wait so Skaia itself i suppose is what doesn't like 1 player sessions but... what exactly is so bad about it? not playing with a team is basically considered taboo but why it's not like it's actually harming Paradox Space itself

The objective of SBURB is to Create a Universe, and the Quests are designed as a way to improve the Players and make them fit to become rulers of this new Universe. Straight away, you need Space and Time to have a viable Session, so a one-player Session would never be able to work. However, at the same time, multiple people, entering the game together, Internet friends, they’re supposed to hold a balance of the powers. Absolute power corrupts absolutely, a single, all-powerful ruler of a Universe is much more likely to go wrong than multiple people who’ve known each other for a while and keep each other in check. It’s likely SBURB takes the attempt to play a one-Player Session as a selfish attempt to become a single, godly ruler, even if that’s not the case, and so casts the Player into what should theoretically be an Unwinnable Scenario.

Wait so the troll have 48 zodiac signs right? So how does that fit in with the Extended Zodiac and the rest of their signs?

The Troll Signs and their Zodiac have nothing to do with each other. OUR Zodiac is based off of their symbols, not the other way around. Their 48 Zodiac Symbols are the icons of whatever 48 Squiddles created the Troll Universe.

How many arms does Nannasprite have?

Okay, this may sound a little bit silly, but it’s a genuine question. How many arms does she have? After finishing a little bit of art and showing a friend, they found the way I had drawn her arms weird. Up until now, I had always assumed Nannasprite had two arms.

Judging by the position of the chopped-off hat and the scar, I always assumed the ghostly, floating arm, was the representation of the missing, chopped-off arm! In Carapaces, who are physical, this appears as a Stump Arm, but with a ghostly Sprite guide, Harlequinsprite and Nannasprite manifest a chopped-off, hovering arm. Which leaves them with still one normal arm, that is never actually drawn because of Homestuck’s style.

However, my friend thinks that the Floating Arm is actually the one Fake Arm that’s still attached to the Harlequin Doll! Which would leave Nannasprite with 1 Arm, just the hovering one!

And you know what? I’ve looked through the comic, and yeah, it seems that Hussie has consistently drawn Nannasprite with no arms except the hovering one?

But then again, Hussie DOES like toying around with styles and when to show arms and where to not show them. Position on the Harlequin Doll implies Nannasprite has two arms. Art implies she has one arm. So I ask you, do you think Nannasprite has a single, floating arm? Or does she have two- A not-drawn, attached arm, and the floating one?

Take the Strawpoll Here!

I want to see what the Fandom in general thinks about this!

Theoretically a time player stop time on a person and since every part of the person's atoms is frozen it would create the coldest temperature in existence absolute zero and if a time player speed up the person and make them exstreamly hot

That’s not how Time Stop works though! If you stop someone’s Time, you stop the Time for its atoms- You don’t ‘freeze’ its atoms or make them ‘move faster’, you’re altering the Time Flow, not Physical Matter! Even if the rest of the Universe keeps moving and you selectively freeze someone in Time, for the Atoms they are made of, there’s no Time at all passing, so there’s no energy gain or loss. In fact- Given the Planets and Galaxies move, if you froze someone in Time and they didn’t immediately disappear because they are not travelling along with the Earth’s movement and rotation and the Milky Way’s rotation, it’d mean they are STILL moving through the Universe, which would imply their atoms still move, even if their body and consciousness are locked.

Do we know where each of the 7 gates lead and where they are?

Either to another area of your Land or to another Land’s house, with the 7th Gate leading to the Denizen Palace.

I have a question I’ve been thinking about, so you know how YOU make your god tier and not the other way around, and that time and space are necessary? What if there is a group but no one ‘fits’ time and space? I feel like since sburb is a game with Code, it will automatically roll for someone to be in those roles, kind of like how lord and muse will be in a two player sessions no matter what bc it’s what’s needed to beat the game when it’s broken. Idk, I could be wrong what are your thoughts?

Muse and Lord have no canonically set restrictions like that, that’s Fanon and we don’t even know if there’s any restrictions. Space and Time are not necessarily assigned though- Most Sessions just. Aren’t viable. That’s what Null Sessions are. You just play an unwinnable game, and end up dying.

Could you explain the space players' quests?

Frog Breeding.

Really though, basically your Land is full of Frogs, who are trapped or otherwise in a bad condition because of something. So you go talk to Echidna, who Lights the Forge, and releases the Frogs. Then you have to use those frogs to create the Genesis Frog’s Genetic Code through Ectobiology. The thing is, however, that you need to go get every single individual Frog! Because if you don’t go get the Frogs, they will not be interacted with through the entire Timeline, so you won’t be able to Paradoxify some Slime! So, you basically make a mental note to go get that Frog later, so you can get Paradox Slime. The Slime is collected and the genetic code gathered- And a Paradox Clone is created. Now, that Paradox Clone will grow up to become the very Frog you just cloned, closing the circle of stupidity! Repeat this until you have the full sequence of a Universe’s Genetic Code, and finish it off with the Last Frog, which should be back on your Planet, as a wake-up call by Skaia to the Space Player, and presto! You get a Frogniverse.

As a Breath player, is it ok if im not the uh... party animal? You know like i like to party but only a little and i go out with friends a lot! But many people hc John (a Breath player) as a great party guy and im not? I don't really like going out at night and drinking..? Am I not a good Breath player for that? Oh also mention im a sylph and from prospit so you know?

I think John is as far removed from a Party Animal as possible. People take the ‘leadership’ meaning of Breath too exclusively and forget Breath is the Aspect of Detachment as well. They’re ones who kind of do their own thing.

BLOOD PLAYERS on the other hand, those are more likely to be Party Animals.

about the last ask about breath... could you elaborate a bit more on the relation between leadership and detachment of this aspect, please? ´:3c

Both Blood and Breath are considered Leaders- However, Breath Players lead by example. They do their own thing, happen to do inspiring, cool stuff, and people follow them. But they aren’t really into the whole leadership role? John is the Leader, but he considers himself more of the Friend, and doesn’t really lead anyone in the Session, he’s just that inspiring, high-levelled player the rest kind of look up to and like. If anything for most of the Session, people boss him around and tell him what to do and he’s clueless about a lot of the situation. Tavros too, poor guy’s just trying to get by, and when he DOES take upon a role of Leadership? He give sit up immediately. He’s driven to his own goals, fulfills what he wants- Which is to rub it in Vriska’s face, and then is just kind of. Indifferent about the role and the Army, so he just gives it away. As the Canon Aspect description puts it, “They were just doing their own thing.“

Blood, on the other hand, is all about forming a strong bond with the others. They’re inspirational Leaders, and seem more bound to saying than to acting. So, Breath Players just kind of do their own thing, pursue their stories, don’t get tied down to something, but are impactful enough that people regard them as Heroes and important characters, enough to want to follow them. Blood on the other hand, try hard to get everyone together and lead them towards a single goal, but when it comes down to their own personal actions, they are more impactful with what they inspire than what they accomplish by themselves.

Why were all those Carapacians living near Roxy?

Why WOULDN’T you want to create a colony around Roxy Lalonde?

In all seriousness, it’s possible that Alpha Mom prepared Roxy’s house specifically to be modular and easily replicable for a large Exile population?

What classpect(s) would be able to deprive others of their senses?

Something Voidy seems like a good choice.

Any speculation on who the grubbles biggest fan is? They mentioned going to see their biggest fan, someone who could help. I'm wondering if she's in the troll call, or maybe gonna be revealed later?

My current theory is that their biggest fan may be Cridea? It’d be a good way to introduce another member of the resistance, specially someone of such a high blood.

are the lanterns in Jane's land exclusive to a life player? or are they exclusive to a void session? Are they just part of her puzzle? why are they there?

I mean they seem like part of Jane’s Land in general. Just like, part of Jane’s Land, without necessarily tying into her Aspect or their Session.

Hi, I'm trying to come up with a strife specibus ala problem sleuth. like a key or ring of keys that become different weapons, do you think that would be like just Keykind or maybe Glitcheditemkind?

Kanaya’s Lipstick Chainsaw is Makeupkind, so it seems like items that become other items still count as one of the two or both.

What would have happened if the dancestors’ session succeeded?

English would’ve never been created. Which, as we know, is a no-no.

Whose hair is longer? Marvus or Chahut?

Chahut, by like, a long shot.

Do you think two players could help eachother enter the game even though there are not in the same session ?

I mean… They could help each other as much as neighbours/friends trying to help each other through a meteor apocalypse could. If you mean a Server-Client kind of help, though, no. Server-Client connection means they are in the same Session.

So what if this happens: There are two sessions with a full chain already. Two people, one from each session, decide to be the server player to a mutual friend (a troll who they met on pesterchum/trollian) who is the client, would this connect the seesions?

I don’t think you can connect through SBURB to players on other Sessions.

is shrek canon

Yes.

How did the dancestor trolls die, and what do we know about pre-damage Mituna?

We know that Mituna had visions of bad stuff and tried to warn people about it and change it to protect his friends. We also know Kurloz was his Moirail, and probably the only personw ho knows what happened to him.

Also, Meenah blew them all up with the mini-Tumor in their Battlefield.

Could one person be the server player to multiple client players? Related, could someone run two instances of the client and connect with multiple server players? What would happen?

Dave and Jade. When John couldn’t keep helping her after the entry, Dave just connected to her instead and became the Server of both Rose and Jade.

What if one person really wanted to play sburb, but all of his friends said no so he played by Himself? Would he still be bound to the fate of a one player session?

Yeah. If you are trying to close a single-player chain, you’re entering a Dead Session.

Would me going back in time to be another player in the session count as a two player session?

Chances are… No? Because you’re still the same person. Now if a Sprite version of you, combined with something, went back in time, that may be different enough, and even then, who knows.

Hence, what could a thief of hope do? I’m really confused with what powers would they get when ascending :?

I’ve talked a bit about them! Remember to check my blog first to see if I have already answered some specific Classpects. Leaving someone Hopeless and racking up those Hope points yourself, taking away their beliefs to reinforce your own, Hope is abstract enough that it could go a lot of different ways.

What if Cali and Cali did manage to start a two player session?

It would’ve been extremely weird because SBURB does count them as two separate Souls, but with a single body, one of them WOULD have had to die and become their Dream Self. With no Frog Temple in the Session, either, there’s no way back for some weird time loop, so… Maybe they would’ve had to enter the game simultaneously and the Meteor would’ve been split in half?
