i’m kinda interested on how the powers of a thief of doom would be like thief’s that steal doom for themelseves? wouldn’t that role kinda be like a rouge?:o

I’ve talked about their powers here, but “Wouldn’t that role kinda be like a rogue”- That’s. Kind of the point. Rogues and Thieves are both stealers. Passive or Active, they have very similar potential.

Would Rage players generally be "undying" like Gamzee? I'm looking at you; Xefros, Nikhee, Charun and Lynera

Nnnnot really but, with their confusing bullshit stuff they may outlast certain things that’d kill others through sheer force of will maybe? Like an adrenaline rush keeping them going for a bit longer. Gamzee is kind of. An intense case of plot shield.

Rewatching [S] Make her pay makes me wonder how did the explosion of the Scratch's Magic Cueball damaged Vriska's left eye. I mean physically speaking it's too far from the eye to even reach it. A possibility could be she could still be peeking at the ball when it exploded

“Too far.”

Why is Tavros's planet Land of SAND and Zephyr? And why Feferi is Land of Dew and GLASS?

Shrug? Cool aesthetics, there may be other more specific reasons to their character and stuff but, why couldn’t they be Sand and Glass?

Can we say that Just deaths are associated with Derse and Heroic deaths are associated with Prospit?

Not necessarily at all.

I have a feeling that - at least in Hussie’s mind - he created the lands with one part relating to the person’s aspect (ex: WIND and shade, heat and CLOCKWORK, LIGHT and rain, frost and FROGS), with the other part relating to their big quest they needed to complete (meaning that the sand part in “sand and zephyr” might be hinting at a sandstorm Tavros would need to control/all of the consorts on “dew and glass” have turned to glass and Feferi needs to revive them). Idk but It’s cool to theorize!

Yeah, one part is definitely related to the Aspect, however the other part heavily depends. For example, for John’s, he does have to get rid of the clouds and free the Fireflies, tying his Quest to Shade, but Dave’s Quest originally was conceived as amber gumming up the Cogs of his Land, and then completely dropped in favor of a more Excalibur-esque sword-retrieval and Hephaestus-talking sort of Quest. You could argue maybe he was supposed to use heat to remove the amber? But at the same time, that doesn’t sound too Knight of Time-y, and the place’s already blazing hot with lava everywhere.

Tavros, we don’t know his quest exactly, but it seemed like he was making progress by communing with the Underlings and solving puzzles. Communing with a lot of monsters was honing Tavros’ psychic powers, and it fits his role as a Page, to have a bunch of things serving him advance his personal quest. Unless there was something to do with, maybe, using wind to power the windmills in his Land and produce energy to solve other puzzles, the ‘Sand’ part of his Land still seems wholly aesthetic. Feferi’s Glass does however likely have something to do with Agency- Fishes are trapped, confined in glass bowls, so that’d fit the theme of breaking through for a Witch of Life, manipulating the agency to be in or out of the glass bowls. That being said, it’s also kind of a moot point because, you know, Feferi is fucking RIPPED and could simply jump several feet through the air directly from her Hive to the First Gate, from inside water.

Also then you have stuff like LOLCAT, and let’s be fair, Nepeta’s Land is super cute, but it’s pretty much a meme land.

Do you think pure red eyes is typically what blind trolls look like, or it’s just for Terezi and Mindfang since their eyes were burned?

It’s hard to say- Sollux and Folykl both have blacked-out eyes, but they are Goldblood Psionics that are blind! So that could be because their eyes were already a solid color. Mindfang and Terezi are most certainly because they were burnt out. It’s hard to say how just a… Normally-blinded Troll would look.

Honestly I find it surprising the explosion of the Cueball only damaged her eye and arm. For something so powerful, that was a pretty small explosion. Even then, it probably would have wrecked the entire lefts side of her torso and face.

Well, this is First Guardian powers we’re talking about. Scratch could’ve likely nuked the entirety of Vriska’s Hive if he wanted, but he didn’t want to kill her- Just punish her, and in turn, pit her against Terezi to fuel their feud. If anything, the fact he inflicted a wound that paralleled that of Mindfang’s when she faced Redglare is most likely intentional on his part, to feed into the Karmic Fate passed down by their Ancestors.

Normal, blind troll eyes could just look like Remele’s right eye.

A possibility, but also she’s a cerulean with weird eyes, so we can’t even tell that 100% for sure. Maybe we’ll see with Konyyl!

Where is the tweet about trolls having two dicks

It was an answer to a Tumblr or Formspring question by Hussie, and it was just a silly little thing he said to tease the Fandom about weird alien headcanons.

But where is it

Deleted, Hussie deleted his Formspring and Tumblr. There are archive blogs with stuff like that but you’d have to look for them manually.

Has it ever been canonically proven by Hussie that Trolls have boobs or is it just fanon that made its way into the comic via the additional artists that Hussie has gotten to draw something

You can see Porrim’s cleavage in her sprite, and ARquius almost explained what Troll Breasts are for since they don’t produce milk, but Dirk was having none of it. We’ll never know because the only person who ever wanted to explain it was the creepy sweaty horse bro no one wants to listen to.

I have a headcannon that all trolls have breasts but it's a social convention that the male trolls wear special binders to hide them when they reach a certain age

Do cherubs shed their skin like snakes due to their alternate form is that of a snake.

No idea, fun headcanons.

Could a Space player, blind from birth, create a genesis frog without the concept of vision(light?)?

I mean… How would that affect the Universe? If you can find something to do with that concept, sure, but otherwise who knows. That being said, Aspects are building blocks of Reality, you need all of them- Even if it lacks to an extent, there has to be SOME.

How would you tell apart the detachment of a breath player and that of a space player?? I just read what space was in the official test and what it says has many traits of what i thought breath was? And now im a little confused /:

Space knows to yield, stop, and go away. They’re not detached from the issue- They simply know when it’s best for the overall situation to let things go wrong before they can go better. Breath doesn’t ‘stop’ or ‘go away’ because they’re waiting for the right time. They’re just doing their own thing, ignorant of the big picture in a lot of cases, and if they even intervene into it they’re more likely to stumble into it while chasing their own personal goals.

What would have happened if Caliborn and Calliope had played their session together?

He’d have likely still killed her because he’s a dick.

Can a person who likes to ykno draw and write and paint and all that still be a breath player instead of space? If their detachment feels more like breath and not the one space players feel?

Again, calling detachment to both Breath stuff and the potential Space-y isolationism is kind of wrong, but also, of course you can, it’s not like being creative is a Space-exclusive trait. Sure, Space Players tend to be Creative, but it’s not like everyone who likes art HAS to be Space, that’d be dumb.

While prince of doom sounds scary, they would have the best ability to help save the session from being doomed.

Prince of Doom can destroy Doom, that’s like, potentially on par with a healer in terms of a powerset, they’re likely one of the least threatening Princes.

Until they flip on you and Destroy WITH Doom that is.

A prince of blood could destroy toxic relationships, if they knew it was toxic.

Or without knowing them to be Toxic if they’re a dick and just want to break off bonds.

What power would a Bard of Blood have? [Destruction through bond?]

If there’s a Class that’d destroy through the power of friendship, that’d be them. Intense devotion towards those around them, but also the possibility of tearing apart their bonds with other people or people’s bonds with others. Could easily be a devoted friend doing their best to tear down your enemies because they don’t want you to be in danger, as they could be a manipulative asshole isolating people from others or manipulating them into accepting them as part of their team for some higher purpose.

what's your favorite class and aspect?

I don’t think I have one.

what's the differences between the knowledge of light and the knowledge of mind? i heard someone compare them to the wisdom and intelligence stats, but i forgot which was which.

Light is all about true facts and information. Mind is about someone being smart and how they use said information.

Mmmmm has the page 246 been glitching you too?

Huh- Weird, the music doesn’t play if I refresh or access the page directly, BUT it will play if I just go from page 245 and 246. Sent a message to Viz’s support to check this out.

Can you explain how a succesful Bard would work out like if they weren't villianous?

I mean, Cronus is not Villainous, he’s just an asshole. You can see in his original devotion to Magic and his fate to defeat a great Evil, that he had a pretty similar relationship with being the magical hero as Gamzee does being a servant of Lord English. Bards seem to be kind of obsessed about something, wholly chasing after it, with deep convictions, and getting disillusioned can have quite the nasty effect on them. Soooo, say a Bard is devoted to their Friends. As long as there’s no Betrayals from those friends, they will do everything in their hand to obliterate everything that stands in their way.

Obliterate is a good word.

would dave’s dead timeline self memories go to him since they’re all from his timeline( are they?) time shenanigans confuse me

Nope, different Timelines. Only case we’ve seen a memory merger was with a DREAM SELF, since they operate weirdly outside of Time apparently.

Did you play the second volume of FRIENDSIM? What's your thoughts on Cirava and Amisia?

I have! And I love the two of them.

what are some cool flashy powers for a maid of light? i feel like it's a classpect that can't contribute much on the battlefield (at least, just with classpect powers only), but there's gotta be something else other than generating luck for the team.

I’m pretty sure that I’ve answered the Maid of Light before, but please think about what you’re saying for a moment, and consider that Light doesn’t mean simply fortune. You’re asking for cool, FLASHY powers for a Maid of Light, a Creator of Light. Literally everything they’d do would be Flashy, they’re Light Creators! Laser beams? Light constructs? Healing Light? Not to say, yes, they’d also likely be able to grant Luck as well as have all the facts and answers. Talk about reliable.

I wanted to share my thoughts on the Maid class if you don't mind? I used to think of it is as a 'creator' class, but I also see it as a 'maintenance' class. This is because I see the passive class as the 'heir' and I define the heir as being 'protected' by their aspect. The maid title makes since to me that its about protection and maintaining the aspect. Thoughts on this?

I used to see it like that as well, protecting and keeping and such, but since I headcanon her as the alternative to the Sylph now, things lean more towards creation.

Where would equius even keep the medicaliszer and other robotics

In the vault place deep in his Hive he drags Vriska into to fix her arm maybe? Shrug.

I like the hc that maids create their aspect bcs maid-made and they *make* the aspect idk it always sounded funny

Lmao, yeah sometimes the story sheds light on the Classes with constant use of verbs or with silly little quips like that. Like, I think Sylph and Maid are the Passive and Active Creation Duo because both of them have been linked to Metamorphosis and Resurrection, and have been likened to Fairies. So it’s like. Really specific and weird stuff.

The thing I'm most confused about in all of homestuck is the machines at the beginning. What order do you use them in and what does each one do?

Really? The equipment? That’s like Homestuck 101. I think Rose goes in detail in her GameFAQ, but like. There’s the Cruxtruder. It has the Kernel for you to prototype, you bonk it open and start to produce Cruxite Dowels. It also displays the countdown to see how much time you have left. You just need this to get the Dowel. Then you take the Pre-Punched Card, and the Lathe- When you insert the card, the machine recognizes the pattern on it and creates a distinct and unique pattern with its spike thingies. You put the Dowel on it, and it carves said pattern on the dowel, making it into a Totem. Then you shove that Totem in the Alchemiter, and the scanner reads the grooves the Lathe made and goes like, “Oh! This coincides with X captcha code, which is this specific item. If you want to make it, you need X amount of Grist”.

Can you just give me like. A play by play walkthrough for dummies of what happened in unite, synchronization. Like what did Dirk do and where on the time line was it and how did he know to do it? That flash is so confusing

Dirk Unite and Synchronize are the culmination of Dirk knowing he has to get shit done, and also AR plotting a liiittle bit. AR is a more forceful and kind of creepy Dirk, and I’m pretty sure the head-sending was totally his idea.

So basically, Dirk has seen Jane’s waking self just die, and the Miles have reached Roxy’s place in the Waking World. Before they can move on and try to get the Session properly started, he knows he has to act, quick, and make sure everyone’s alright. However, his own Dreamself is knocked out. He cannot do anything on Derse quite yet. The course of action is obvious- They have to get out of there as FAST as possible.

He takes both of his bots and leaves them in charge of entering the game in Roxy and his stead, passing through the Window to Roxy’s place, and waking her up. Then- Again, likely at the behest of AR, and pressured by the time running out, he knows he needs to wake his Dreamself up… So he decapitates himself and lets Jake deal with his decapitated head.

Once kissed, he wakes up with his Dreamself as the Main Self, and Roxy is also there but she’s grossed out by Jane’s mouth blood and can’t bring herself to smooch her- So he smooches her instead. Derse is ALSO being attacked by Red Miles, these coming from DD instead, so they have to get out of there. So since they can’t take the easy route Jane takes through the Transportalizers to the Frog Temple, they have to take the hard route through a Seed, made to blossom in the Temple millions of years later, just when Jake’s about to wake up and kiss Dirk’s head to awaken him on Derse- So technically Dirk and Roxy pop out of the Seed BEFORE Jake kisses the head.

Since Jane waltzed into the Temple through the Transportalizer Pads, Dirk just snatches her right up, and now has all three of their Dreamselves safe and sound in the same place. All that’s left is waking Jake up and watching him snog with his decapitated head and bam, time loop closed, everyone has still one living self alive, Roxy and Dirk’s places are entering the medium, and all 4 players left reach the Medium through Jake’s Land.

I think it's interesting that both jade and rose entering the medium relied on a blind test of fate whereas johns was like- eat this apple and Dave's was climb bitch

Nay, Rose’s was a leap of faith yes, but only by the circumstances. Otherwise, her test is merely to shatter a symbol of Void, relating to her mother. But you could say SBURB knew this and accounted for the leap of faith. However, John and Dave’s are also highly symbolic and you don’t give them enough credit.

Dave’s wasn’t related to the climb. He didn’t manage to get there in time, remember? Seppucrow tossed him right before he could reach the Egg. It was a test of Time. The Egg cracked on its own moments after the impact of the Meteor, and he survived thanks to the time Bro bought him by splitting it in half. A test of Patience, for a Knight of Time.

For John though, it’s not as much of a challenge, as it’s… Well, I mean. Taking a bite out of the Apple? Whether you consider it the Original Sin, loss of innocence, or take the Gnostic Meaning of Sophia giving a gift to Humanity and try to correct her mistake in creating Yaldabaoth…  There’s a lot to unpack in the fact it’s an Apple.

Headcanon that troll playing cards are troll romance symbols

Aren’t. Aren’t cards already Troll Romance Symbols.

Leprechaun I meant

OH. Fair. But how do you exactly have a set of cards with 9 symbols? That sounds. Cumbersome.

Do you prefer Handmaid or Condesce? At the same time: Damara or Meenah?

Condy, and Damara.

Poll time: What does the Condesce wear? >Fuchsia glasses >Fuchsia goggles

They seem like Glasses! Meenah Glasses.

this is a different anon but werent the leprechaun romance symbols the charms in lucky charms?

Yep, and a relationship with three charms is called a Trove. Little Homestuck Facts.

What can you say about Cirava's route? What do you think about those tidbits of worldbuilding that it had?

I don’t quite want to talk about it until next instalment comes out? To give people more time to play the game. But generally I feel Cirava had more character-building and it was Amisia’s route which built Alternia’s world a little bit more.

can could u imagine dying and godtiering with a friend whose a bard and just looking at their outfit (like and jane and jake were with his pantless legs lol)

God, we all play it chill and matter of fact now that we know about the Cod Tier, but yes, just ascending and suddenly looking down at that thing must be a “WHAT THE FUCK?” moment. Specially for people who don’t know what a codpiece is. “WHY DOES MY OUTFIT HAVE A BONER???”

Wait... it was said that if troll loses their Lusus, they get culled eventually (probs when they enter age of flying away)... Diemen lost his lusus to drone attack. Oh no(

Yeah but he also lost his Hive. His hope is that they’ll think he died in the Drone Bombing and he’ll stay off the grid until he dies at the ripe old age of 20-something Sweeps.

"Battle with Condense was anticlimatic(((" She have spent millenias buffing herself up and getting buffed by Demiurge analogue to be able to pick fight with literal physical gods for the LE's sake! She've done great.

She had a fitting end to a Tyrant, struck down by the sword symbolic of those who didn’t make it until the end.

One of the major complaints about her anticlimatic death is that she should be Immortal due to LE’s curse, or that the curse would pass on when she died. The former can easily be explained by the fact she had accomplished her role, set everything up for the Timeline that would eventually create Lord English himself. It could also be explained if that wasn’t the Alpha Timeline, or if LE felt she betrayed her with all her conspiring against him, all perfectly plausible explanations with their ups and downs, but since we don’t exactly know 100% what happened, it’s left ambiguous. She could ALSO wake up after the battle, resurrected, since we turned our back on the body, that’s also a possibility for the Epilogue, although I feel it’s unlikely.

As for the curse passing… It’s actually fanon. LE cursed the Handmaid, she could only died when he willed it to. And Handmaid’s last task was a recruitment job. She would die in the fight to Condy, and then LE would curse Condy to be the next one in line serving him. It’s never stated the curse automatically switches bodies, and in fact the mere fact Handy’s task is called a ‘recruitment’, and that English was there physically in that moment, heavily implies it’s something he himself had to grant. Condy’s last job wasn’t a recruitment. She just set the scene for Lord Jack to collapse into a black hole and bring everything needed to Caliborn’s Session. After that? She was disposable. Gamzee makes a much better servant than she ever did after all.

how is equius able to attach robotic body parts to biological bodies?

Alternia Shenanigans.

Really though, Troll Tech is hyperadvanced Biotechnology, no reason why he COULDN’T do that.

would i say that @creative-classpect has close to accurate (as u can be ofc) to possible class powers?

Shrug, don’t really follow them? I bet they have fun theories! Classpects are extremely arbitrary and versatile, I’d be surprised if they didn’t put some cool ideas on the table, even if our Headcanons may not coincide 1 to 1!

You remember how Caliborn just literally shoved a robotic leg unto his bitten off stump? And that's basically all he needed to do to walk? This should be an indicator on how robot prosthetics work in the comic as far as Andrew can be bothered to explain. Still, Equius built thousands of robots probably, so he should be smart enough with his own biotechnology.

That is true, but also these are two different instances. Equius works of Alternian Robotics and does stuff for Trolls. Dirk is on a Condy-controlled-Earth and sending the leg to Caliborn. Is Equius’ machinery more organic and more easy to interface with living beings? Is Dirk using Alternian or Earth machinery given Condy rules everything? Is it the robotics, or just Cherub Anatomy? There’s a few questions raised by that. It also makes sense on a sort of video sense, like. It could certainly be more complex but with a fast paced gruesome scene, also parodying Lord English’ first appearance in the Intermission 2, it wouldn’t make sense to like… Go into slow, excruciating detail about robotic implants.

How much blood did vriska lose after she blew her arm off? Some estimate?

We don’t really know how much blood Trolls have in their bodies, its pressure, or the amount needed for them to lose consciousness/die, so no idea.

I just noticed that most of the sprites that were made are Derse dreamers.

Huh. With Jadesprite in the mix though it seems just kind of arbitrary. Also Nannasprite may count towards the Prospit count.

so like is inversion actually a thing in the comic or is it just an idea people came up with that just happens to explain somethings in the comic. It's just out of curiosity it's just that I can't exactly recall anyone potentially inverting save for Rose (who just became Void cuz of horrorterrors)

Inversion is a headcanon and theory of some regarding an actually noticeable thing that happens in the comic with certain characters, but which has been expanded by the current Roleplay Theory. It’s still likely not perfect? But basically- Instead of Classpects just… Switching completely and inverting, it’d seem characters just simply act like people they look up to, to the point of emulating their Class, and sometimes, even their Aspect. Corruption forces them to act against their own natural tendencies, which in turn can also shift their Classpect.

A notable example is Vriska, whose admiration of Mindfang leads her to act out the role of a Sylph of Light for a GOOD chunk of the Webcomic. She’s always trying to be there, she’s fussy and meddlesome, Making things happen, being compared to a fairy… She also spectacularly fails at this role, specially with Tavros, to the point of vilifying herself, at which point she starts to think back on what she’s done wrong.

Rose’s also a clear example, of acting like a Witch of Void, but this time instead of admiration for a person, it seems to be for the role and influence by the Horrorterrors. There’s a lot to consider with different characters and Roleplay, but it opens the doors to a lot more versatility than Inversion, and it makes more senses because… We’re explicitly shown Trolls inherit the karmic fate of their Ancestors, and come to emulate them, and in acting like these Ancestors, they’re acting a different Class than their own.

How does jade control jadebot when she sleeps?

She doesn’t. It copies Dream Jade’s movements as long as she’s asleep on her bed, and records what her Dreamself sees. It also likely has failsafes to not bump into stuff because Jade’s Island and Prospit aren’t a 1-1 copy of each other.
