How did Alt!Calliope fly to the Green Sun if she’s a ghost? Was she still in a dream bubble?
As the Furthest Ring is blown right open and the Bubbles explode, the Space of the Furthest Ring becomes more stable and navigable, basically reality begins to spill on the seams of the Non-Euclidean Space.
When you said hussie talked about classpecting pearl... where and When? Would love to find and read it
If you look up “Steven Universe Homestuck” or “Steven Universe God Tier”, a picture will pop up of art with the Crystal Gems in God Tiers- Garnet as the Seer of Time, Amethyst as the Rogue of Void, Steven as the Page of Heart, and Pearl as the Maid of Hope. It was originally posted on Twitter, and if you look around you’ll find a response by Hussie to that tweet where he praises the God Tier choice. I don’t quite know the original, but it’s popular enough that you can find the screencaps easily.
Is is possible for a Heart player's Splinters to have a class/aspect/full classpect different from their original counterpart, should they even be able to possess one? For example, if one were able to separate parts of their soul or something–or some other form of Splintering.
Splinters are a Splinter of the same Soul, unless something extremely dramatic happened they’re still the same Soul, and as such, the same Classpect. Not to say- The sense of Self of a Heart Player doesn’t always have to be Splintered, Splinters are kind of specific.
which of the classes do you believe to believe to be dependent vs independent for i feel like: seer, page, maid, prince, are more dependent classes whether on emotional stability or just anything else and the rest independent: heirs, witches , etc except i don’t know where i’d put a thief, the thief’s in some HS seemed to always dependent on someone for something (meenah with vriska for adventure , vriska with terezi and tavros) thoughts?:0
I had no idea this was even a take on the Classes, and it’s… Interesting, but I wouldn’t be quite able to tell? Being dependent on someone or independent is very related to every specific individual.
years back, a friend told me that vriska's mind control only worked on the weaker-minded (like tavros), and definitely not terezi. is this true? or did terezi's mind powers result in her immunity, if there even is an immunity. (im guessing aranea's is much stronger due to her age)
Terezi and Aradia are both immune. The fact Aradia’s immune means it’s not caste-related, nor is it Aspect-related, but it’s highly likely lower castes are just usually more mentally weak.
This is a stupid question but, is there any oxigen in the Medium? In the Incipiscere? In the dream moons? In the meteor? On the planets without plants? And if it is, where does it come from?
Just like how there’s electricity and Internet even though the houses have been severed off the grid completely, it’s likely that there’s either just random oxygen everywhere, or that everything past the game is more conceptual than physical, so it’s more that they stop physically requiring oxygen to survive?
I don't think anyone was immune, but rather, vriska wasn't strong enough to control them, as evidenced when aranea could control people vriska couldn't
I mean she controls the Dancestors, but not quite the actual Beta Trolls does she? The closest she may come is when she controls Terezi during Game Over- But that always felt like her telekinetically manipulating her body rather than mind controlling her.
Theres at least 4 aspects that i relate to a lot but i cant figure out my true aspect and now im suffering with indecision :( please help
Really, no one can tell you what your True Aspect is better than yourself. If there’s four of them you relate to, it may really be any to the point you could choose based on power preferences or aesthetics! Otherwise, trying to look which one is more prevalent in your life, or which one you’d relate to the most if you were in your ideal spot in life could help tip the balance.
Before the aspect test, I thought I was either Light, Void, Heart or Mind. After a lot of introspection (because of the test) I found out I wasn't Light bound or Void bound at all and that I couldn't choose between Heart and Mind. In the end I found out that I was Breath bound thanks to the test. So my advice to the last anon would be lot of introspection and if you can't decide between two opposite aspect, (like mind and heart), try looking at other ?
while we're on the subject of not being able to figure out things about your god tier, how should i try and figure out my class? I've already guessed that i'm hope (the official test narrowed it down a lot!) but i just cant seem to pinpoint a class i belong to. Any advice?
Same as with Aspect honestly. See which may fit you better. Relating to characters…
So WAY before the Extended Zodiac test came out I thought I was a Bard of Heart, I was okay with this for awhile before a VERY persistent friend was dead set on me not being a Bard. She then sent me a link to a fanmade god tier quiz that she told me to do. (I ignored it cuz it was fanmade) BOOM Extended Zodiac comes out (to my shock I relate to indigo the most) I take it and Oh boy I got Prospit Hope Bound. I took other Class quizzes and got Seer constantly, So how are Seers useful and help out?
Seers are THE Guides. Mages can aid guide others too, but they can be more self-driven, and seem to base themselves more in intuition. Seers seem to use literal foresight and gathering of information from various sources, past, present and future, to build up an idea about whatever it is they need regarding their Aspect, to envision the possibilities in their Mind and make sure something does or doesn’t happen. They direct the Timeline in the direction they may need necessary, and influence those around them to act. Rose, planning the entirety of the Green Sun Mission, and then just knowing the way through the Furthest Ring, to point Aradia and Sollux where to throw the Meteor. Terezi, searching through the possibilities of her and Vriska’s choices to see the only ways things could go, reading her own choices to give John specific moments in her life to go through…
Hello, I’ve been trying to figure out what a thief of blood does. Have you covered it before ? Could a Thief blood make people do things by using contracts and bonds ( stealing through blood ) ? Sorry for the butt load of questions I’m just really curious what you think !
I’ve talked about the Thief of Blood in a more power, vampire-based kind of way- But you know what, you’re ABSOLUTELY right, a devil-like figure taking from people through contracts and agreements, with vile trickery to get others to agree while reaping the benefit of their gullibleness would TOTALLY be Thief of Blood-y
I was reading your list of characters status, and I had an idea on how Gamzee reached Earth C : When the head of Jack English (Jack Noir fused with LE) exploded, the fridge with Gamzee inside (as it was on Dirk's planet, where the explosion occured) was sent towards Skaia. Skaia opened a portal and the fridge was sent to the underwater Earth. Rust probably appeared on the locks, and he was able to hide on Earth C. Gamzee (and the fridge, probably) has plot-armor, so he'll survive that.
You forget the head’s explosion made a Black Hole. He wasn’t sent away. He was sucked in. Gamzee, the Crowbar, even Yaldabaoth, are all items that are in Caliborn’s Land, on the future Earth- It’s obvious the Black Hole was a worm hole connecting the end of Lord English (Lord Jack’s version) and the start of his journey (Caliborn), and it makes sense! after all, if the items Caliborn gets come from the defeat of an iteration of Lord English? Then that ensures to close the Time Loop, Lord English has to exist, and become enough of a threat that people would oppose an iteration of it and defeat it, thus sending his Caretaker and the Weapon he used to achieve immortality to his realm.
And that’s the scary thing about Lord English. Even his Defeat is part of the plan. Because he was defeated, he could begin his journey, and become Lord English in the first place. You cannot hope to stop the Demon.
You know what destroys Calliopes gendered classes theory? Bards have no gendered connotations, so why would they be a male only class? You could argue it's due to the cod piece, but it seems god tier suits can be modified and vary according to Meenah, Sollux and Meulin.
Good grief, who WOULDN’T want to wear a magnificent Codpiece like the Bard’s, of course it’s unisex.
In all seriousness though, it was either a mistake by Hussie that he corrected, or just intended to be another theory by Calliope, she’s explicitly a Theorist after all. Regardless, considering as… Distasteful as the Cod Piece boner may be, having it be a male-only Class BECAUSE of that would be a tad transphobic. If anything a better reason would be the Prince-Bard duality- With ‘Prince’ being a male-coded name, just as ‘Witch’ is female-coded. But yeah, Classes are not Gendered.
What sells me on the idea that it was intended to be a debunkable theory from the beginning is how arbitrarily she sticks to the idea of Rogues and Thieves being a female-predominant Class. Like. There’s no reason why that’d be, other than the fact there’s 5 characters with the Thief and Rogue Classes, and only 1 of them is a guy. It’s a very biased point of view taken from an extremely reduced sample size.
Where did the rings of life/void come from what is the extent of their powers?
It’s unknown what the extent of their power is. Their very nature is mysterious in the same way though- They’re implied, in Canon, to come from a Void Session, which implies they are the White and Black Queen’s Rings from the Alpha Kids’ Session. This is further implied by the fact Roxy and DD become invisible when wearing the Black Queen’s Ring, but, Caliborn implies a closer connection to the Void, and we know the Queen’s Ring can cast the Red Miles, so it’s hard to tell if it can STILL do that, if it’s just like. Stuff the Ring can do naturally, or if it’s specific to THAT ring, or if something happens to it afterwards that makes it into a Juju.
The Life Ring is even weirder, we know it can bring a character back to life- But it is not something the Kids got from the White Queen or anything like that. You know the furthest back traceable origin of the Ring of Life? Fucking Hussie. HUSSIE himself gave it to Vriska, and then Tavros got it, then John got it. There’s also the implication that they may actually be the same One Ring, rather than two separate ones, since ‘losing one’ is usually linked to ‘finding the other’. The fact in the end the Caliborn that becomes Lord English is wearing the Ring of Void, and Calliope is wearing the Ring of Life, only reinforces the idea of duality, yet one and the same, though.
And honestly, we cannot tell much more from them. It’s one of the biggest mysteries of the comic right now, and they’re not helped at all by the fact that they are… Well. Jujus. They’re authorial McGuffins. They appear and disappear and have extremely powerful and arbitrary powers in-canon. There’s no trace-able origin in the story itself. Because there’s really not much of an origin. They’re Plot Points- The Vessel of the Villain, spanning the entire story. The Manifestation of the Plot itself with the Kids trapped within which they must escape in order to get away from English. The Clock that showcases who lives and who dies. The Ring able to bring back any character from the realm of the dead. A Cheat Code that makes everyone hyper creepy happy alluded to be an Easter Egg in the game that is SBURB. It’s like. They’re not physical, sensical things. There’s a layer of Meta over every Juju.
Is the window colour of a troll's hive the same as their blood colour?
Nope, it seems arbitrary, or maybe thematic to other stuff? Aradia’s is brown (Team Charge?), Tavros’ is blue (Vriska? Breath?), Sollux’s is pink (Feferi?), Karkat’s is orange (No connection. Early Blood color scheme?), we never see Nepeta’s Hive from the outside, but the color of the inside of the house seems reddish so it may give off that hue, or perhaps pinkish (Heart?), Kanaya’s is literally Jade’s tower so the windows have no specific color, Terezi’s is yellow (Yeah no connection either), Vriska’s is cerulean (Vriska), Equius’ is blue (B100), Gamzee’s is yellow (??? May just be, light in general being yellowish, there seems to be a lot of yellows and oranges and reds and pinks), Eridan’s is violet (Wweh), and Feferi’s is Pink (Glub!). So, sometimes it matches, it seems maybe more typical of the higher castes? It should also be noted Sollux lives in an apartment and every block of the apartment has that same pink hue to the windows, so it’s not just him.
I don't like the theory that the black hole sent everything to Caliborn, because then, it would mean that Calliope would have had Yaldabaoth as a Denizen, not Echidna. Or that would mean the explosion happened on Jade's planet in the Doomed Timeline where Calliope enters the session.
Well, the thing is- Alt! Calliope was never in contact with anyone from the Alpha Group. Without Calliope, Roxy and Dirk would’ve stayed disconnected from Jane and Jake, they would’ve never been able to even start the Session of SBURB and get to know each other. There was never a Black Hole to send Yaldabaoth to Calliope in that Alt Session, because she’s… From a Doomed Timeline. In which she predominated over Caliborn. A Doomed Timeline where Lord English was not born, and as such all of his Time Loop is unravelled and couldn’t go too far.
Classes and Aspects are supposed to represent what one tends to do, no matter what, right? For example, if you were a bard of something and you tried to be a knight of something else, eventually you would fall back on your bard ways and learn to triumph through them? That's how it appears we are supposed to classpect people. But knowing what I tend to do is such a hard thing to discover! Is there another way to classpect yourself?
Some times your innate tendencies may not be the best. Look at Dirk. As a Prince, he struggles against his ego and his controlling ways- Him acting more like a Knight actually offsets the overwhelmingness of a Prince, trying to better himself to an extent. Innate tendencies are good in moderation, but when you are excessively one way or another, you’ve got to keep yourself in check somehow.
You know, I thought about the whole "just" killing thing and ... maybe it doesn't mean it in a justice sense but more in a "JUSTified" sense?
Then again, when the ‘Justice’ is determined by a system like Paradox Space, is there any difference between what may be ‘Justice’ to the Universe, and what may be ‘Justified’?
How does Sollux being derse and prospit work?? Does he choose which one he goes to, or what dictates which one he goes to when he falls asleep?
He woke up on Prospit first, but kissing him after dying made him awaken as his Dersite self. So it seems that people with two Dream Selves will wake up on their non-main Dream Moon first, and resurrect as their Main Dream Moon self.
what baffles me most about homestuck is the casual group of troll friends that contains the fucking heiress herself and nobody even mentions it. i love it so much. it's wholesome but why is nobody in the group losing their shit over it? that's. that's the fucking empress
Well, most of the group either doesn’t give a fuck about the Hemospectrum, are already up there, or are Seadweller racist (Looking at you Equius). It’s also possible they can just not be optimistic. Given the track record she was just. Going to die as soon as Condy got back to Alternia.
would waking up literally surrounded by the horror terrors in the outer ring result in you being corrupted like rose?
I mean not really, she just obeyed their will and gazed into the unknowable with her Seer Vision. They’re just. Calamari with teeth basically out there. If you were physically there, it’s likely they’d have some weird psychic effect but it’s not like they want to corrupt everyone and everything. In fact they didn’t even really corrupt Rose as much as they… Granted her a boon. They nudged her to seek revenge, but they didn’t make her do anything she didn’t want to already.
how did the beta gaurdians aspects manifest themselves in the time we knew them
Mom, Alcohol is extremely related to Void, and so is Negligence. She was as good as absent to Rose, and she never managed to even know her properly.
Grandpa, uses his love of adventuring and collecting things, the building of the narrative of an adventurous explorer, and his imagination, to escape the harsh reality that is the death of his wife and the eventual annihilation of the Human Race because of SBURB.
Nanna was bound by the Baking Goods Baroness that made her life hell, but pushed through to become a positive influence in John’s life and his Healer quite a few times.
Bro is pretty centered about his values, about himself. What he thinks is important for Dave, to the point of neglecting what Dave actually needs. He tries to strengthen him to the point of abusing the poor thing, and can’t see the damage he’s causing because, in his eyes, he believes being in Dave’s same position, it would be the best for him.
hullo! i was just wondering if you knew what a sylph, heir, or maid of hope would be like?? thanks for all of your advice to everyone else on discovering their classpects btw! awesome stuff
Hey! It’s late and I’m a bit burnt out so I’ll check the tags tomorrow in case either of those haven’t been answered to- But just in case, feel free to hit up my search bar and look for those Classpects, I’ve already answered a good chunk of them! I’ve been considering doing something more comprehensive at some point, but we’ll see…
Even if Cronus was humankin, I'm surprised he didn't wear as much jewellery as Eridan since he's [Cronus] the second highest blood in the hemospectrum
Cronus isn’t Humankin, he pretends to be to get attention. He hides his jewelry on a nearby chest to make it seem like the Hemospectrum isn’t a big deal for him to also get more attention, even though he totally sees himself as superior.
It's not racism. Seadwellers and landdwellers have a sort of rivalry. See: Vriska and Eridan.
CG: YOU KISS THE GROUND THIS LUNATIC WALKS ON BECAUSE HE HAS PURPLE BLOOD CG: BUT THAT DOESN’T STOP YOU FROM RIPPING ON ERIDAN, I KNOW FOR A FACT YOU DON’T LIKE HIM CG: AND HIS BLOOD IS EVEN PURPLIER, ISN’T IT? CT: D –> Yes CT: D –> That’s different CT: D –> He is a sea dweller CT: D –> Our feud is codified in tradition CT: D –> Neigh, we are obligated to be at odds CT: D –> It’s dignified
Call it a rivalry if you want, but I mean. With Equius’ Casteism being such a part of his character, the biased demeaning of Seadwellers based on arbitrary traditional reasons, regardless of their actual status, sounds a bit more shitty than just rivalry.
would a thief of Void have the same powers as a rogue of void but use them for different purposes?
Yes and No. Even two Rogues of Void may not even have the same powers. They have the potential of having the same powers, but Classpect Powers are a big bunch and everyone taps into it differently. Thieves and Rogues have the same verb- But just like two Rogues or two Thieves, there’s a lot of differences to take into account.
Awww, no problem at all! Also let me take this chance to say, sorry if I’ve ever deleted any of your asks! Not just yours anon, but just like, in general? Whether it be not having time for something, miss-clicking, or just working on something tangentially that would talk about it in the same way, I try to get through as many of these as possible!
I hate it when my creativity won't work and I just can't find any ideas other than my fanspecies to make my fansession unique (which is literally ever since I got the idea :( )
I mean the thing about Fan Species is the fact you can do anything, since you’re not restricted to any rule. You can even take species from other franchises.
Well I already have the fanspecies set, it's making the session unique I'm having trouble with. (Also its somewhat difficult to do a mspa like style but I'm practicing and doing better at that)
I mean, technically just by the mere nature of SBURB, any Session is unique in its own way. The Lands, the Classpects, the Prototyped Stuff, the Alchemy, it’s all distinct! If you want to difference the Session from others, try doing something interesting with the Exiles and the Agents- Jack helps the Trolls, and becomes the Big Bad of the Beta Kids, so try and make something where Jack is too busy doing paperwork to actually have much of a role, or maybe he dies early, and you can have some other figure rise to power or mess stuff up! Players plotting to do something or corrupted in some way, Horrorterrors testing the Players going too far and ending up pitting them against each other…
Either by being on the meteors when the Reckoning Starts, or because there’s a literal war going on and their Land/Kingdom has been destroyed to the point they cannot keep living there.
Okay okay so hear me out, what if Witch/sylph were the creators (Maybe changers but that sounds kinda silly), and heir/maid were the inheritors (Maybe the possesors or owners but something along those lines). Since heir and maid both show some kind of ownership and they both sorta "are" their aspect (John becomes air to escape jack and aradia already being dead). And since sylph and witch have alot of similarities (but I'm running out of space and don't have the room to explain it I'm sorry)
It’s a popular pair, and it was originally a pair I headcanoned, but nowadays I go with Maid/Sylph and Witch/Heir because they’ve shown way more similarities. Both Maids and Sylphs are talked about in mythical terms of some sort as Faes, and have consistently been the ones to pull off acts of resurrection, specially of self-resurrection, whereas Witches and Heirs have a connection to Magicians and Familiars, as well as a more consistent manipulation of their Aspects.
I’ve seen many people call the active classes the “bad classes” because they do things for themselves. Many people I talk to especially target the prince and thief. I don’t think this is the case and it’s more up to the individual, if the classpect is used for good or evil. I mean look at what a sylph did !
Yeah, exactly. Classes aren’t inherently good or bad, and lumping all Princes, for example, into the ‘bad’ Class bunch misses a big portion of Dirk’s entire character arc. Besides, if active were ‘bad’, Bards don’t exactly have the best reputation, so it already doesn’t check out.
