What are your thoughts on Damara's sexual language?
Hoo boy. This is a difficult one to answer because there’s a lot to talk about when it comes to Damara, and I personally think she both means it and doesn’t mean it at the same time. Okay, let me explain- Also obviously, this is just my headcanons, but!
A lot of people feel like Damara’s words are a shield. She’s intentionally trying to make people uncomfortable, she’s mean, but deep inside she’s still broken, grieving, and using that as an outlet. Now this is not entirely untrue! Damara knows most people cannot understand her, and she uses that to her advantage to make them uncomfortable! However, I personally don’t think she uses it that much as a shield.
First of all, let’s separate all of Damara’s Speech into Three different versions. There’s “East Beforan Newbie″, there’s “Knows East Beforan″, and then there’s “Broken English”.
“East Beforan Newbie” is what she uses the most. This is the way she speaks when she talks to someone who cannot accurately translate her speech. It’s overtly obscene and over the top to the extreme. Incredibly NSFW.
“Broken English” is what she uses when she’s talking with someone that doesn’t know her. Namely, with the Humans. However, seeing what we know of her, she’s pretty much faking all of it. Chances are she can speak completely proper English, maybe with an accent, as Meenah implies, but not as broken as she does, and definitely not as ‘gentle’ and ‘good natured’. She basically just tries to earn their trust so she can sneak around. Devious.
Finally, there’s “Knows East Beforan”, and this is the type of speech that should be focused on. This is when she speaks to Rufioh, and a couple of times with Meenah. Here, she actually attempts to keep a coherent conversation, and as such, a few traits begin to manifest themselves. First, she’s not as overly sexual- But she’s STILL noticeably more sexual than most other characters in the comic. She’s not shy about demanding ‘sexual favors’ from Rufioh even though he can understand her, nor does she shy away from asking if Rufioh wants her to seduce Horuss, or from groping Meenah. In fact, by her grin and the reactions of the Pyropes whenever she approaches Mituna or Karkat, and her subsequent distaste for being blocked by them, we start to see a bit more into her nature. There’s also, however, the fact that, before she goes for the seduction strategy with Horuss, she asks Rufioh if he wants her to kill him again. And of course, she has pledged allegiance to Lord English, and openly states how he wants to bring him to destroy everything and consume the souls of those she dislikes.
On top of that, there’s something Rufioh says. See, Aranea implies that Damara was as meek as gentle as could be, before Rufioh broke her heart, and then Meenah’s abuse and some likely influence by Kurloz made her snap. She always made it seem like it was sudden, but Rufioh mentions her having always been super jealous and possessive. Given Aranea also finds Kurloz to be mostly harmless, this actually checks out with her being completely blind to the true evil that lurks within the Dancestor party.
Overall? It seems Damara was always a bit more clingy and jealous than she seemed, but while in a happy relationship with Rufioh, she held those tendencies back. When he started to cheat on her, though, that jealousy grew more and more intense, and Meenah only added fire to the flames! Eventually, Meenah, and Kurloz manipulating her to be in LE’s side, eventually broke her completely, and she went on a complete rampage- And here’s the thing. She is broken- But she is not broken down with heart-wrenching sadness inside of her. She’s got anger inside of her, she’s got a burning distaste for those that wronged her. She said they ‘all would get what they deserved’ when she caused the Scratch, she talks Meenah about how the Ghost Army is fated to be devoured by Lord English, she pretty much rejoices in the promise of Chaos and Destruction. And, while not as sexual as she makes herself out to be with most others? There’s still a notable hint of perversion and deviancy to her attitude, which along her disregard for others and her now violent tendences, is an extremely dangerous combination.
Damara is a sad character, she was broken, manipulated, and left unchecked, but her attitude isn’t there to cover up a girl who wants to go back. Her perverted words are actually covering someone even more fucked up inside. Again, this is just my headcanon on her- I know a lot of people feel it’s more of a cover-up to her being still hurt but. She genuinely seems to not give a fuck, about anything anymore, to have embraced nihilism and destruction. The things she says are meant to make people uncomfortable, but if someone actually took her up on the offer, I don’t think she’d have much trouble actually living up to her words.
We do, however, see a single God Tier Damara in the Ghost Army! Implying that at least a version of her got a Happy Ending and managed to overcome Lord English’ pull to face him instead!
So how come the Alpha Kid's session was fine w/ out a time and space player? Was it because of a connection with the beta kids session?
It wasn’t fine, it was Void and unwinnable and didn’t even have a Battlefield. They only won because Jade brought the Lands and Battlefield with her from the Beta Session.
Do you have kankri headcanons (like you had for damara) that you could tell us about? Because my mental image of him is just “I want someone to talk to about my interests and would like everyone to be good to eachother so that no one gets hurt” but I’ve seen lots of different things about him so I’m not sure
The issue with Kankri is that he’s very pushy of his viewpoint to the point where he doesn’t consider any other viewpoint. He hyperfocuses on things he perceives to be issues, and glosses over other peoples’ struggles, he calls everyone out on the most minor of harmless little bits of speech, but then straight up insults people to their face and twists it around in a really douchey way, and evidently doesn’t even know himself too much given his obvious feelings for Latula that he pretty much refuses to bring up while also creepily talking about in-depth.
So basically, he means ‘well’? Except his view of what’s right and better for others is skewed and very centered around his point of view, and he’s too stubborn to realize that.
Its seems like a Rogue of Light and a Knight of Void have similar powers. A KoV using the Void to hide themselves from opposing threats and a RoL redirecting the attention to a different target to prevent being caught. I'd love to hear your input :0c
Not necessarily, but they COULD have really similar powers! Specially with light and Void which seem to have a stronger duality. But a specific Rogue of Light may not use their powers like that, and neither may a Knight of Void, so it would be a case-by-case basis.
So, out of curiosity, what would happen to a session if the number of Derse/Prospit dreamers was uneven? Like if there were 3 Derse dreamers and only 1 Prospit. Would that even be possible?
What do you think about Space = Always Prospit Time = Always Derse? Some people even said that if you're a Derse Space or a Prospit Time, the session is doomed (Which is kind of stupid, like what?). I mean, isn't sburb a whole challenge? So, Space being in derse would basically be the Space player trying to prove themselves a Hero or trying to overcome the Dersites desire to eliminate them. I'm sorry, but this concept is so dumb! sburb is a whole challenge and it's gameplay is hyperflexible.
I mean, I see no reason why Space being Derse or Time being Prospit would lead to an arbitrary end- Space and Time are needed for a reason, a volcano is needed for a reason, but the Derse-Prospit Alignment has no bearing on anything important. So you can be Space Derse and Time Prospit, yeah!

Classpects aren’t ‘meant to challenge you to grow’, Classpects indicate innate tendencies of your personality. Of course, any struggle you have will be intrinsically tied to this, whether it’s because you embrace those tendencies too much, or because you try to resist them when you should be embracing them. Everyone has their own path towards growth, and the Classpect merely indicates a balance of forces that should lead to your most ‘you’ version of yourself, the one your soul is more attuned to, the one you’re most satisfied with.
would it be possibly for nongodtiers (karkat terezi and kanaya ) to become godteirs after the game? i saw a headcanon once that roxy could be able to conjure up some quest slabs for them therefore letting them godtier is they die on it
Hard to tell, chances are they cannot quite ascend to God Tierhood in any normal way- However they don’t exactly NEED to. As we see with some, namely Terezi, and John pre-Ascension, non-God Tiers can still use their powers if they train them enough, and if they didn’t get immortality from the door, as some people headcanon, the Dave + Jane Fraymotif idea is still there, so it’s not like they’re in any hurry to go God Tier.
Question: for the role of the maid how was jane different? in the role of the maid it says maids tend to be different from their peers? how’s that with jane?
This is a bit of a misunderstanding on what I tried to convey, but she also does have some major differences from everyone in the group- Then again everyone has their own major differences that set them apart.
First, the full quote on their description is, “They tend to differ from their peers. Generally alienated from the norm in some way or other, they struggle with what fate has in store for them, and fight to liberate themselves in order to be happy.“ Jane is the Crockercorp Heiress- She receives Death Threats and has Assassination Attempts made upon her, she’s being conditioned through subliminal messaging to become the new Heiress, and in ways, is kind of trapped, bound, to this fate of a Heiress until the moment she can overcome Condy and make Crockercorp her own, on her own terms. She deviates from the norm, and struggles with the way her life is shaped by this deviation.
Aside from that though, Jane IS the Cynic of the group- She doesn’t quite believe the weird stuff they’re about to experience until she actually starts to experience it herself, and can be quite stubborn in that way. Additionally, everyone else had their relatives murdered by Condy, whereas Jane is her Heiress. So there’s that.
What might be some good aspects relating to speed and adrenaline? I'm thinking Life, Time and Space are good ones but I would like a second opinion.
Adrenaline, there could be some associations with Life, but I’m not quite sure. Speed though, Breath being tied to Motion seems like a pretty solid tie, although Space can manipulate momentum.
If your dreamself die on a quest but your original body is still alive does the dreamself godtier ?And if so what happen to the original body ?
Until your original body dies, your Dreamself is not your ‘Main Body’, it only becomes your Main Body when you Ascend or when you die and get Kissed. As such, this copy by itself wouldn’t be able to Ascend in your stead. Now, if you died on the Quest Crypt with your Dreamself still alive, THAT’s an intriguing question. Would you ascend normally? Would your Dreamself just die while you Ascend? I heavily doubt you could have both a God Tier body AND a Dream Self active at the same time, that sounds like cheating the system.
Is it possible that Caliborn and Calliope weren’t actually the aspect that they were assigned? What I mean is- since they were the only two players, is it possible that their aspect was compromised so they they would be able to play the game?
Nope. The game gives 0 fucks about whether your Session is viable or not. Besides, Caliborn had no intention of playing a 2-Player Session, Skaia would’ve known that, and not even bothered to make the Session viable if it wanted to.

It would only go God Tier IF it’s not been too long. When you die, your Dream Self starts to die too, slowly getting the same wounds you have. If you take too long, it will die, so you need to either be lucky and have it put on your Quest Bed, or kissed so the Dream Self can heal and take over.
What if a chronically ill person plays sburb and dies of their illness shortly after entering? What's the timeframe for getting their body to their Quest Bed, if there are no "injuries" for the dreamself to take on?
I mean, death itself, not breathing, heart stopping, is in itself an ‘injury’ so to say. So that would still slowly happen. Your Dream Self also starts to get the wounds IMMEDIATELY after being placed on the Quest Bed, by the way- But I don’t think there’s a canon example of how quickly the wounds are inflicted outside of the Quest Bed, but both John and Vriska’s Dream Self got pretty messed up quickly immediately before Ascending. Roxy hesitated to smooch Jane’s bloody deceased body for a while until Jake kissed Dirk’s head and he doofed her away to do it himself, so there’s at least a couple of minutes. It seems like it may be a relatively short window of time though.

You could certainly make the Familiar into something like that- Knights make good familiars as like, people involved in someone’s life, and their own mind or a facet of themselves would work. Similarly, a Witch of Heart may make something AR-like as a Familiar.

… Huh. That’s a good question and I think- Nnnnno? A tentative no, merely because, if not revived, the Dream Self doesn’t become the ‘Main Body’ and therefor wouldn’t count for Ascension? But really it’s ambiguous so it may still count.

I’ve not answered the ‘Maid of Doom’ specifically, but I have argued that going Grimdark kind of switches your alignment to Void, if it’s Horrorterror Corruption, or merely strengthens your ties to your Aspect, if it’s just thematic Grimdarkness and not Horrorterror-related. Class-switching is rarer and can be a case by case basis.

Let’s see… So, unless there’s some way to bring Ghosts back to life in massive amounts:
-All of the Dancestors are Dead. Just like, straight-up Dead, we’ve actually not seen them alive at any point except for Meenah’s very brief flashback.
-Tavros died, but is back as a Sprite, albeit allergic to himself.
-A version of Sollux is half-dead, for whatever that may count.
-Nepeta is Dead, but she still lives on as part of Davepeta.
-Terezi is not Dead, but she’s on a journey to find Vriska and wandering the collapsing Paradox Space, so she’s at risk of not returning.
-Vriska is probably Dead, in the Black Hole, but there’s a chance that lucky Son of a 8itch is still around. (Vriska) is totally Dead though, always been.
-Equius died, but is back as a Sprite. We know he will later become part of Lord English, however we also know there’s two possible versions of ARquius- Game Over and Post-Retcon, so just like how there are two Nannasprites, it’s possible even with one fated to become part of LE, the other will still be around.
-Gamzee is, somehow, still alive. He was sucked by a Black Hole and ended up in Caliborn’s Land, to eventually become part of Lord English. The leftover half of his body may still be alive for all we know, really.
-Eridan is dead, he didn’t come back as a Sprite Post-Retcon, and given how much he hated his shared existence with Sollux, it’s likely he didn’t even board LOWAS.
-Feferi is dead, she didn’t come back as a Sprite Post-Retcon.

I mean, not in the game? It’s Paradox Space, not a SBURB Session that is collapsing into the Black Hole- It’s bigger than that. It doesn’t matter what happens to ‘Skaia’ individually- There’s a million different Skaias for each Session, and in its ultimate form, it’s basically just pond in which the Genesis Frog croaks. I’d be worried about the Frog being dragged into the Black Hole at most? But I also feel it may be a) Out of Reach for long enough, b) The Black Hole may not consume EVERYTHING beyond a point, or c) Time Shenanigans, where Time passes a lot slower within the frog, so even if it gets dragged into a Black Hole eventually, by then millions of years will have passed and there’ll have been a new SBURB Session that spawns a new Universe or something.
If your body is completely destroyed when you die and no one can kiss it, will the dreamself take over or die ?
That’s a really good question. I would usually say ‘Tough luck, you’re totally dead’, BUT there are hints that this is actually NOT the case. Aradia was Vaporized, but her Dreamself is still alive- Pretty much in a coma, but alive on the Slab- Actually, it’s dubious if this means she counts as the ‘main’ body because it’s her only body before entry, or if it does mean that a Dreamself will become God Tier on the Slab even without being the ‘Main body’. Additionally, Aradiabot blew up after Ascending- And yeah, she’s a bot, but that does seem to imply whatever happens to your body if your Dreamself ascends alone, if it’s possible outside of weird and specific circumstances like those, is not pretty.
Alternatively? Use the next valid fantasy revival trope. No kiss possible? A tear fallen on the spot you died on will awaken your Dream Self.
Would you say that Rage and Light are similar aspects? I feel like both are concerned with facts in their own way but I wonder if you have your own take on it.
Not too similar, the way they approach the ‘truth’ is totally different too. Light is concerned with factual information- It seeks to erase the lack of information. Rage, on the other hand, isn’t concerned with the facts themselves, but the fact they believe there’s more to the story that’s not being told- It seeks to erase the lies they are being told. One is for the sake of the information, the other is based around the beliefs themselves.

I mean, they seem Aspect-related. Other than that? Go wild really. Familiars are hard to come up with not because they’re limiting but because. Just. What do you use. It could be anything. It could be someone, something. It could be an entity they worship or they could be their best friend. It could be an Eldritch Abomination or their Pet Dog. :Ic
About the horror terrors switching your aspect to void when you go grimdark- what if you're already a void hero? For some reason I thought it would switch your class and aspect, or give you the opposite aspect. Revokutionaryduelist brings it up in a video they did about how xefros is the page of rage, and when rose went grimdark she became witch of void
The thing to note about Rose acting like a Witch of Void when she goes Grimdark, it’s that she’s not being ‘inverted’- She’s switching to the Role of a Witch because she ALREADY had the tendency of being Witch-like. The Horrorterrors toy with that little spark of regret of hers, for not having acted before, for not having looked for her mother, and feed into it to force her into a more Active Role. Class switching CAN happen when you’re corrupted, but it isn’t an ‘inversion’, you can switch to pretty much any Class as long as it makes sense thematically. Likewise, Horrorterrors switch your alignment to Void because… They are Void. So if you channel their Power, you’re Void. If you’re already Void? You’re even more Void. Just an hypercharge of Void Power.
hmm, yeah I imagine time passes pretty slowly in the frog. I mean, basically immediately after creating Universe B, Bec Noir came out and wrecked the trolls' shit, and after what, like.. a day or so? he destroyed the universe, so all of human history, and years in the future was basically just a couple days or less from outside the universe
It’s hard to tell if it was ‘just a couple of days’ from outside, or if rather, there’s just no correlation to the Time outside with the Time inside- Just like how Trolls can pick any point in the Timeline to Troll in, because they have all of its History laid there before their eyes. In a similar fashion, post-Credits, Jack Noir had barely spent a little while regrouping with the Felt, and in the Frog it had been already 1000+ years since the Kids won the game.
what if when a god tier fights their inverse (ex. Mage of Blood and Heir of Breath), their abilities actually cancel out so it always ends in a stalemate or maybe it's the opposite and things like fraymotifs between the two are actually stronger. This is unlikely but it's just a thought
Fraymotifs may be stronger, but given the many different ways you can use the powers, even the ‘inverse’ Classpects, I don’t quite think they’d nullify each other entirely.
Traits, interests, foreshadowing… It depends from character to character, and some are really obscure- Like ‘arsenic’ for Nepeta is because, Arsenic is the 33rd Element on the Periodic Table.
I have a headcanon that Jane and Roxy had to teach rose and jade about bras since they didn't get the chance to learn about them when they started playing sburb
Jade is a Nuclear Physicist that has lived alone in an island for around a decade. Rose psychoanalizes her friends at 13 years old. Ignoring the fact I personally headcanon Jade to give few fucks about clothing articles in general, I’m pretty sure they can figure things out themselves. Also, Roxy grew alone in a Carapace Colony in Future Earth, she’d be as likely to not know how to use bras as Jade or Rose.

Expanding upon the Knight of Breath too, since I don’t quite like the description I gave back then, they seem like a righteous bunch. Serving through Heroic Acts and through their own Actions, seem like the kind of people that’d step up for any situation- Yet at the same time, Serving and Detachment, they may be like the Wandering Shonen Protagonist. Just like, this completely stranger that has no business whatsoever arrives, fixes every single problem ever and leaves as if they had just done nothing at all. Serving Motion and Through Motion, and Wind and Through Wind, gives a sense of them manipulating the air and being able to speed up fast, perhaps mobilize others to do stuff if we combine Motion + Heroic Leadership? Breath is a pretty expansive Aspect in that it’s more literal than others but holds a lot of symbolic meaning as well, so it’s really versatile in what you can make it mean.
Those are them individually, but differences, specifically, I don’t know if I could be able to give a sense of their differences more than separate descriptions and what the Canon Aspect Descriptions themselves already tell? Either way, hope this helps!
Why does Damara talk about LE? To tie her into the Handmaiden? Or does she actually serve him?
Kurloz is an avid follower of English and number one source of like very problem in the Alpha Session. Aranea means that she suspects there was someone else aside from Meenah manipulating Damara before she snapped, and Kurloz seems to be that someone, since she does serve him. She initiates the Scratch knowing it’ll bring LE forth into the newly Scratched Universe, mentioning how they’ll all ‘get what they deserve’, she nonchalantly talks about drawing him to the Bubble to exterminate people, and how Meenah’s Army is fated to lose against him. Rufioh himself also tells her to chill down because ‘what if everyone else knew the shit you say about wanting to serve him…?”

Can a person more than one aspect or class? I only ask because any time I take the aspect quiz I seem to always get life, heart, and time and as for classes, I seem to only ever be a slyph, and a knight.
You’re a nuanced, living person, people don’t just fit exactly into a single cookie cutter mold.
