I mean, Pain seems more a Doom Thing, not sure how broad Rage is in terms of emotions. Also is. Pain an Emotion?
Either way, someone who takes the Pain away would work not as a Healer, but as an Adrenaline Rush. Healers can Heal a wound, but if you take the Pain away, you can keep going while wounded. Healing takes time off the battle, if there’s no Pain, there’s no Limits of how far you’ll push your body, you will just keep going until you can physically not move anymore. Not useless even with healing.
I've just noticed something about the Zahhaks, Equius, Horuss and Darkleer; all of them have glasses that obstruct their eyes. Equius wears black glasses, Horuss wears black googles and Darkleer wears black glasses connected to his helmet. Does that relate to their Void aspect?
Yep, Shades literally obscure one’s sight, there’s two ticks for Void there, obscuring, and also preventing Vision (Which is Light-bound). Shades are Void-y enough to actually mask the whispers of the Horrorterrors.

Okay, I had to read a bunch on Quetzalcoatl to see if there were any parallels or interesting things- Lord English already has ties to Egyptian and Gnostic Mythology, and knowing that Grandpa did have Mesoamerican idols and iconography around the house, it seemed plausible, but as far as I can tell, the ties to Quetzalcoatl aren’t too plentiful. He’s mentioned as a Creator Deity of Humanity, God of the Wind and Light, the Morning Star, which made me think about the Betas, about the Juju, but without anything solid. A myth also depicts him getting drunk and cavoting with his sister, then, ashamed, being buried in a Turquoise stone chest and self-immolating, becoming the Morning Star. You could maybe read something about Caliborn’s attraction to Calliope, and Calliope’s death to have some similarities, but what I’ve found so far is vague and I can’t really say there are any ties.
Similarly, I’m also looking into Xolotl, associated with Death, Lightning and Fire, escorting the Sun as it travels through the Underworld, depicted with empty eye sockets and also tied to Axolotls (Having transformed into one at some point, at least partially). I’m no expert at all, god knows, I only know as much as it’s readily available on the Internet, but with the First Guardian Axolotl concept art (First Guardians having blank eyes and being associated with Lightning, Fire and the Sun (Green)), and Xolotl’s ties to Quetzacoatl as well (As his Twin), I feel there COULD be something here, but it may be a bit too early to say for sure. I would need to look more into this.

It’s a bit more complicated than that. As Aranea says:

Do remember that Cherub Mating is exclusively Hate-Based. Rather than a physical attraction, what they covet is the struggle they went through to predominate, an equivalent to fill in the part they pretty much absorbed. And given the Cherubs are coded to be Good or Evil, this works to their advantage since half of their entire population is going to be able to fill in that place.
Now, however, this is normal Cherubs, Cherubs who grow up in complete and utter Isolation, who may not see or interact without another being for their entire lives except when the time comes to mate. Calliope and Caliborn break this mold, as they interact with Humans and Trolls and have their perception of the world changed by them, they take upon Social Constructs and move beyond normal Cherub Behavior.
This shines through Calliope in the way she learns that, hey, yeah she can definitely feel Flushed and Pale for others, and her Feelings are not bound to Hatred, and she writes all sorts of embarrassing, sappy, and potentially even smutty tales of her OC and her Friends. Conversely, Caliborn, rather than learning love and affection as natural things, fetishizes flushed physical attraction and romance, to the point where he the more tender and sweet something is the more he likes it, in the most disturbing of ways.
So Caliborn doesn’t, at any point, shy away from hating Calliope. She has her always as the ultimate thing that must be destroyed, how beautiful it is to kill her, painting his words with her blood, that’s. Awful but apparently more akin to normal Cherub Behavior. The fact he sees her as a Sister, however, already taints the normal Cherub conventions of her merely being another self he has to predominate over, and further likening her to figures he shows a flushed attraction towards, indeed, cements this as not just ‘Normal Cherub Behavior’, and much closer to ‘The Concept of Human Incest’.
And at the same time, something like that ALSO cements the idea of Caliborn as a Narcissist, stroking his own ego, given that, physically, except for their eye color, they share the exact same body. Forever, too, or at least until he becomes Lord English, since he stumped his growth by predominating early, he’ll forever look like a red-eyed version of Calliope, except for his. You know, robot leg and gold tooth.

I mean, I know this one is just a joke following after Dave’s words but, does Skaia have a Personality at all? Like, it’s an Entity, sort of like an All-Knowing God, it values individuality and hyper-flexible personalization, but unlike the Horrorterrors who do showcase a will, Skaia just kind of. Is. Exists as a sort of parallel to the Gnostic World of Ideas, it’s even more unfathomable than the Horrorterrors themselves. More benevolent, where the Horrorterrors are chaotic, but still just kind of. A weird entity.

I mean, Skaia doesn’t really do any of that. SBURB is the mechanism through which the Universe reproduces, the process is built into the Genesis Frog itself. In the Universe of Homestuck, there’s no alternative to any of it, a world’s gotta die for it to birth a new Universe, and Skaia, while at the core of the Session, and as the cradle of the new Universe, seems more of a byproduct of this process. Similarly, all Sprites share knowledge of the game to help the players in their adventures, however useful or useless they may be is more regarding whatever the Players themselves prototyped.

Yeah, which doesn’t mean they’re not helpful. They’re made to be vague to not spoil the whole Quest, let the Players get acclimated to their Role, the fact they’re going to become Gods and create a Universe, and in some Sessions, the fact that they were made in a laboratory and sent through Meteors back to their planet.

The Soleil are a bit of a special case because they are Twins, they were raised together. When it comes to Ancestors and Descendants, they do seem to share the Symbol and Surname- But since they’re both alive at the same time, their shared Surname is more relating to the fact they’re Twins, rather than a connection to their Symbol. They share everything- Even their Surname.

So I'm making a God Tier sprite sheet and I was wondering about the color of Light's shoes. Is it the Serkets' reds or Rose's blue? I would assume blue, as it seems that Vriska's are only red because she loves the color.
Sadly, we don’t quite know, because God Tier Shoes seem to be kind of defined by whoever the wearer is, rather than having a standard color palette! For example, all the Betas have the God Tier colors of whoever they were shipped with by Karkat on their shoes! Rose has Breath-blue shoes, John has Light-yellow soles. Jade has Time-red slippers that also double as a Wizard of Oz reference, Dave has monochrome, dark shoes, like Space’s colors. There seem to be patterns, like, similarly, Dirk has Jake-green shoes, and Jane has Roxy-pink soles- But this could also be a reference to Heart and Life, associated with Nepeta (Olive) and Feferi (Fuchsia), both of which show those colors in their God Tier outfit as well! But then you break the mold, with Jake’s shoes being orange (Dirk, and tying in with the Hope colors), while Eridan’s are a striking violet, like his blood. Vriska just seems to wear Red because she likes Red, and similarly, Roxy’s Rogue outfit has boots that just seem to work aesthetically with the rest of her scheme. Then, conversely, Rufioh and Tavros both have Yellow in their outfits- Keeping the palette from John even though it doesn’t fit as well to have Light-yellow for them as well. Or perhaps it does? Tavros and Vriska, Summoner and Mindfang, it may still reference Light in a way.
Either Way, shoe color is messy in Homestuck, if you don’t know what color your shoes should be, try to make it a meaningful reference to someone important to you, make them your favorite color/blood color if it’s your Fantroll, or merely work with the standard palette.

Half and half I’d say? Right at the middle of the Hemospectrum, sort of Lowblood-ish, but since they take care of the Mother Grub, they may get special privileges and people may be wary not to just murder Jadebloods randomly. That being said, since they also have to spend their lives in the Brooding Caverns as Caretakers, they are one of the most physically oppressed castes, bound to a specific location, were leaving and living anywhere else is considered an oddity- Even in Beforus, Porrim left the Brooding Caverns disgruntled with the role she’d been assigned, so imagine how it may be in Alternia, borderline slavery in some cases.

Yeah, Jake is a good Kid, he has his issues but he tries his best. All of the Kids try their best, really.
So is Eridan's strong disbelief in magic, saying it can all be explained by science part of him being a Hope player? It sounds a little Rage-y when he tries to convince other's that science is more true than magic, but that could be part of his Prince role and also his personality in general.
Curiously though, rather than trying to debunk Magic, he attempts to explain it through Science, he’s not open to new ideas or the tearing down of his own, rather he’s applying his own set of ideals to other things so he doesn’t have to value another opinion. Shrouding himself in his belief, and not seeking out the truth, which is, as we know, that Magic absolutely does exist. That sounds Hopey.
I've been wondering about the fan troll art contest. Because of this, the game won't release for another month or so, depending on how long it takes the team to coordinate with the artists and put their fan troll. Also, I wonder if they would be at all connected to the story. Say somebody's fan troll is a Lime Blood, how would they cohere that to the story, as they are supposed to be extinct. Also, would the two Kick starter fan trolls be in the game?
The Kickstarter Fantrolls were announced to maybe be in the game back in the 3D days, so it’s possible they may still show up, or at least have a little homage to them? No idea. Chances are, though, that the Fantroll is going to be for Act 3 rather than Act 2. They also mentioned that the winner of the contest would be working alongside the Team, so how they fit in the story will be a collective effort to make it as good as possible.
Also as a side note, I am one of the winners of the contest thus far! So fingers crossed! :3c

Skaia doesn’t influence, it only Sees and Knows. As we have already talked about today, like a big blue perv. Furthermore, the Clouds are gone after the Ultimate Alchemy, so no future visions for you. “Communing” with Skaia really sounds like simply having a Light Player- Likely a Seer or Mage of Light, and still I’m not sure that counts as ‘communing’.
What if the Beforan Trolls had the ability to breed like humans, but after the Condesce took over the planet post-scratch she found it disgusting and cut it out entirely?
Again, it doesn’t work like that, Condy tried to make Humans reproduce and have a caste system like Trolls, and failed, it’s not something she can make happen.
What if: Two trolls lusii made the same sound for a last name and now they have a really close bond because of that reason at first but slowly they like each others' personalities, and the do this even though different blood colors (orange&teal)

God no, Breath is Detachment, she’s incredibly dutiful and attached to her role as a Mailwoman, if anything she’d be Blood, and even then I’m not sure if Blood is what fits her best. Life, Time, Space, Blood or Hope may be the most likely ones, hmmmm.
