Curiously, given that a major part of Rose’s Character Arc revolves around refusing to follow her quest and the doubt and wonder of what her Quest would’ve been like and how she would’ve been able to fulfill it, Playing the Rain is a rather straight-forward thing that’s explained extremely early on.

JASPERSPRITE: So if you play the right song and it makes all the right letters then those letters could be all the letters that make life possible. JASPERSPRITE: So all you have to do is wake up and learn to play the rain! JASPERSPRITE: Does that make sense rose sorry i disappeared for so long.
Obviously, the ‘Letters that make life possible’ means the 4 DNA thingies, GCAT. Jaspers implies that Rose should be able to see a pattern in the way the water falls as if they were the strings of a violin, and the Song resulting from this would be a DNA Sequence that’d bring Life back to her Land. Given Rose’s the Seer of Light, a Quest revolving around her being able to identify patterns in her light-colored rain and ‘play’ them as a Song is definitely fitting. But also too ribbon-wrapped and easy for Rose to take seriously.
One thing I would've liked to know was how a random cat ended up as the first guardian of alpha earth.

He’s the Ectobiological clone of Jaspers mixed with Jake’s BARK Code to give him First Guardian Powers, just like Bec is Halley’s Ecto clone mixed with Rose’s MEOW Code. We actually even see Crockertier Jane bringing Jake’s notebook to the Ectomachine in the Temple to create him. This is one of the reasons, too, why I believe Condy sabotaged the First Guardian- There’s Lil Cal and a Cue Ball in the Session, in this Universe, LE’s Seed and Vessel are within, and yet Lord Scratch is not the First Guardian? And she sent the Brains of the Operation to do something as simple as pressing a button? I like headcanoning that Condy used Jane to alter the locked coordinates of the Ecto-machine that’d be otherwise targeting the Cue Ball and Lil Cal, and set them just on Jaspers, making a First Guardian she could easily control with the Taurus Animal Communion.

There are a lot of themes regarding theism in Homestuck, from the worship of the consorts and carapacians regarding the Heroes and the Genesis Frog, to the Gnostic Symbolism, there’s such a mish-mosh of ideals and parallels that it’s obvious Hussie did some research on a bunch of stuff, making it hard to tell if he believes in any of them, or if he merely likes the philosophical themes presented in them.

Snrk. I mean Equius seems pretty fine with being part AR. That being said, that separation automatically transgresses Canon in the fact that ARquius IS a necessary part of Lord English.

The thing with Tlcstuck is, while its pretty interesting, it diverges from cannon a bit too much and has some things that don't quite match up with canon facts and character's abilities sometimes. Either way I'd say it's still alright.

Guiding others to be more friendly and create bonds is a good start, although you can see how Kankri corrupted this into something not exactly good. Knowing what makes people get together in the first place and how to be friendly. Likely it’d let you know about circulation flow, so if someone has some blood disease chances are you’d know it. You’d also be able to See things relating to your Blood Caste, to your Family, and potentially even alternate versions of yourself- Like the Sufferer, who Knew about the Bonds people made in Beforus, Saw through the eyes of Kankri and dedicated his life to bringing peace to Alternia, Guiding others to be friendly with each other and not fight, trying to dismantle the unfairness of the Hemospectrum.

It’s implied Condy experimented on herself, meaning that it was more of a Scientific Process to unlock the powers. As far as we know they don’t quite have Psychic Powers, but Feferi was pretty god damn physically strong.
What effects would grimdarkness have on a Bard of Void? Could said Bard defeat the horrorterrors with ease?
Void Hypercharge, they’d get way more Eldritch. Although Grimdarkness does seem to be Horrorterror Corruption, so chances are they wouldn’t exactly give it to someone who’s trying to kill them.

Shifting the consequences of people’s actions doesn’t sound too likely, since the consequences seem more like, a chain of causality stemming from a choice. Rather, they’d sway what choice they take, which leads to a change in their actions. Of course they’d also be able to Change other peoples’ Minds, may sway opinions and ideas, alter memories and thoughts, and change how others perceive someone or how someone shows themselves to others. Witch and Mind, too, sounds like an extremely logical and rational person. Kinda robot-like.

I drew a troll yesterday with prosthetic horns. Would the prosthetics have any effect on their psychic abilities? They're a prince of void, however, so could they destroy their inability to use psychic powers (if the horns affect that)?
I don’t quite think Horns have anything to do with psychic powers personally. I mean- Do Horns have any purpose other than aesthetic purposes or vestigial from their species? I know a big headcanon is that they’re Calcified Antenna, and another that they’re sensitive, but other than that they seem to serve no major purpose.

Acadia maintained her powers as a ghost so one could argue even there brain might not affect. There powers, if anything horns would be like, focusers, make it easier but if they were damaged they would just need time to adapt

It’s unknown if Knights are actually always the ones to help with the Frog Breeding. There’s nothing the Knights can do that makes it so they would have to be the ones helping Frog Breeding, they’re just prone to help. Literally anyone could lend a hand.

re: troll dreams, thats a fair point, but im seeing a hole in blaming chucklevoodoos for it in that we've seen that seadwellers use recuperacoons too. i dont think it really makes sense to say the trolls responsible for keeping the case system in place are also attacking their superiors. im aware of the animosity between landdwellers and seadwellers but it still feels very off. (i hope this doesnt come off as rude? im just not sure about your logic)

They’d only ascend once. The Quest Bed warps the Dream Self to the Battlefield, where it ascends. The Crypt Ascends the Real Body or the Dream Self on the spot. If the Crypt Ascension kicks in first, there’s no un-ascended body to Ascend. If the Quest Bed Ascension kicks in first, the Dream Self is warped to the Battlefield where it Ascends normally.
Speaking of Aradian, I'm kinda confused as to what happened to her throughout the entire comic, would you mind enlightening me?
She LARPed with Tavros against Vriska and Terezi, before their feud escalated and ended up having Vriska murder her by Mind Controlling Sollux. Once dead, however, her spirit remained on Alternia with a way more nihilistic personality. As they discovered the Temple Ruins with SBURB’s Code, though, she plotted to bring herself back to life. First, prototyping herself, to grant her a living body, then having Equius build a Troll-shaped robot so she didn’t have to be a ghostly sprite.
Now in the Session, she exacted revenge on Vriska for being an asshole, and with more impulsive and violent tendencies, started to take care of the Timeline, abusing her Time Powers to ensure everything went right, and using her psychic powers and the fact there were 1000 Aradias at that point, to nullify the Black King’s Vast Glub analogue. Once they won, she was the first one to react to Noir’s appearance, and sent everyone to the Veil, while her 999 copies were left behind trying to stop Noir. They didn’t.
Once Noir destroyed Derse, however, her Dream Self, which had been in her Bed Crypt all along, was destroyed- And as such, her Dream Self died and ascended- Dragging her Soul out of the Prototyped Sprite that’s in the Aradiabot, and detonating it as she reached God Tier. And then, confronting Noir, she waited until he was flashing with his zappy powers to warp through him and next to the Green Sun. Not bound to being Dead anymore, and with her more optimistic personality back, however, she focused on herself, and what she wanted.
And what she wanted, was to take care of the Bubbles, experience what everyone through the various Timelines had managed to do, and ultimately, following English’ path of destruction out of sheer curiosity, wanting to experience by herself what was there After the End, what would happen to Paradox Space, to reality. Kind of creepily voyeuristic.

Golds have Psionics, Jades are Rainbowdrinkers, Ceruleans can Mind Control, Indigos are stronger than average, Purples have Chucklevoodoos. We don’t know if any of the other castes have any special powers.
