Where are the sacrificial slabs located?
Prospit and Derse’s Moons.
Prospit and Derse’s Moons.
The inside, deep within. They’re at the core.
Oh. Fair. Still I think a single, shallow gut-stab may not be that big of a deal for a Human either? We don’t know how deep it was or what it hit and we also don’t know how long it took Karkat to get medical attention.
Remember the Troll-Beta Kid-Alpha Kid Session Merger is like, unheard of in Paradox Space, so it would be less than common.
Given Davesprite shows Sprites can Bleed they can likely Die, but they seem able to regenerate over time, soooo. You’d have to mess them up good.
It’s because of the way we work with the active-passive dichotomy around here. We’ve seen the most Passive Player use her powers in an incredibly direct and active way, while the most Active Player used his setting up an extremely passive chain of events to benefit him. This is deliberate too, showcasing the most Active Player merely benefited by their powers, and the most Passive Player actively using them, showcases the weirdness of the system.
However, there’s one thing that checks out with passiveness and activeness, and that is, who the action is meant for. The Greater Good, Others, falls under the ‘passive’ spectrum, and the Self, falls under the ‘active’ spectrum. As such for example, Vriska disregards others with her luck and information and relevancy manipulation, to benefit just herself. Feferi makes the Bubbles and cannot fathom why anyone wouldn’t want to dream with Eldritch Horrors- Her intention is good but her means are questionable. Likewise too, Jade is sweet and caring and loves her friends, but her suddenly blocking out all Temporal Shenanigans with her Password System, setting everything up without saying what exactly it was, even during the letters not wanting to spoil John, her just imposing her Dreamself on Bec without a regard for him OR her dead self. Hell she even explicitly states how she hates how Selfish Jadesprite is, and how she hates it extra-hard because she can see her as a flaw of her own.
On the other hand, even while using his powers actively, John uses his powers to put out the fire in his Land that saves the Salamanders, he uses them to dig the Tumor for Rose… Dave doesn’t even need to be explained, him and Rose, both of them are incredibly Selfless to the point of struggling to let the other go in their stead on a suicide mission. In fact, it’s only when Rose goes Grimdark, and acts out the role of a Witch, an active Class, that she’s driven by selfish revenge, which leads her to attacking Jack.
As such, the Knight-Page duality marks a really strange dynamic compared to the other Classes. The Knight SEEMS Active, because of the way they use their powers, and the Page SEEMS Passive, given they’re sort of pushed back and need to earn their potential. But Knights are defenders. They serve those around them, help them. They put on a facade to mask their insecurities- Dave, Karkat, Latula, try to seem reliable and powerful leaders to the point of suppressing the flaws they struggle with, and may end up pushing themselves too hard for the sake of others. Pages, on the other side? They don’t appear to do much, but they are the ones being served. Even against his own will, Tavros gets Vriska to ‘help him become better’, and gathers the Ghost Army exclusively to rub it in Vriska’s face, he didn’t even want to lead it to battle or do anything with it! Jake forces Jane, by his own mildly intentional aloofness, to be a third wheel in his relationship with Dirk and vent to her constantly until she’s burnt out. Horuss is keeping Rufioh in a relationship he doesn’t want to be in because he’s just too imperceptive to realize he doesn’t want to be with him anymore. Their actions, conscious and otherwise, benefit themselves.
Ultimately, Knights are defenders, protectors, servers of those around them, whereas Pages are sheltered and trained, empowered, to one day grow up and become more powerful than the Knight training them. And in Homestuck, this comparison still applies- With the Knights we see doing all they can to ensure everyone is okay, while the Pages are sort of pushed slowly forward by others until they can show their true potential, at which point, even by other definitions of Active, they become a powerful active force to be reckoned with.
I mean, Princes and Bards are like, two of the easiest Classes we’ve been shown? Along with Thieves and Rogues, they’re the two pairs we have 100% canonically confirmed are Active-Passive pairs, and we know their role- Destroyers, and Stealers respectively.
For more specifics about the Prince-Bard relation, you should check optimisticDuelist/revolutionaryDuelist/Taz’s exposition about Princes, Bards and their connection to Royalty as the unifying myth for both.
Jadesprite was Jade’s Dreamself. Davesprite was a Doomed non-Dreamself of his.
Thief’s counterpart is canonically Rogue, just as Prince and Bard are canonically confirmed. All the other pairings are speculation, but Seers and Mages both have to do with getting knowledge and visions, for example. I believe those are the only two canonically confirmed pairings. We also know Seers are Passive, Witches are Active, and I believe Sylphs being Passive is also confirmed. But the rest is all theories, which is why everyone has their own views on what Classes are counterparts and which ones are Active/Passive.
It’s likely singular Life or Heart Players could already create living creatures, hell even other Aspects too, depends on the Class and what they’re doing exactly.
If Aradia’s Ascension is anything to go by, if your Dreamself Ascends, your normal Self dies. Even if it didn’t die, whatever happens to your Original Body, it stops counting as your Main Body- Ascension makes the Ascended self your ‘main’ self, and your ‘main’ self is the one who has to die on the Quest Bed, which would make it impossible for you to ascend a second time. That is if Paradox Space even allowed the circumstance of you and your Dream Self actually being in the Moon and allowed to ascend normally, fate likes to pull some pretty rough stuff at times.
You feel it! Sort of. Through your understanding of Aspects and Classes, and the way you identify with the concepts they convey and the characters that share these Classes/Aspects, there may be one that fits you better than the rest.
I mean… Likely not? They’re not part of a Session with Quest Beds and Dreamselves anymore, chances are they won’t be able to but honestly who knows, there may be a Third Bed at Earth’s Core for all we know.
Likewise, chances are nnnnno? But there’s no precedent, soooo who knows.
Some people headcanon going through the door grants you Immortality, although I don’t quite buy into that headcanon myself. Either way, I made a really nice comic regarding this concern a while ago. Classpect Powers and Alchemy Stuff can most definitely help with that.
Yeah but they went God Tier on their Quest Bed/Sacrificial Slabs- It’s just that the Moon was outside of the Session, but they pretty much carried the Game Constructs from their Session with themselves.
Yeah! What I think they meant by that and what I meant by that is like… Their Session is long left behind and dead. Their Moons were Destroyed. I don’t know if there’s any way to replicate a Quest Bed outside of a Session, and even if they did, I don’t know if just a random Quest Bed that didn’t originally belong to any Session or that belonged to a different Session would even work.
Oh my god that would be the stupidest way to die and not Ascend. Again, no precedent, whether Slabs/Beds are interchangeable among an Aspect or not, is kind of never touched upon sooooo.
In the end when it comes to 100% fanon speculation, it’s up to you.
What do you mean “Gamzee in the Beta Timeline” exactly? He’s had Cal around before any sort of split I can think of, after Kanaya reparied it.
If you wake up as them, I guess yeah! Although you seem to disappear and return to the moon- Or the Battlefield if there’s no moon anymore, if you’ve already woken up. Soooo. You’d likely have to do the trip between the Moon and your Land eeevery single time. Or you can use one of the Transportalizers on the Moon to the Land now that I think about it.
Likely not, Spritifying seems to give whatever you shoved in sort of a life independent of you.
I. Mean yeah you could do that. You could also manually do that while awake.
Rather than the facts of reality themselves, I’d say it is the spread of said information- For reality alteration though, Space or Time can be two good bets. But who knows really.
The sacrificial slab. Quest Bed is more complicated because you need the Battlefield counterpart and your still-living Dreamself.
From a biological standpoint, like, actually doing the do, it’s hard to say if they’re compatible enough… BUT through the magic of Ectobiology, it’d seem Humans, Trolls AND even Carapaces are genetically compatible enough to make mixes in a laboratory.
So far Troll powers seem bound to their caste. Mutation is just a shift from a color to another- Karkat’s Lime to Candy Red, with no other effects as far as we can tell.
The Mother Grub IS that Giant Moth. As long as there’s a Mother Grub that’s able to lay eggs, things should be fine.
When Trolls blush, their saliva, their eye color when they become adults and their irises fill in, tears, and probably just every bodily fluid in general is Blood-color-tinted. However as long as they’re not actively blushing, it’d seem Troll skin… Or… Chitin? Doesn’t show the color through.
He wouldn’t. His dream is that maybe some day he’d be such an amazing warrior people would overlook his color mutation. Chances are he’d be snuffed on the spot to gather his blood for, I don’t know. Ultra expensive royal Lipstick for Condy.
Lime Blood Lifespan. You cannot live longer than a Fuchsia normally does, Fuchsias are practically biologically immortal. Some people assume a Limeblood’s lifespan would be around the same as a Human’s for this.
Chances are they find out at some point during the Session? Karkat isn’t exactly good at keeping secrets, nor is Terezi. I would be surprised if Karkat ended the combat with the Black King with no bleeding wounds.
Her name’s Rosemary.
Definitely Karkat locking himself into Trolling John backwards because he messed up by going to the very end of his Timeline and didn’t subsequently jump back to the beginning, fulfilling his own circle of stupidity in which he’s friendlier the less John knows about him, and is angrier the further ahead John goes.
Not really? Kanaya holds a cute Jade grub in the credits but then they warp ahead. They do take care of like, thousands of those things by the time they’re two years into being rulers of the world. But those are born naturally, not through ectobiology.
Like one or the other! No mixes, just Trolls or Humans.
John was never a Leader of people, he doesn’t see himself as a Leader and he doesn’t ‘lead’ them directly. But he inspires the others, his sickening optimism in the face of adversity keeps Rose going to find ways to not face oblivion, Dave looks up to him as a Heroic figure that keeps pushing forward, he fits definitely in the definition of leadership given by the canon Breathbound description.
Jane never got to quite lead the Session though, sadly- On one hand, Dirk mentioned about being the puppeteer in the shadows, letting her do her thing while he took care of making sure everything was alright, buuuut she ended up in an awkward position with Jake, and Dirk is a complete wreck of a human being, bless him. In the end it was Roxy who led them, and in a similar way to John too, she was the one that got her shit together and tried to keep them going when everything was falling apart, and Dirk recognizes this and looks up to her immensely.
Only if a Troll, if they’re a Human then it’s 4 letters.
Unless it’s in a walkaround, I haven’t found instances of ‘pissblood’ being muttered, however, Meenah’s Interfishin confirms even Troll Urine is colored like their blood.
Literally everyt Karkat insult is the best insult ever.
Yeah.
Oh god yes it was the communist conversation.
There’s no genetic variation there, wouldn’t that sort of be a clone?
Sprites have Ghost Butts and Ghost Blood, I don’t see why not Ghost DNA.
If the Troll had another Classpect, there may be a conflict of God Tier and straight up count as another entity at that point, leaving you unable to Ascend.
Your Sprite Squared doesn’t count as your Dreamself anymore. A Sprite Squared is, by definition, the Ultimate Self of everything it’s been prototyped with. As such, it wouldn’t just be ‘your Dreamself’, it would be every single iteration of yourself packed into a single entity. The embodiment of the potential of what you could be.
She just does it like that because she’s cute and it’s an easy naming convention for them. As far as I can tell.
Listen, why don’t Carapacians have a mouth? How do they talk?

They do.
I put it through Google Translate, then isolated the individual sentences to get a more accurate reading of what it said.
ちょっと聞くだけで、なぜカラパキアンに口がないのですか?彼らはどのように話すのですか? ->
Just a moment to hear, why does not Kalapakian have a mouth? How do they talk? ->
“Just a moment to ask“, “Why does not Carapacian have a mouth?“ ”
How do they talk?”
Google Translate can be messy at times but if you know how to work around it, it’s a good tool.
Why would I want to be a seizure ghost that muddles my current being to reach out to every instance of me where I fucked up?
