retconned Timeline, her doubt about her value as a Seer, her struggles with her Land and her Mother, are a source of confusion that don’t let her see her Spot in the world. Dave, on the other hand, has to grapple with his Brother’s Abuse and coming to terms with it. Karkat doesn’t fit the Hemospectrum, and he doesn’t fit the Quadrant System either. Terezi grapples with her past Choices and the fact she could not see another way out back in the day. John acts as the Protagonist of the Story, and as such once the action is done, when he’s reduced to Inaction, he becomes despondent and depressed. Jane is put in a situation she doesn’t like, but rather than saying it, she bottles it up. Jake tries to abstract himself and ignore everything he doesn’t like to shield himself from Drama, only causing more in the process- These issues are things they will likely grapple with for their entire lives, and everyone comes with a different answer. Dave has Dirk reassure him and let him vent, even though it’s just a temporary measure and the damage is there for life, while Dave reassures Dirk he’s not a bad person, even though he still struggles with the way he does stuff. Rose has Kanaya and Roxy to lean on while Jasprose represents her with a lack of Filter- What she thinks and would do if she didn’t hold herself back, a part of herself she represses and for good reason at times. John needs something to do which is why he’s so alone and doing nothing at all during the Credits, but as we see with Jade, his friends aren’t just going to abandon him, and keep at the very least talking to him through Snapchat and Pesterchum. Karkat has found a semblance of romantic stability with Dave. Terezi feels like she needs Vriska to live on, having seen the potential through GO! Terezi and (Vriska)’s relationship in Terezi Remem8er, and so on and so forth. Whether it’s good for them or not, whether they need their friends to lean on or they have found a romantic relationship, everyone comes with a lightly different way they fit into their Reality. Homestuck is a story about the world around us, about what to do to be happy, how to treat others, and how to live our lives.
But also, the story itself and the plot is good and, yeah, convoluted, but the thing a lost of people complain about is about certain key things being missing- Except they’re not? There’s little bits of omission through the middle that I feel are deliberate to allow for different interpretations, but we have a good look at the end-game state of things and predestination, which makes a lot of details become obvious thinking a bit about them. Other more obscure ones, is likely will be given a more canonical look when the Epilogue comes around. This is really my opinion on the Ending, but given the way I didn’t feel it was really ‘incomplete’ in a lot of aspects people were complaining, and what I later learned about Hussie’s view of the story and just, in general, metaphysical and philosophical views about stuff, I started to realize it’s not even like, subtext, it’s blatant and blaring, but if you don’t know it’s there you don’t notice it. And that’s… Sadly what happened with a lot of people. They say Homestuck ‘was never a Story about the Meta’ or ‘about what it Teaches’, except it. Really was, but they didn’t notice that was the case, and now that they’re bent on their opinion of the Ending and the feeling it left on them, it’s hard to change it.
Also this is dragging a bit too long so. I may go more in-depth about stuff or answer other questions if you guys poke me about it, but for now, that’s really all there is to say on the matter.
I’m not Salty! I genuinely love her Character and the disparity between Vriska and (Vriska), but as I see it, all she did was become relevant by doing nothing useful to anyone because she’s a self centred little 8itch.

i would like to know more about the things that people miss that make them complain, if you don't mind...
Not that much anymore, but I recall back when [S] Collide and Act 7 Dropped, I saw a few Reactions and people asking things that. We actually already knew but since it’d been so long since they’d been back into Homestuck, they had forgotten entirely about. Others also downplayed the importance of what Caliborn does and says in the Masterpiece because we get Vriskagram right afterwards. It took until the [S] Credits for people to start putting things together a bit more, and specially the belief that John is going to go beat Caliborn’s ass and fulfill the Masterpiece Timeline after the scene in the Credits, even though I personally think that’s not going to happen there.
A big pet peeve of mine, too, is people refusing to see clear symbology in Homestuck- Like, okay, sure, there are some theories that are a big stretch, but some people really refuse to even consider Homestuck as a Gnostic Story, under the belief that ‘Hussie just chose words because they sounded cool’, when gardenGNOSTIC is one of the first god damn screen names we learn about, and the parallels between the realm of the Light and Skaia are big, not to say anything about Abraxas and Yaldabaoth literally being Denizens, but no, Hussie just thought the names were cool.
I just see Homestuck as a cool story. Forget all the symbolism, theories, all that stuff. It's a good read, I thought about the ending and choose want I thought it was. End of story. No need to over complicated. I'm more lay back like that.
This is a good way of seeing it, too, like. Homestuck has a lot of Depth, but it’s also just a nice story. What I’m arguing here is people that people saying that the Depth they didn’t want to see muddled the story, and therefor it was Objectively Bad, are being silly. You can still enjoy Homestuck without going deep into Metaphysics and have a blast towards the End.
That being said, it IS fun to go back and see the intent of a lot of things and inspirations and symbolism.

Fair I guess although a bit jaded, specially because most explicit Religious parallels and things in Homestuck are from a Metaphysical Standpoint and not from the actual nuances of each specific Religion. You don’t need to Believe in God to think ‘Respect others and be Good’ is a nice teaching to parallel. Also, the Highblood Cult, how Prospit Worships the Genesis Frog, the Kids ascending to literal Godhood and the like, muddle and at the same intertwine with Religious stuff to a minor extent.
Oof that’d depend on the individual person and the Class as well, buuut let’s say that Light, Void, Hope and Rage are the best Liars, with maybe Breath and Blood as the worst Liars? Everyone else is kinda fuzzy.
By a Gnostic Story I mean it’s a Story with Gnostic Themes. As I’ve stated before, Hussie calls Homestuck a Creation Myth- Think of it like the Bible, a story that tells us how the Universe came to be, our place in the Universe as people, and how to live our lives, Morality, Philosophy, that kind of stuff.
Gnosticism is a religious current that takes the concept of the classic ‘God’ and vilifies it- Instead, it tells us there’s a True God, Abraxas, the core of the World of Ideas, from which emanations flow, Aeons, all paired and complementary with each other. One day, however, the Aeon Sophia, accidentally creates an Aeon without a pair- Yaldabaoth. And by being Unpaired, it cannot grasp the World of Ideas. Left alone in the darkness, it likens itself to God, and creates the Physical World. As such, the Physical World is one of Darkness and Suffering. Bad things happen because the ‘God’ of reality is a False God, and it’s through the Realm of Ideas that we free ourselves from the oppressive reality and reach Sophia, the World of Ideas, and Abraxas. This is an oversimplification and may not be exactly 1 to 1 with actual Gnostic Teachings, but it’s a quick explanation of some core concepts.
Likewise- Homestuck is a Story that tells us how the Universe is Created. There’s the oppressive, Physical Reality and the World of Ideas, represented twofold, on one side with the World being Destroyed and SBURB as the escape route- Physically with Dream Selves, too- And on the other as well as with the Alpha Timeline and how they’re trying to just survive and be happy. Skaia parallels the Realm of Light, and likens the Aspect of Light to Ideas, and Caliborn doesn’t have Yaldabaoth for nothing, as he, as Lord English, becomes the Yaldabaoth of Homestuck’s Narrative, an all powerful deity that oppresses the characters within the setting with a cruel and grim reality they’re trying to escape from. There’s a lot more to this and I really recommend you check @revolutionaryduelist‘s blog, Youtube and Medium pages, because wow there’s some good stuff there!
On top of the themes in Homestuck, Earthbound and The Neverending Story are both stories with Gnostic Elements as well, and two things Homestuck really draws inspiration from, only tightening this bond.
What would happen if Trolls had blood transfusions? Like a Purple-blood giving his blood to a Gold-blood because the Gold-blood has not enough blood? On a further note, what would happen if two trolls of contrasting blood colour have an offspring?
I do not quite think it’d be healthy for those Trolls, if their bodies don’t outright reject other caste’s bloods, I bet there’d be some awful consequences. Human Blood has a few different types that can FUCK you up if you’re not careful with transfusions, I can’t even imagine with the more volatile-seeming genetics of Trolls and the visibly-distinct blood colors, it’d be very much the same.
That being said, that’s simply not something that happens as far as we know about Troll Anatomy. Rather than having a couple mix their genetic material, it seems One Troll’s Genes predominate over the rest- And I say rest because, remember, Troll Reproduction isn’t a matter of two Trolls, it’s like. All of Alternia’s genetic pool dumped into a big, gross bug and mixed to lay thousands of eggs. “Incestuous Slurry” is the canonical term for a reason. Troll Reproduction is weird.

Hehe, I’m really the same, although I may not be the most adequate person to go too in-depth about this kind of stuff! I do know a few things, however, about more general symbolism and some religious little bits and pieces here and there. To start with, you have Jake’s Screen Name referencing Golgotha, the hill Jesus Christ died on, which supposedly ties in with Hope and Faith. It’s also a possible link between Caliborn and God- Since, once again, Yaldabaoth in Gnosticism is a take on the Christian God, and Jake is closely tied to the Cherubs. Similarly, I’ve argued with some friends about the similarities between Caliborn and the different forms his Essence takes- Lil Cal, Lord English, Scratch, and such, with the Trinity, but this is more of a stretch and speculation.
After Hiveswap, seeing the paintings in Grandpa’s place, and then tying back to Lord English’ Sarcophagus and some minor themes regarding SBURB, there seems to be parallels between English and Ra, but as I said I’m not the person to ask this kind of thing about, I just recall commenting it in the passing, but not further details about it.
In a less Symbolic way but still Present, given her Wedding, it’d seem Rose is Jewish, and by extension, possibly also Roxy.

And I believe ARquius also implies this to be a thing before getting glitched out by the Stardust, thankfully, but indeed, Damara’s Lewd Dialog is one of the few references we have to Canon Troll Anatomy.

Is the reason that condy has been in power so long is not just that she is more powerful than any heiress that has been sent to fight her, but that the crown/circlet can mind control the heiress to not put up a fight and get culled. The only evidance that I have is jane's tiaratop was able to infect and mind control her when condy put it on her.
Yeah but Jane’s Tiara was a Crockercorp Tiaratop with its own unique design, there’s nothing to indicate any other Heiress was under any sort of Mind Control at any point. Not to say, Jane is a Human, and the other Heiresses would’ve been Fuchsia Blooded Trolls which likely adds a layer of resistance. If you want to blame anyone other than Condy being Cunning and Good at being an evil Tyrant, you could blame Doc Scratch vaguely influencing things to ensure Condy isn’t dethroned.

It would fit, and it’s one of the main nicknames I’ve been using for her personally since, although if she shared the “HIC” acronym, given how Beforan Society was, it may be more accurate to call her Her Imperial Coddler.
I just thought of something funny: since the 'Maid' class is "made of aspect" then Maid of Void wouldn't exist at all! (I know you already answered about Maid of Void, but I wanted to have my take on it). Additionally, what would be the powers of a Maid of Mind and a Maid of Heart?

I just had a thought: if the Knight of Light could supposedly manifest weapons made of light (as you may or may not have suggested in a previous post)... Does that mean they could manifest lightsabers? (a little less serious than most other asks, but I still wished to share this silly idea.)
I mean- The fun thing about the Knight of Light is that they’d be able to make Lightsabers out of nothing! Technically speaking, if you have a Sword and a Star Wars DVD, you could get a Lightsaber from the Alchemiter. But being able to pull a solid beam of laser right out your sleeve and attack with it, now that’s thinking like a Knight of Light.

That’s a good question! And honestly I have no idea. My main blog is @wakraya and I follow a bunch of people but like, most of them are people I’ve followed for ages, and that have changed their names quite a bunch.
